The Athletic is here to stay. Clearly they are recruiting all the right people, putting out great basketball and football ⚽️ podcasts. Funnily enough I am not convinced yet why I have to pay for it other than to support the cause. The app is annoying, I prefer to listen to podcasts on apple or Spotify (even with more ads), I don’t read many of the stories..
The iPad app in Germany shows up in french and I can’t change the language. Seems like the app is due for a huge review soon.

I used the Athletic for a year. There is some really great content in the app. But I don’t think it’s compelling enough to pay for again. I’m happy with The Guardian etc.
