BBC Sounds Erfahrungen und Bewertung

Man benötigt einen Account, um Radiosendungen zu hören. Unter dem Vorwand, so „relevantere“ Inhalte präsentieren zu können, werden fleißig Daten gesammelt. IP (und damit ungefährer Aufenthaltsort!), Device ID, App ID, Vendor ID, Werbe ID.. Sagt mal, geht‘s noch? Dieser Trackingwahnsinn ist einfach nicht hinzunehmen!

I ever wanted to have this app for listening to your podcasts. My default podcatcher app simply can’t compete with this lovely app.

WTF? Why, oh why replace the functioning iPlayer with this piece of crap?
Do something.

BBC now requires a registration to measure and track your behavior.

The BBC-iPlayer was a perfectly good way to see and watch BBC stuff, whereas for BBC-Sound, I have only got one thing to say: Rename it “CRASH APP!”
Fixing things that ain’t broken and reinventing the wheel: the outrageous stuff the BBC does with our licence-money. BBC Sounds? More like a damp squib.

Big disappointment
From outside UKit is not possible to listen to all bbc shows, just selected ones.

Great for pop music. Bad for everything else.

I would love to use the app for bbc podcasts. However, many episodes (such as Rutherford and Fry) are blocked from streaming outside the UK. However, the same episodes are available in iTunes with no issue. Please improve accessibility and I will happily use the Sounds App.

BBC, where has the taste gone?

Much preferred bbc iplayer radio. This is too much backwards and forwards and unclear. Of course, the content is great and everything is on there - I just have difficulty finding it.

I had been using the ‚old’ BBC App for 2 years or so. The new app I do not like. Yes, it’s works, but the app before did it as well. The app feels overloaded by the design now. Why can’t I see which song is running at the moment or before?
Why can’t I go back or forth in a recorded show? Before it was possible. And now??? In a live show I can go back weather in the app or via browser.

some content is not available from here in Germany. It’s the WORLD WIDE Web for goodness sake!

Would be a great app, if some more of the podcasts were adapted for download. Let me download The Essay and I’ll reward you with a fifth star,

This is so well thought-out! Beeing able to jump back a few seconds (especially for me as a non-native) or even to the beginning of a program is so nice! How often did I wish for this feature!
The design is also very appealing and intuitive to use. This app is a joy to use, thank you!

Just found out that I can‘t restart programs, the app only rewinds a few seconds. Why?

Lovely, all of a sudden I have this whole range of interesting radio programs/podcasts to choose from! Radio reception of the BBC World Service having mysteriously weakened over the last few years in my area, this is really a very nice gift.

I’m very please to be able living in northern Germany to have the joy of all BBC Radio program.
