Nach einem Update lässt sich die OCR Live Kamera-Funktion leider nicht mehr benutzen ohne die Gebühr für Yomiwa Pro zu bezahlen. Es wurde weiterhin eine Begrenzung für die Anzahl der möglichen Nachschläge eingeführt.
Normalerweise hätte ich kein Problem für diese Features zu bezahlen, aber da ich YomiwaJapanischesWörterbuch schon einmal gekauft habe empfinde ich das als ziemliche Abzocke.
I’m my previous (1 star) review I complained about the app requiring purchasing a package to unlock OCR. As it turns out, I was wrong, and actually stupid to make assumptions. The app offers 8 OCRs (of direct photos or existing in your library) per week, which I didn’t realise due to the prompt to (pay for) upgrade to full OCR. Had I clicked on the ‘later’ option I would have realised my mistake, but alas, I did not. I’m sorry about that. Sadly the kanji I’m interested in wasn’t recognised, probably because of stroke work or handwriting or something.
Cent bereut, den ich dafür bezahlt habe. Einfach zu nutzen, die Übersetzungen sind passend und der Support ist sehr gut. Auch der Yomibrowser von den gleichen Entwicklern ist super

Awesome application, detects every kanji almost imediatly. Very fast and usefull, if ur in japan you will love this app ;)

Das Gute an YomiwaJapanischesWörterbuch neben dem Wörterbuch und der Kanji-Suche ist, dass man sie auch auf Fotos und Kamerabilder und sogar im Flugmodus (also theoretisch auch beim Urlaub in Japan?) anwenden kann. Bisher habe ich jisho.org als Wörterbuch verwendet. Für Japanische News(NHK web easy), die ich auf dem Handy anschaue, ist die Fotoübersetzung von Screenshots incl. Grammatikinfo und Furigana zusätzlich sehr hilfreich. Ist ihr Geld bisher wert. Werde weiter testen. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
Erkennt selbst viele handgeschriebene Sachen problemlos und liefert einigermaßen verständliche Übersetzungen.
War super nützlich auf meiner Japanreise.
I study Japanese in Düsseldorf (Germany) and all people around me including older master students said that this app is great. I use it on daily basis in and off school. Every penny worth!
I think by far, the most useful highlight in this nice app is the manual search by writing the kanji even if you write it in the wrong order. As I‘m learning, I can search easily and get familiar with the kanji I‘m looking at instead of having it simply visually translated.
