Pocket Bard Erfahrungen und Bewertung

It was not possible to read the terms and conditions because when you open them a popup shows where you can either “Agree” or “Read Terms and Conditions”, however, when you want to read them, the same popup shows again effectively preventing you from reading them. Looks shady to me - so I closed the app without agreeing to anything. Remains to be seen if there will be any billing (to which I never agreed).

Good App. But even in the premium version some sound do not work since weeks. It is the very important boom and the explosion sound.

The app is great and works good. The problem is that the monthly subscription service is very expensive, about 7,99€ per month and 79,99€ per Year ist simple to much.

I would buy it if there were a one time payment but no subscription service. That is simply to much!

THe idea for this app is awesome. I could not wait to use it in our weekly DnD round.
There are two problems that make it difficult to use at the moment:
1. Airplay seems not to work. Please make it possible to use Airplay to use bigger speaker than the ones of the phone without a cord.
2. The App is not usable on Mac. It always crashes on start up. THis was my other possibility to use it with speakers.
If you can fix these to problems the App would be just perfect and become a permanent part of our group setup.

Hab PocketBard bei einem D&D OneShot benutzt und war wirklich begeistert. Steuerung war einfach und die Hintergrund Musik passte immer gut in mein Setting. Negativ ist für mich das es hier nur ein Abo gibt , das meiner Meinung nach viel zu teuer ist. Lieber eine kleine Einmalzahlung , als ein teueres Abomodel. Deswegen nur 4 Sterne

Gefällt mir auch in der free Version schon sehr.
Ich vermisse etwas eigene Sounds hinzufügen zu können.
Eine Werwölfe vom Düsterwald Szene würde das ganze auch noch erweitern.

I really like the soundscapes and usability, but the subscription model is too expensive for me to use maybe twice a month when my party meets.

The app is awesome and I really like how it’s designed and the sounds are great. But apparently you have to hard close it to stop it to interfere with the iPhone sound and battery consumption. It decreased the volume on my AirPods (playing Spotify) when running in the background even if no sounds are played back from pocket bard. Also it drew about 50% of battery because it accidentally ran 20h in the background. It would be great to have a “stop” button somewhere so that you know if it’s active or not. Maybe this has something to do with the iPhones game mode but I don’t really get how this works and it doesn’t indicate that it’s in game mode anywhere.

All i just miss is for the Fantasy Part as medival Taverne music and background noises this would be Perfect . All in all super nice App for my DnD shots

Grundsätzlich ist PocketBard super. Besser als die Konkurrenten auf alle Fälle. Aber leider ist der Premium Teil ( also das was PocketBard eigentlich ausmacht ) nur im Abo zu haben. Kann und will ich mir nicht leisten. Hätte aber auch 15-20€ für ein pack ausgegeben. Schade. Chance vertan.

What a fun app, so easy to integrate into every setting and I love to use it. One thing that I’m missing tho is a tavern setting

Great ambiance, many options to customize and an almost undetectable fade when something is changed. I cannot wait to try this out with my group!

It’s awesome and I can’t wait to see the full potential of this app. I had some Buggs where all sounds where named "null" but restarting or re-download should help :)

Works perfect with Airplay Soundbar at our friends house. Currently I am mastering with my MacBook, but obviously this is a mobile app, so that works too!
Great songs and cool FX, just sometimes it is a bit finicky to get the oneshot sounds right in your scenes, but hey.
10/10!

That’s exactly what I’m looking for for my Hero Quest dungeon crawler saissons! A few more audio effects, a customable pad layout (don’t need person falling into water, more magical effects) would be nice, maybe customable playlists by connecting to Apple Music.

This is a great App for DMs who want to increase immersion! Already tested it out in a oneshot and my players seemed to love it!

As this is still in development, the catalogue is still a bit small, and I wish there was a possibility to preview the premium content before buying it, but I definitely will subscribe as soon as my next campaign starts! :)

I just started playing a new Pen & Paper Game with some friends and this app is the perfect companion for some awesome adventures in an epic fantasy world. The transitions between the more calm music to the highest intensity is just perfectly smooth!
I just want to say thanks the developers of this awesome app and I‘m looking forward to more new content like the Tavern-Pack :)

I know that main focus of the app is the adding of sound to tabletop games but it is awesome to just put on when you are drawing, working or thinking. Not to be fixed on songs and to be able to change the mood exactly as you wish is great. I‘m exited for the desktop version, will be great for minecraft too.
