So bad

This is by far the worst app for listening to music that I have ever used. (And I have the paid subscription.) It takes a gazillion clicks to find my recent or commonly used playlists. I don’t get on YouTubeMusic to use mixes some rando made, I get on to listen to MY LISTS and to find new releases. Why do I have to click like five times to reach my playlists???? And even then it doesn’t show me the ones I’ve lost recently played, only the ones I’ve recently edited! The playlists are not sorted alphabetically. If I want to remove songs from a queue or move them to another playlist, it’s impossible to select more than one song at once—I HATE THIS ESPECIALLY. Such a basic and inexcusable oversight they’ve had months to fix. And if I’m already listening to a list I’ve downloaded and then I leave WiFi, it complains to me that it has no connection and needs to go to downloads, and makes me click through multiple times just to find again and shuffle the list I’m already listening to. Just awful. Also google play used to show me how many times I’ve listened to each song, and that’s what I looked at to find my favorite songs of the year. I don’t want a 2020 list they make for me, I want to make my own list! Why can’t they provide this basic thing that was already offered on google play? The web app is equally frustrating. I can’t believe we actually pay them to provide this abysmal level of service.

Almost

When I first got YouTubeMusic years ago it was great. YouTubeMusic is still working wonderfully when it comes to finding songs, getting recommendations, and adding music to a playlist. And I really like the inclusion of accessing community playlists. What irks me is that I’m having issues editing my playlist off YouTubeMusic . I’ll spend time, kill a GOOD bit of time, editing a playlist and it won’t save! I’ll hit the editing pencil icon, move songs around, hit done, then I refresh the playlist to find that it’s still the same. It’s really really frustrating! And I can’t get continuous play off my downloaded playlists often. It will stop play early in the playlist, or glitch out altogether and stop at one song. When it stops at one song it will usually say, “unable to find playlist.” Really tired of this as well. These really shouldn’t be issues. It’s kind of the core of YouTubeMusic to have these functions. It’s like having a movie service subscription, but you only get to watch on odd numbered days. What’s the point?! Really shouldn’t have to point out that the focus on the developers should be to make sure the core services that YouTubeMusic provides are working as they should. Let’s make sure YouTubeMusic does what it’s advertised to do before we get ambitious.

Basic features are a failure

I truly don't understand how YouTubeMusic is rated so well. It fails in the most basic of ways, making using it a continually frustrating experience. When viewing Library by Artist, instead of showing the Albums by that artist like every music app ever, including Google Play Music, it just lists all the songs by that artist. "YT Music" and "Uploads" are separated when. Looking at your library, so you have to look in two different places to see all the content from a single artist. Loop preference does not persist between queues, so when you start a new album or playlist, if you want it to loop, you have to select that EACH TIME. You can view Downloads just fine if you have service, but if you're in a low service area, YouTubeMusic will just sit at a loading screen forever, blocking access to everything, unless you turn on airplane mode. It's a mess. The only marginal improvement on Google Play Music has been consistent album art when in offline mode (it'd just disappear in GPM for some reason). YouTubeMusic needs SO MUCH WORK and seems to have been designed by a team that has never worked on this type of app before, or simply doesn't get UX at all. Being forced to replace GPM with this is incredibly frustrating.

Good Google Play music transfer, other things to improve

I’m super happy they finally allowed the transfer of our Google Play music playlists, but using this as my main music app is going to need a few improvements if I’m being honest. First, YouTubeMusic can be glitchy when loading info the current song playing, and sometimes I have to close YouTubeMusic fully to get it to work. Secondly, if you are going to have a feature of having lyrics built into YouTubeMusic , please update it to where you know any song made within the last 30-40 years at the minimum will load no matter the genre or artist, no matter how popular or not the song is (in it’s current state it feels like a beta rather than a fully released music app.) I enjoy it overall but am looking forward to improvements moving forward.

