GPSmyCity Erfahrungen und Bewertung

Ich wollte eine App für Kyoto. Also habe ich die entsprechende runtergeladen. Die sagte aber ich müsste eine andere App kostenlos herunterladen um alles zu bekommen. diese App. Also habe ich auch das gemacht. GPSmyCity jedoch zeigt immer nur ein bisschen mehr Information an und wenn man mehr will muss man dann doch bezahlen. D.h. man die zwei Apps nur um dann für ein Upgrade zahlen zu müssen. Ein System das ich so nicht akzeptiere. Gelöscht.

Habe Peking runtergeladen, die Touren sind veraltet, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten nicht existent. Am ärgerlichsten ist jedoch das keine Adressen zu den Laufpunkten angegeben sind. Der Stadtplan ist in chinesischen Schriftzeichen, völlig unbrauchbar!

App shuts off when I try to open the downloaded city map (Hamburg)

This app did not work with iPhone 5s. It did not navigate to my downloaded pages. Tested in Porto, Lisabon and Faro. I will cancel my upgrade as soon as possible.

GPSmyCity ist nur eine Werbung für die Pro-Version und selbst völlig nutzlos, nicht mal die Karte so groß anzeigen lassen, dass man etwas erkennen kann, funktioniert. Leider erst unterwegs gemerkt (hatte mich auf die Offline-Wegbeschreibungen verlassen). Lieber die Webseite speichern als GPSmyCity laden.

Sounds great, but doesn't work anyway at iPod touch 2nd generation. Stürzt beim Laden immer ab.

Statt eine Route zum Testen anbieten - irgendwelche popeligen Funktionen erlaubt. In solchem Fall lösche ich einfach GPSmyCity. 2 Mal in eine andere Stadt fahren und GPSmyCity will ein Jahresabonnement abschließen.. naja dann viel Spaß.

I downloaded this app to go travel in Italy and ended up buying a map. It was way to complicated to follow the instruction. Additionally was the app hard to deal with as you needed to push many buttons to get to the route instructions.

Installiert ausschliesslich, um eine offline karte von Rom zu bekommen. Ich hoffte, die ca 35MB, die fuer Rom nachgeladen wurden, lohnten sich... Leider sind 4 klicks plus loading time noetig, um zur karte zu gelangen. Und das jedesmal, wenn GPSmyCity wieder aufgeschlagen wird. Unterwegs im stadtdjungel nervig und daher keine option fuer mich.

I actually have no problem with the curation of locations as well as information on them such as their history and other interesting facts. This would be available even in the free version. But, the GPS navigation feature was something that I felt would be useful, and this was only available in the paid version. I found the implementation of the navigation absolutely useless. It does not lock in on your orientation, so often times, you end up walking in one direction for about a hundred metres before the app tells you that you walked in the wrong direction. This kept happening repeatedly. So I had to keep jumping between google maps and this app. My advise, stick to the free version.

Nach dem Herunterladen sah das ja alles ganz gut aus, nur als ich dann die erste Walking Tour ansehen wollte, wurde ich genötigt, erstmal zu bezahlen, damit ich mehr sehen darf. Das könnte man alles etwas transparenter darstellen, damit man nicht erst seine Zeit damit verschwendet.

Really good with great walking tours though the user friendliness is soooo bad. Be prepared to click 20 times each time you go to your camera app or leave the app. Has this ever been tested with real customers ? Great content, very poor user experience

Super gute HQ offline Karten und gute Sights Übersicht

As a backpacker I used the orientation walks in many cities, Asia and Europe. They are the perfect introduction into big cities for me. Maps are sometimes not intuitive to handle.

Best travel app ever. I used it for over 100 cities and it let you see the best of each city if you plan it right. Great app - love it !!!!

This is a great travel app to use, especially if you’re travelling in a budget and want to get local insiders tips on places to go. You can use it offline (download the guides in advance) and then not have to worry about running low on data, as you go exploring. The articles are written by bloggers from all over the world, so you are getting genuine guides by people who have been there before. It also links with GPS. You have a map outlining the attractions and your live location, so you won’t get lost. There is a small cost associated with the app, but it is a small price to pay for convenience. Looking forward to downloading some more travel guides before my next vacation :)
