While paying for Perplexity Pro, I’ve just got this astounding answer to the most idiotic prompt: what is the sum of the following numbers: 143, 149, 162, 171, 169, 162, 142, 135, 140, 181, 176, 165, 152, 144, 143, 178, 167, 163? 21 seconds later, after visiting 5 websites (!), the dead serious answer from Perplexity “The sum of the given numbers is 2,676” (correct 2,842)… Trillions of dollars of funding in LLM for that, seriously? It makes no sense to charge for an AI assistant that is incapable of correctly performing basic mathematics and cannot even make simple additions! The answers provided are inconsistent and completely inaccurate, with no visible disclaimer to warn about the incorrect calculations in your application. Bard by GOOGLE can effortlessly accomplish this task accurately, so what is your explanation? How can you justify the absence of such a disclaimer? You are, at most, an experimental work in progress and by no means a final service that can be charged for solving anything! As it is, your offer can have a terrible impact on the younger audience.
