I've had this app since the iPhone 5s was released around 2013; since then every phone I've owned has had it installed. The fact that I've never had a need for or desire to explore another scanning app is the greatest aspect about it. I primarily use the *free version for PDF scans [from 1page thru 17 pages before]. The MAGIC feature which automatically scans for... detects, crops, then enahances is great. Provided you heed the tips the app provides to achieve best results.

For the average college student, employee, grad student, etc... That only needs to scan something occasionally, wants it to be easy/quick/shareable and reliable... I'd definitely recommend this scanning app.

*Since I've never needed to utilize the functions of the paid version, I can't attest to those aspects of the app. But if your at the point of paying for a scanning app. You probably aren't reading this! ???*

There aren’t enough ways to express my appreciation for this app—seriously! This is the most useful tool in my arsenal and has saved me from having to run home or into my office or to find a public scanner or fax—gasp! Long gone are those old days of panic and “I’ll get it to you as soon as I can.” I don’t recall how I came upon this brilliant app but I have been enjoying it for years and I tell everyone about it, and you should do the same. So much so, that this is the first and only app review I’ve taken the time to write as yet. Bravo, developers! Please keep up the great work on this FREE app. And, again, THANK YOU!!!

Best app ever

My photos/scannable I do w Genius scan come out looking like o used a scanner rather then exactly like they would have if I were to take a picture of the paper myself! You don’t have to worry about getting the corners exactly asymmetrical bc the app allows you to adjust the sheet & somewhat of an angle! I love it, I am a multiple business owner and this is the only scan app I use! I also have used quite a few faxes set up through the internet & Believe this app suggested I try Genius fax.. I did, also very pleased! Cancelled all other online fax subscriptions & I’m strictly Geniusfied ??

I started using Genius Scan for work, but quickly realized it could be used to preserve my family history. When larger desktop scanners failed to produce the quality I needed to keep the handwriting, this app (the free version) worked magnificently. My wife scanned my grandmother’s scrapbook of my grandfather’s WWII photos and her handwritten captions. With a little help from photoshop, she was able to reprint the handwriting onto archival paper and place the pictures back with the captions. Without this app, my family would have surely lost the little we had left of my grandmother.

I use this app constantly for both work and personal projects, from scanning expense receipts to scanning family photos for a digital slideshow. I have even used it to scan some of my own pencil and ink sketches, which I then used in various digital art projects. I really value the ability to build a single document from multiple scans and then email the results to myself as a PDF or JPG. Great app. Would highly recommend!