You can listen to music with this

Yes it is true, you can use YouTubeMusic to listen to music, shocking. However if you move your phone while in YouTubeMusic , cause you have to be in app to hear the music unless you pay, the music tends to minimize and you can accidentally tap on and start playing a different song. Also the quick picks feature is neat, though it will recommend some music that I haven’t listened to in 5 months and at that I barely listened to at all, I was listening the the cure, tilted my phone and accidentally started playing lemon demon, and there isn’t a way that I know of to hop back into what you were listening to, idk make the back button for songs at the start of a queue be able to take you back to your last queue, problem solved. Also allow the option to turn off tilt controls, I cannot think of a place or time when I would be glad that they are there, cause I could just drag my finger down the screen. Plus some artists either have their discography hidden (Bob Dylan for example) or just not there (see Jimi Hendrix), why is that

Neat app, but a few improvements could be useful.

I give this four stars because it’s an amazing app, and I’ve been using it on my Lenovo / Google Home smart clock to fall asleep. As well as I like it, there are a few things that I would like to be added. For one, when I ask it to play a certain person or music company that I like, for example Waterflame, or Danimal Cannon, I want it to just play those songs. I’m tired of skipping songs to the point where I can’t even skip anything without a membership. Second of all, stop flooding your ads with membership advertisements! It’s annoying to me because imagine hearing after every single song: “Buy our membership!” And I would also like the option to not play certain songs, because after a while it plays lo-fi music or old school hip-hop, but I don’t want that to happen. Again, this is a great app, but these things are something that could be considered in the future. I look forward to using this more.

GLITCHY and CONFUSING as heck

I wouldn't be very upset about how they are getting rid of Google Play Music if YouTubeMusic wasn't so crappy of a replacement. It is super glitchy, freezes way too often, doesn't let me download many things that were downloadable on Google Play Music, and it still hasn't downloaded the playlists that for which I initiated the downloads weeks ago...I mean come on! Google certainly has the resources to make YouTubeMusic so much better, so since it is hopeless that they will change their minds on getting rid of Google Play Music (which I heavily endorsed for the years that I used it and spent hours upon hours building up my library etc, and have been the DJ at work and many gatherings personal and professional), PLEASE GET YouTubeMusic FULLY FUNCTIONAL related to my complaints above!!!!!!! UPDATE AFTER USING THIS CRAPP FOR OVER A YEAR: I think this (crapp) app has gotten worse somehow 😢😪😫 It has frozen a dozen times after playing DOWNLOADED songs during my cries country trip today. And it takes about a minute to get its bearings to even begin paying anything for EVEN THOUGH IT’S DOWNLOADED let alone the fact that I’ve got FULL 5G SERVICE 🤮

Great app, big flaws

This is my all time favorite music app, and I wish I could give it 5 stars.. but there’s a couple things that are preventing that at the current moment.

Firstly, it’s 2021 and there’s still no lyrics tab? I understand that it’s not always possible to be accurate 100% of the time, or maybe it’s a file size issue, but Apple Music does it and it works just fine. It’s extremely annoying to constantly switch apps to my browser, so I can read the lyrics, and I had to pay to even be able to do that in the first place.

Secondly, and this is BY FAR my biggest pet peeve ever. When I go out of my way to rearrange my playlist to perfectly fit my mood at the time and I accidentally click on a song to start a station instead of adding it to the queue. Maybe add a warning, like “hey you’re about to lose that whole playlist arrangement you spent an hour on, are you sure you want to continue?” (Yet, another thing Apple Music does) I never thought Apple would be better at listening to their customers than google but here we are.

Missing Google play music

In all honesty I switched over to YouTubeMusic with a really open mind because I figured it would work about the same as Google play music. But I've been disappointed in certain functions. I mostly listen to my music while I'm driving so the download-only feature is really important. On Google, you could toggle your downloads on and off and then sort by artist if you wanted. I've noticed on YouTubeMusic that if you want to listen to downloads you can either choose one individual album or you can shuffle all of your songs. This is frustrating to me.
The other thing I'm not thrilled about is the really bad lag when I skip a song or two. And this is still if I'm only listening to my downloaded music so there is no reason for YouTubeMusic to act like it's buffering or whatever the problem is here??
I really wanted to like YouTubeMusic. I did. But it's got some pretty major issues and they had a long time to sort this out before making everyone switch over.

