I just bought this app. Apparently it’s on sale which made my decision easier. In the app you have various options of customisation. In the app description there is no indication that there are in app purchases. One of the customisation options is to change the app icon. If you wish to do so you are asked to make a “donation”. If I just bought an app, why would I want to make a payment just for an app icon? Come on?! This is kinda ridiculous.

terrible UI (way should I start learning the meaning of the icons from the app)
just tested the app for about 20 min and I encountered about 10 bugs till now, most my favourite podcast are not even available.
By the meaning of the smart playlist I though that I can add my favourite podcast and the playlist will download automatically the latest episode of each podcast and on the last step I hoped that I could add that smart playlist to shortcuts and play it over homepod, but there is no trace of that l, well probably my expectations was to much for this tiny app.

Bei mir stürzt Agora2 regelmäßig ab. Auch eine Neuinstallation hat nicht geholfen. Zudem ist der Button „Einkäufe wiederherstellen“ funktionslos.
Auch der Import aus anderen Podcastplayern funktioniert nicht zuverlässig.
Insgesamt also für mich zur Zeit keine Alternative zu Castro oder Overcast

I was happy with this app, very neat interface but I added several episodes from different podcasts I follow to my playlist and they got all scrambled (wrong name and picture to what I'm actually listening to). It took me a while to choose all the episodes I wanted to listen next and now I'm left with no option but to reinstall the app and do it all over again :(

Sehr schönes UI und funktioniert bugfrei. Leider seit längerem kein Update. Derzeit keine Unterstützung von ProMotion. Wünsche mir ein Lebenszeichen vom Entwickler.

…no background downloading. You leave the player, no new downloaded episodes! When you switch listening from one episode to another, the new episode starts playing at exactly the same minute where you left the previous episode. Very annoying! It stalls lots when checking for new episodes. Unlike other players it doesn’t seem to check for new episodes on its own, rather I have to do it manually in the app every time. Not once did I get a notification for a new episode with Agora, with Apple podcast player I do all the time. Frequent crashes on my iPhone 8. Raise phone to listen is a silly idea and keeps you wondering why it always stops playback when you put the phone in your pocket until you figure out that there exists such an useless function. Seriously, who listens to a podcast holding the phone to his/her head? Other than that, a pretty looking app with cool navigation ideas.

Very Good work, but to choose a other App Icon you must pay 1,09€! I must say that’s bad because I already paid 2€ to install the App!
To put it in a nutshell very good Design and many podcast to choose from!

Diese Podcast App ist wundervoll designt und hat alle Funktionen die man dafür benötigt. Features sind z.B. Sleep Timer, Geschwindigkeit ändern und eine eigene Playlist erstellen. Das minimalistisch Design wird hauptsächlich mittels Gesten gesteuert und ist intuitiv aufgebaut.
Schlicht eine super App, die alles kann was man braucht und gut aussehen tut sie auch.👍🏻

Ich hab mittlerweile so ziemlich alle Podcastapps im Store ausprobiert und bin jetzt bei Agora hängengeblieben. Warum? Ganz einfach, weil sich hier jemand wirklich Gedanken ums Design gemacht hat. Man wird nicht überfrachtet mit Buttons und Funktionen. Stattdessen ist alles sehr klar strukturiert. Man muss sich einmal kurz durch die Icons arbeiten, dann allerdings kann man diesen Player nur lieben.
Einziger Kritikpunkt für mich: Wenn ein Podcast Kapitelmarken hat, lassen sich diese in Agora2 nicht nutzen. Aber vielleicht wird das ja noch nachgereicht.

I really like this app. It has a lot of really nice features and is very simple to use due to the well-thought design. The only things that’s missing would be that you can download the episodes and view the downloaded episodes. Furthermore that the downloaded ones don’t get deleted right away.
