The Telegraph: UK & World News Avis

I’m an online Telegraph subscriber from abroad and wouldn’t be without this app using it daily to keep up with news from UK. I don’t have fast broadband, but I can download most of the content in a few minutes. I much prefer this version to previous ones, as it seems to be most of the content and I find it easy to select the content I want to read. I also like the Telegraph news updates especially during Covid I’ve read/heard about important UK and international changes, often ahead of the country where I reside. Just one thing, though, sometimes these ‘updates’ contain errors where it seems to me the content has been uploaded without proper factual checking/editing. So perhaps need improved quality editing ahead of publishing?

What a fresh air to read the Telegraph from France !
I rate the app 4 /5 because a search tool is missing. Finding a given article by its title or key words would be much better.

It’s such a relief to read a paper that doesn’t pander to woke culture and the feel-good discourse of the Left.
I am also subscribing to the New York Times for my work but it’s unbearable!! I will cancel it: a dishonest and toxic paper…so biased!
Please hold on to your views and keep standing up against American self-righteous tyrannical thought police.

Wonderful to be able to read my paper every day no matter where I am. Sometimes the download is a bit slow. Maybe you could give us the option of storing one or two editions rather than the minimum of 7

For the past two weeks I have problems typing I the answers. At times it is impossible to move from clue to clue and the page freezes. The page also freezes when trying to check if the answers are correct. I have twice deleted the apt and reinstalled it making no difference.

Arrives in the early hours every morning without fail, easy to download which it does in very reasonable time. As an Expat in France who has always enjoyed the Telegraph, it is very good value, much less than the airmail version and arrives at least a day earlier.

As a newcomer to iPads and apps, and living in France, I have "free trialled" several papers in an effort to save me the extortionate costs of buying the papers here. The Telegraph app is slow to download, but I get there eventually and find the content very good. I do the crosswords every day and think the "marking" is great, so I can see my mistakes from the previous day. The picture gallery is excellent as is all the usual D.T. content. I would like to see a weather forecast and perhaps the top 100 shares, plus latest exchange rates.

Great newspaper, but the delivery is dreadful. Sometimes downloads, sometimes doesn’t. Often difficult to navigate within a page, usually closes down of its own accord at least once a day, often more. Had a recurring problem recently where the headlines would download but not the articles behind them. Ambitions racing ahead of the ability to deliver them.

I particularly enjoy the latest application.. the Newspaper and the latest . Great

Why when my account is debited Automatically via Apple Pay do you cancel my subscription. Someone must sort it out ,don’t blame the pandemic.

Like many other reviews I am fed-up with having to continually reload the app. It has to be one of the worst offenders. Also if I come out of the store and go back in at a later period, unlike your competitors, I have to wait for the publication to reload from zero. This app is far too time consuming but I persevere because I like the cryptic crossword. Also there are too many adverts.
It appears to me that you pay no attention whatsoever to your disappointed readers. I have wasted a morning trying to open the App and have given up trying.
It appears to me that it is a waste of time writing a review if no action is taken. With so many of us of the same opinion why has nothing been done to improve this App?

Very pleasant app. Would be perfect if it were possible to share articles on Twitter or Facebook directly from the app. I have to go back to the web site instead. Any plans to fix this? Best regards.

I do so wish we could have the Polyword, and the big prize general knowledge crossword puzzles on the electronic DT and ST. However I'm pleased that we can now submit the prize cryptic crossword puzzles using the I-pad. But living in France, access to my favourite newspaper is a real treat, and I appreciate this.

Easy to use and move between topic categories. Clear format. Easy and quick to download each day. Excellent coverage of supplements at weekends. Puzzle section entries and checking solutions works well.

If you are a Daily telegraph reader then tips app is for you. Very user friendly, timely and has all the contents that you get with the paper version

Great way to read the news. Not buggy, fast, love the puzzles too. Happy to recommend this app.

The last few weeks have seen some improvements on the I Pad edition, but is still poor compared to some of the competition. The articles need more depth and the feel of the app just not seem right.

I wait until it appears to have fully downloaded, but then if I go offline the only parts available are those i've already read; or as their journalists would like to say “as much as I've already read”.

When it has allegedly fully downloaded, I still have to wait for individual pages to appear, although it does seem to download itself eventually if I remain online.

Great app. But takes forever to download