This app is below average

Using YouTubeMusic since it’s replacing google play. I don’t like that it takes forever to connect to my Bluetooth it seems to always have a lag and the music buffers in the beginning too. I never experienced this with google play. Maybe the music videos are still loading in the background even though it’s on “music only” mode. I also really dislike that my music never picks up where it left off when I’m done. I have to manually go and search for my song every time I restart my car or anytime I come back to YouTubeMusic really. I’ve tried not closing YouTubeMusic on my home screen but it didn’t make a difference. Sometimes my playlists can get long and searching for a song toward the middle is annoying. I do like that I can find any song that’s on YT on here though, sometimes google play would not offer songs YT music has offered. YouTubeMusic is constantly crashing for me after a year of using it now and I am not impressed by any of their updates so far

Very glitchy

Endlessly stuck downloading one of my playlists at 99%. Most of it is already downloaded. Actually sometimes it takes a while to update the playlist and download newer songs. Can’t remove songs from collaborative playlists if not owner. Also it doesn’t always display the right song playing. For example. It’s playing thriller by Michael Jackson but in the notifications it says some other song. Also while connected to my cars aux it always repeats songs at least once. Can’t turn it off even if the setting is off. It’s not always compatible with the Ford Focus software. Also I should mention that I’m on free trial. So basically premium. But it’s not worth real money. Also you can’t search songs in downloaded. For example I downloaded 2000 songs and I want to find music by Yung Gravy, I can’t search for it. Also sometimes the “play next” list is glitched and doesn’t show. Also I made a Siri shortcut where it plays a playlist but it’s the same order everytime. There’s no option to shuffle

Poor substitute

The company offered free music storage to its users, in exchange users agreed to allow Google to use the music they uploaded to build their music library. Google took note of similar artists a user might listen to and built their recommendation engine off of that data. They acquired competitors solely to put them out of business and eliminate the competition. They stifled innovation at every turn, and users kept quiet because they still felt the relationship was mutually beneficial. But as soon as Google had milked as much date from the users libraries as they could, they eliminated the service, and in its place coughed up this garbage that in no way is an equal substitute for what they killed.

Now if you want to listen to your music that you spent years cultivating and curating, you either need to pay up $150 a year, or listen to an advertisement after every single song, with no ability to cache music for offline play.

Are you an advertising business ? A music streaming company? A phone manufacturer? You can’t be all of the above and still prioritize the best interest of the customer.

Google needs to do some work if so many people are paying for this app

The only thing good about YouTubeMusic now is that you’re able to download your songs. I work in areas with little to no reception a lot of times and having downloaded music really makes the difference. YouTubeMusic has a lot of issues though. My main complaint and most annoying thing is when you search for an artist or song it will start playing songs normally, but comes 4 or 5 songs in it just plays the same song over and over and over or just goes into a loop of the same songs, does not matter if it’s a playlist or an album or just a random search. It will display different song names and album arts on songs that have nothing to do with what you are listening to. No matter what type of music you select it will automatically choose the same artists and songs for every search every time and it drives me crazy. I feel YouTubeMusic just is not worth the subscription price. 3.99 is top price for what it’s worth.

The new update created a new bug

So, supposedly instead of fixing the “only one song in a DOWNLOADED playlist when not using YouTubeMusic while before driving “ it now crashes in the middle of the first song just when the car is barely moving to a certain speed. It doesn’t do that if your listening to music while working or just chilling, only on a moving car. Also the random button doesn’t really randomize the music in the playlist. I noticed this whenever it lands on certain songs and it starts playing on a particular order. I missed how you can just press the randomizer button to get random songs. Now it only randomizes every other press, losing the point of the button. And when you have the randomize button on and you do something else for a bit before coming back to YouTubeMusic , it’ll unrandomize itself, losing whatever particular order it had when it was randomize. Please go back to the previous patch til you fix this! I don’t like listening to the radio while driving.

One “tiny” complaint

Ok, so YouTubeMusic is great if you just wanna listen to music, which I like to do. So I opened YouTubeMusic , and it asked my if I wanted to start my free trial. I said no, because I wanted to save it. Then I exited YouTubeMusic because I didn’t want to use it yet. So that happened yesterday, and when I went on YouTubeMusic today, it said my free trial was ending soon. I checked if I had Premium, and apparently I did. Why did it give me Premium? I didn’t want to use the free trial yet. When I had YT Music on my old iPad, it let me choose when I wanted to use the free trail. And the “Try Premium today” thing doesn’t have a exit button. The only thing you can do is press the button, or exit YouTubeMusic . Apparently both result in YT Premium now, so either it’s a glitch, or on purpose. Anyway, beside this wall of one complaint, YouTubeMusic is pretty good. I like how you can shuffle the playlist and it recommends you more songs. Well, have a good day.

