I am going to be the party pooper here but this app is praised everywhere and after two weeks using it I doubt I’ll launch it again. I forced myself to use it daily but I don’t see the point.
Simply, it does nothing really better than the stock Photo app. Yes you can control precisely to mur outcome, but if you compare each time with what the stock app would do, well, you get the same thing. And if you want occasional DNG, this is the most expensive way to have it.
Why only one star? The app is horrible to use. There’s no feedback when you take the pic, the feedback comes a full second after that when the pic is added to the stack. But the pic was indeed taken when you touched the screen. How does this behavior pass QA? Honestly puzzled. Oh and my on XR so quite a beast of a phone.
The filters are highly unimpressive and let’s not talk about a camera app with filters in 2020. You want filters, you know where to go already.
The peek masks don’t work so much too. Time consuming instead of time saving.
Edit: changed to 5 stars after developer answer. Want to support them anyway. I still think the app has a behavior feedback issue that renders it unusable at this time. The feedbacks need to be immediate and the stack populated immediately even if it’s with a dummy thumb. As it is now, it’s like using a digicam from 1995.
I keep the app because of its support for anamorphic optics, but I guess that’s the only reason. Please try to make the feedback instant and obvious. It doesn’t have to represent the photo being processed but the action of taking the pic. Focus peeking also registers to wide, on zones that aren’t really super in focus.
