Generally it's a good quality app. Night-mode, adjustable fonts, and layout are excellent. But there are two senseless restrictions. Imagine–in the middle of an excellent article a line strikes and the moment you wanna copy/paste to a friend you realise it's impossible. Inexcusably the NYRB has no such option. And, good luck trying to use the app in landscape mood, because that's verboten too! There are infinite stars in the sky and will not hesitate to pluck bright five of them just for the NYRB, but first introduce copying and landscape mode.
Update:
With the new update (28 March, 2019), landscape mode and text selection are introduced, finally. Thank you. But the font is mediocre, too thin. This alone makes me see the app as dysfunctional. And, you can't click on photos, zoom in and out anymore. I'm not updating for now.
Possible solutions:
- if you like your current font, why don't you introduce other fonts for users to choose from? Kindle app, for instance, has this. Or at least reintroduce the last one you used. I got so much used to it and now it's gone just like that!
- Get back the zoom in/out option.
When will I be able to give you five scintillating stars? I'm sad.