You Tube music & Music videos

I use this nearly everyday. I was a teenager in 1970, the greatest era music will ever know, I can find all of that energizing music here, on YouTubeMusic. It is rare when there is a signal problem, it does happen but If I put a number on it and the reason Is usually loss of Wi-Fi and I’m usually in the same location when it happens to me. Occasionally maybe twice a week it may stop and it just takes a touch of my phone to restart it all in all its a non issue, if you receive a call it will stop and as soon as the call is over it picks back up where it stopped. I personally love it can’t stump it(I can find about any song I’ve ever looked for. Concert footage fantastic takes me back to my happy place. I could go on but I need to hear some great rock and roll now!

Good app. One Dealbreaker Flaw

YouTubeMusic is pretty cool. It has a ton of music, videos, playlist, etc. I was even impressed at the fact that if you play an album such as Pink Floyd for example there is no to second pause between the songs. Everything flows from one to the next as it should.

What drives me absolutely crazy about YouTubeMusic however is that on any artist, playlist, or song that you start with clicking shuffle is not really shuffling in random order.I put on a huge playlist for workouts and click shuffle, however I quickly realized that it shuffles in the same preset orderEvery time. If I click shuffle 20 times today and two days from now click shuffle 20 times again on the same playlist it will be the same exact first song, second song, third song etc.

My understanding is that this has been a complaint for years and has not been fixed. It’s enough for me to quit premium service.

Great app but needs improvement

I love YouTubeMusic. I have a premium membership I’ve been paying for one for a long time. I love the platform so I don’t mind paying a couple extra bucks a month to use the premium benefits of YouTubeMusic. There are a few issues though. If I run out of premium you guys absolutely flood me with ads way more then you need to which aggravates me a little bit and also ever since this new update YouTubeMusic has been crashing left and right and I’ll be listening to a playlist and you won’t be able to view half the songs in the playlist. Before the update YouTubeMusic was fine but after it kinda got messed up. All YouTubeMusic needs is a few bugs repaired and then it will be fine otherwise I love YouTubeMusic. Also it would be smart for you guys to keep political ads off of your website too because I know that people don’t want to see that regardless of where they stand on the political spectrum.

Forget previous review...I love this app

Update: I figured I’d leave the prior review there to show how stupid I am... just don’t touch the screen so hard and those songs will move all over the place with incredible ease. I figured it out by accident.... moron moment over... love YouTubeMusic now more than ever... love love love

Look, I love this service because it has literally every song/cover/live version etc. of everything.... however, I spend all day making these playlists that I cannot rearrange!!!!!
I click edit, the equal sign (I don’t know what else to call it) appears on the left and I have to touch that thing like 87 times before I can get it just right so the stupid menu doesn’t come up instead. I HATE IT. It is literally so frustrating it makes me not even want to use YouTubeMusic .
I’ve had to resort to deleting things that I want to be at the end of the playlist and then adding them again just to get them to where I want.
Please please please fix this or make it easier or bigger or something. It’s literally a crapshoot on whether I can touch it just right so I can pull it up or down in the playlist.
I can’t be the only one this annoys. That would shock me to the core....

App is good, but far from perfect

At times when you start YouTubeMusic or an individual song in a playlist, it will either A) load an incomplete version of your playlist or B) load the audio from one song and display the cover art and name of another.
If a playlist long enough and you choose a song far back enough in said playlist, YouTubeMusic just won’t bother to load the entire playlist into your queue. You can get around this by initially selecting a song further into the playlist and then going back in you queue.
Sometimes you’ll see the name and cover art of the song you intended to listen to, but hear the actual audio from a completely different song. Once again, this can be fixed by going to a different part of the queue and going back to the song you originally meant to listen to.

