Most of people are not there to practice, they are just looking for a relationship or more attention. Some of them don't even speak their "native language" correctly, there are hookers, and scammers among a small minority of learners. And there are always people posting on the wrong feed. I have seen a post in Mandarin on the Swedish feed from someone who didn't care about learning Swedish. And I spend more time blocking people then practising for real.
Oh and The app is crashing all the time when you have to deal with more than one conversation, and sometimes audio messages don't work correctly.
Tandem and HelloTalk are much better, stay away from Heypal, this app is just a waste of time for all these people who really want to learn languages.
