This app is the nearly perfect fitness tracker app. I use it 6 days a week.
You can add workouts, each consisting of sets of exercises that you can create on the fly while editing a workout. The navigation concept in this case is great.
Break times can be configured per set.
When creating an exercise you can choose on what to focus on. Reps, weight OR even time. That’s good when you have HIIT as part of strength training, or any other isometric exercise.
While creating workouts and adjusting weight/reps/time all values for all sets below the edited set of the exercise are set to the typed value, which saves a lot of time.
The advanced keyboard is also very smart.
I have two use cases, that would improve the app for me a lot, and make it perfect:
1.) Somehow when choosing the option to lock the screen (Screen Always On) this doesn’t work on my iPhone SE. I have the latest iOS version. Whenever there is a break this does not lock my screensaver and the screen becomes dark. A notification is shown then when the break is over instead.
2.) The sound when a break is over cannot be made louder, would be cool if one could also choose between some different sounds. Also the sound respects my “silence” setting. This is not necessary. In the gym I don’t want to be disturbed, except by the break over timer of course.
You can find an example of the described points in the app “Stretch”. That’s a very simple timer app I used earlier.
