I did like the "old" GP app, and it worked absolutely fine. Then, they released a new one, this one.
First: Having to register for an account, ON TOP of my apple-account, IMO is unnecessary and overly complicated.
My old Ipad 2 had a problem and was replaced with another IPad 2. OS is totally up to date, and when I reinstalled this app, I had NOTHING but problems with it. Even though I am logged into my Apple-Account, I can not restore my purchases, so I can't suddenly access ANY of the mags I bought.
When I click on "catalogue" to check for older issues, the app crashes, closes down suddenly, every single time.
So I now have an app which won't let me access the mags I already bought with my subscription even though I am logged into the same account AND I can't even get into the catalogue as it keeps crashing every single time.
Update: instead of downloading the full magazine, like ALL the other magazine-apps I use do, this one downloads only bits, so you need a net connection to read. I was traveling on a plane, wanted to read the newest issue, which I thought I had downloaded the day before - turns out that only the first few pages were available, and I couldn't read the rest without a web connection. Highly annoying,and there should be an option to download the whole issue, as you don't always have a fast connection while traveling or commuting. :(
I am VERY disappointed, as I love the mag, and I don't understand why this app is so broken, when all other guitar mags I read have apps that a) work totally fine and b) are much easier to operate.
Please, whoever programmed this... fix it. An app that closes every time you try to get into the catalogue is totally not acceptable =/
