Prevents screen from sleeping with no option to disable that. When iPad is set to ‘dark mode’ the options screen displays black text on dark grey background making it impossible to read without switching to light mode.. randomly loses magazine you are reading causing annoyance when reading through archived magazines as you have to go back and find the issue you were previously reading.
Ich benutze einen iPad 4 mit IOS 7 und über 8 GB freien Speicher. Habe 2 Zeitschriften über PocketmagsDigitalNewsstand gekauft und beide Magazininhalte sind im horizontalem Vollbildmodus unscharf. Die automatische Schärfung funktioniert erst, wenn man die Seiten etwas vergrößert oder den iPad vertikal stellt (Einzelseitenansicht). Im Vergleich dazu haben Zeitschriften, die ich über den Apple Zeitungskiosk erwerbe, dieses Problem nicht.
Purchased subscription via the App Store, got subscription confirmation from Apple, but no access to my media here.
I purchased a magazin inapp. It never showed up. Restore purchases function does not work.
I subscribed to a couple of magazines outside of this app and just use it to read them. It’s fine for that, but I wouldn’t recommend buying anything in the app.
Also, they implemented their own review pop-up so they can annoy you about it even if you’ve turned that off in your preferences. On top of that, if you put a negative review in that pop it doesn’t bring you here, it just goes away.
I’d be skeptical of any 5 star reviews here, they just be people who are sick of the „please review“ pop up.
The amount of numbers which were downloadable seems to be very limited

The iPad-app does everything it should, but shows an inacceptable tendency to crash when no online-connection is available. During offline mode one can swipe only thru the pages, not preview is available as soon as one touches onto the border-area of the page to activate it, the app crashes. It also doesn’t support a regular offline-mode, it always starts with the store page, that would require an online-connection instead of the “on Device” page of My Library, that offers access to all locally stored content. There also seems to be no time-out for trying to establish an online connection to the store, so people waste time and battery-power. The library also shows in offline situations no picture of the cover, only the name of the magazine. So in total, currently just an ‘okay’ rating, with potential to become ‘good’ as soon as these offline-stability issues are fixed.
