too much of errors to continue to use.

I love the idea behind this app and tried it out as soon as i saw the add. However, I need to read through a bunch of texts in different languages for my studies (e.g. Japanese and German). As long as only English voices are available, a subscription is not worth my money. I’ll gladly come back once more languages are added!

There is no chance for me to change voice .

There are at least 2-3 times per paragraph where it smooshes words together incoherently (i can’t even READ THEM!) or just gets the word wrong entirely….. so disappointing

I like its simplicity, the view of the chapters, the view of the paragraphs, the quick way to take notes, and that it’s available for iPad (despite it just being "copied" from iOS).
Fixing the automatic scrolling bug, a dark mode, font size options, and availability on macOS would make it absolutely great.

Simple but powerful. Some minor improvements would be appreciated though.

If it works it works, but too often the app reads notes or footers or keywords which disrupts the flow in diese App to the reading. Most parts of a paper are read correctly, but still If there’s a mistake in the reading/ it’s reading something else than the actual paper it disrupts the flow of diese App. Also the language synthesis still doesn’t feel very natural. Might come back to this but in my eyes not worth paying for it yet.

I tested it with one nature paper. It read less than half of the abstract, but the entire DOI.
Also parts of the main text are left out.
Footnotes are read as “to the power of…”.
Nice idea but in the current form not usable. Would be happy to pay if it would work as promised, but they shot themselves in the foot by launching a beta version and requiring a paid subscription.

I am a vivid user of PDF documents and I have to read lot’s of paper, books/ ebooks, professionally and also privately(constant studies). I am not buying to many books as I tried to have them with me, so mostly hope to have pdf or such, to have it on the iPad, phone, Supernote. As I do have to drive and travel a lot, reading is not the most suitable way, hearing is the better option. And guess what, that’s probably my new solution. Let’s see…

I was very excited by the idea, but it doesn’t work well in practice. The AI voices don’t recognise most foreign words and characters in English texts (eg. she pronounced “¥” as “Y equals…” 😅), and the intonation is very artificial. I get that it’s an AI, but I had hoped for something better than my Mac’s text-to-speech. This would all be okay, but on top, the app makes it quite difficult to cancel a free trial (actually I’m pretty sure you can’t even do that on the app itself, you have to go to the app store), which is a bit shady.
In any case, this could be a fantastic tool in the future! As for now, I can’t recommend it.