Wayyyy too many repeats

When i first downloaded YouTubeMusic, i was getting ready to get rid of every other music app and subscription i have. Thankfully i didnt though. This is because the first day or two of having YouTubeMusic its completely amazing because of how much music you discover in so little time. Then came day three where YouTubeMusic started repeating things i thumbed up on the “my mixtape” selection. It only got worse from there. It’s almost been a week since ive gotten YouTubeMusic and now EVERY. SINGLE. SONG. is a repeat. This gets extremely frustrating, because i expect the “my mixtape” selection to help you discover new songs of the same type of music you like and have thumbed up. Now every single time i use YouTubeMusic all i do is skip through music and before i know it, i arrive at my destination, or i finish what i’m doing at the moment. The ONLY reason i gave YouTubeMusic 3 starts and not zero, is because this is the only app of its kind and there’s nothing really to compare it to. I am actually thinking of cancelling my membership and using some other music app that causes less frustration and stress in my life. IF YOU INTEND TO DISCOVER NEW MUSIC WITH YouTubeMusic DO NOT INSTALL YouTubeMusic, JUST KEEP SCROLLING DOWN.

change it back!

Been LOVING YouTubeMusic for a long time until the latest update. i don't understand the logic of the new format at all! Before you could see dozens of songs on the home screen, lots of categories to explore-- artists, genres, recently played, etc., four or more playlists in each section and you could clearly see which song it was going to start on. Now there are weird new categories that don't show actual songs in the thumbnails, and the thumbnails are so huge you can only see two items in each category without scrolling sideways and and you can only see two categories at a time without scrolling down. it's so clunky and clogged up it's impossible to just glance through and find a song that looks good. it has become a far less enjoyable experience, basically if you want to listen to a specific song now you can forget about easily finding it on your home screen. you're just going to have to search it which kind of defeats the whole point in my opinion. and looking for new stuff has just become a crap shoot. if you're thinking about getting YouTubeMusic i'd wait a while for the next update, cause right now it kind of blows.

Why is the algorithm so dumb?

So I listen to a LOT of music, and I even posted some soundtracks for games, so I get on one day and a song, for example prodigy - omen just says unavailable, even tho the video is still up and says music in the category? And I tried a little experiment, I posted one video of music one one channel and another on another channel(same song, same category, etc.) and one song was fully playable and the other just said unavailable. Not to mention sometimes both song go available and then back to 1, and so it goes with other songs, sometimes the become available and sometimes not. Then I find there’s actual videos(5-10 minutes of gameplay) and yet I listen to music on regular YouTube(the video in the category of music) and it says unavailable. For example:Kevin MacLeod -spellbound(actual music) The algorithm is so bad I’m thinking of canceling and just manually downloading all couple thousand songs.....not worth any money if you don’t want to deal with music inconsistency(also I have done everything I can to fix it, delete and download the apps and the music change some settings etc. nothing worked so I’m not sure where to go, maybe just say goodbye in the near future)

Good! Suggestion (Please)

I love YouTubeMusic and I don't know if there's a way to change this certain thing and I haven't noticed because I overlooked it, but I have one suggestion

When I add a song to a playlist it doesn't add it to the top but adds it to the bottom and I was wondering if you could change that so I don't have to scroll all the way down to see if I actually added the song? Maybe you could make it so that there's more options on editing a playlist instead of just being able to move the songs around and deleting them because it's such a bore when I have to do it again and again. It helps when I see the new song I put on the playlist is on the 'cover' for it to know I actually put it in the right one.

All in all I do love YouTubeMusic , that's my only request. Keep doing what you do (which is great stuff) and thanks for reading my suggestion, have a nice day •-•

Content winner, though lacking some polish and features

Hands down, the most music of any service. If it's a song that was recorded by humans it's probably in here. And will at some point come across your station. End of the day that's what matters most to me for a music service. Exposure to content. That said, YouTubeMusic is missing a few minor convenience features present in other similar services. My biggest peeve, no Windows PC music only mode. I listen to music a lot at work and would prefer not to eat bandwidth for videos I'm not watching. While in power YouTubeMusic has no option to keep the screen on meaning I have to unlock my phone to thumb a song down while driving. And the most minor, no way to thumb down a song that's not currently playing, gotta stop playing the current track, start playing the other one, then thumb it down. Also, why no access to comments?

By

Love it!!!

