The most annoying thing is, I cannot download, search, nor sync my purchases across devices.

es ist eine Frechheit so eine schlechte SW rauszubringen. weder die IOS noch die Mac Version sind zu gebrauchen.

I am stuck with it because of the CFA books, it keeps crashing when I scroll and is extremely slow. Painful having to use this instead of the Acrobat reader.

How can a reading App - which for example functions as the gateway to the Schweser CFA study material - NOT support split screen multi tasking on the iPad Pro / Air2.

It's as if Vitalsource and too many others deliberately sabotages what otherwise could be a really really great productivity boost.

Now developers go and implement those size classes !

Often mistakes moving the page or swiping for marking text.
Online login is annoying (you can't access your books if you don't).
Read-out-loud-function is nice, however uncontrollable. It basically reads the entire page including titles footnotes, edition, etc.

This app is a pain.

- it reacts extremely slow. Sometimes it takes 1-2 seconds to open the next page.

- the tools - probably most important for most readers, particularly students - are ridiculous. Making highlights is really slow and sometimes doesn't work at all.

- textbooks are about 500mb each. I am currently studying towards the CFA exam, so the entire CFA curriculum takes about 3gb. PDFs of comparable size have about 30-40gb each.

I'd really like to mention something positive here, but for the last couple of months this app literally freaked me out at least twice a day.

This is one of the worst applications I have ever used. It is slow, it crashes, it makes it difficult to highlight and it doesn't even synchronize my books well enough among different devices.

I have wasted so much time trying to make the synchronization work... It is just frustrating.
I hope someone will have a better experience than mine.

The app is as I write, old fashion, unstable and slow and very user unfriendly in terms of operation.

I just use it since I have to because of the VMware training documentation and hate this app as it does not allow me to really take advantage of a digital document like Evernote or One Note would do. Taking notes and highlightning things is hard and has a very bad user experience.

I will ask from VMware to use an alternative app as this one is completely outdated.

Bookshelf reagiert leider viel zu langsam. Teilweise dauert es mehrere Sekunden um im Suchfeld überhaupt einen Buchstaben einzugeben. Bis die entsprechende Textstelle erscheint, können schon mal 20 Sekunden vergehen. Zum Arbeiten ist Bookshelf aufgrund der Verzögerungen leider völlig unbrauchbar. Hoffentlich werden diese Probleme mit dem nächsten Update behoben.

How this app can have anything but bad review is beyond me!

If your a ebook company considering to sell your books via this app. DONT!
The only reason people buy books from them or use their services is because we are being forced to.
It doesn’t work at all for the end consumer and leaves us frustrated and angry.
Their customer service don’t even know how to solve issues and I watched multiple YouTube tutorials to try and understand their software.

I just want a book to read.

Please let this company go bankrupt!

When I am comparing this app with kindle ,it’s crap.Frequently hanging and closing and the page sliding is to sluggish.

Videos don’t play (interrupt in the middle), take 5x longer to download than on a Mac, CPU spikes, Print-outs near to impossible. How can any do this to their customers.

Extremely slow, especially when it come to do some markings.

This app made me mad!
The book will disappears suddenly then I have to go online in the website an download it again!!!. And is even suggested to download the app to read the book offline!!!!

This app and its desktop app on mac wants to have access to confidential informations in your keychain. If you deny it it keeps on asking for access. I think the app in general has some serious security issues... Keep your distance!

Ich darf auf Bookshelf entweder von meinem iPhone oder iPad zugreifen?!!

Ich habe mehrere Titel in meinem Account, die Bookshelf aber nicht erkennen will. Somit völlig nutzlos.

Leider synchronisiert sich Bookshelf auf dem iPad nicht mit Bookshelf auf meinem Surface, somit muss ich alles 2x markieren. Sehr lästig. Ansonsten ist Bookshelf ok.

Unfortunately ist is Not possible to make notes! This would be a useful Tool.

Passt alles. Bis jetzt keinen besseren gefunden.
