My only complaint is the layout for when the keyboard is launched it consumes nearly all of the app's real estate. Therefore I find myself having to minimize it often to read new messages as they came in while I am typing a response. Double tapping a name to launch a chat I find to be an easy step - despite what others have negatively commented on. (Expecting a single click should suffice)Pictures display fine. Message chime in. And you can respond directly from the iPad without having to pick up your phone. In short

Push Notification don't work
I'd love it if Push notifications worked. Instead you have to have the application open if you want to know if someone has sent you a message. There are now three versions of WhatsApp for Ipad and none of them have this feature though 2 of them， this being one， either claim or request permission to send push notifications. At this point I'd settle for even the little red number in the corner but even that doesn't work. On the plus side， you can multitask with split view on IOS 11， which you can't with the other versions thus far. So there is progress it seems

I was so excited when I finally found an app for the iPad. I had Jerry rigged one， and then it went away so I kept checking the App Store and finally...there you were! I don’t mind having my phone nearby so the iPad works and typing and reading is SO much easier for me in my iPad.