I really love YouTubeMusic because I can lock my phone n the music keeps playing. I also love the fact it adapts to me but I do wish it wouldn’t try to slip crap songs in on me that I don’t care for. I’m particular about my music but I love music nonetheless. The price is a little much for my liking because I am on a budget but you take the good with the bad. If I haven’t given it the thumbs up, don’t play it. 9 times outta 10 they miss with the song they suggest. I would give it 5 stars and not complain about the price if it was not for this hiccup in their design. Id really like to only pay 10 bucks a month for YouTubeMusic, but thems the breaks. All in all it’s a good app. Fine tune it, n I’ll praise YouTubeMusic from the rooftops. I already suggest it to all my friends but id go viral if they either A-come down on the price, of B- not try to slip me the BS songs. Other than that, good show ladies n gents. Thank you

Why Did You Remove The Feature That Allowed Us To Find Remixes From The “More” Button?

(Updated On Exp) Starting to love this new look actually. I can see the songs I enjoy replaying come up well at the top section. What was great before was tapping a track that I’ll enjoy, and wondering - what would some remixes/covered/related tracks sound like. The older “more” button or what the current “i”/“Information” button had previously done this. It was awesome! I was hooked. I could find so many great songs from other artists/DJs and so on by finding a great hit, then tapping those buttons. Now those features aren’t to be found.

I don’t feel confident paying because I can get the same great hits/music from streaming services that I’ve never tried before. I was a student for all the time I’ve used it (1.5 years) as well - so I really do love YouTubeMusic !

It’s harsh pressing the info button and seeing nothing.

Can't customize anything

Alot of the recommended stations are just some main stream popular artist I never listen too. Let me add my own playlist or artist to my main menue play lists. Let me add or move wdgests around. And for crying out loud all the playlist have the same songs... Like if I click on a dubstep song or something why put something non related to dubstep there? Same with Nightcore or electro music.. let me make my experience with YouTubeMusic better by allowing me to change and move things around. I don't even scroll down because it's all garbage that I'll never click on. It's so sad that YouTubeMusic just get worse and worse. Now you added that song video thing when the old one worked perfectly fine. Now It randomly switches to video even if I selected song. I had a grate experience with YouTubeMusic for like 3 years but it's just getting worse and worse over that time

SO AGGRAVATING!!

I downloaded YouTubeMusic and it very graciously gave me 2 weeks premium for free. I could download music and listen to it offline and it was add free. I was building up my playlist and towards the end of the 2 weeks I had about 50 songs downloaded and in my playlist. The end of the two weeks finally came and premium was gone. Here comes the problem. All my downloads were gone, you can only access them if u have premium. I was alright with that because I still had my playlist and could always use data. I go into my playlist and shuffle, the first song had an add. It was expected, but as I continued on I found that there is an add at the beginning AND end of EVERY song. There is an option to skip after 5 seconds but I don’t want to be pulling my phone out every few minutes to skip an add. THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN ENJOY THIS WITHOUT HAVING TO BUY PREMIUM. Thank you for reading my rant on why you shouldn’t download YouTubeMusic. Have a great day!

Great Concept - Terrible Execution

I honestly had high hopes for YouTubeMusic, but in the end it was just a major let down. The music selection is great, but everything else about YouTubeMusic is there to make sure you can never actually listen to the music. Most songs will stop after 10-30 seconds and restarting YouTubeMusic won’t fix this problem. It will happen often, randomly, and unpredictably. Also, one you pause a song and leave YouTubeMusic it loses it’s memory. So let’s say your on a road trip and stopped to get gas, when you get back in the car you essentially have to restart the entire playlist you were just on. Individually these problems aren’t terrible, but combined it is the absolute worst. Which is really upsetting considering the content on here is actually amazing. Overall, only use YouTubeMusic if you’re at home and don’t mind consistently trouble shooting. Not an app for on the go people with busy lives.

Saved items keep don’t update automatically

Please, if I have a playlist synced in “saved items” it supposed to update (download automatically) all the new tunes which I put on the same name “online” playlist, but it never uptade itself, the only way is deleting the playlist (in saved offline) and download all the way AGAIN to get sometimes just 3 new tunes I must to download like 3 hundreds tunes in order to keeps up-to-date my offline same name synced playlist. I’m thinking to cancel my subscription only because this, it already bugging me a lot. Second thing the music VIDEOS in a playlist synced to play offline some of them just play the music sound, if I created a Music VIDEOS playlist it’s supposed to play ONLY VIDEOS in all of musics which i put on it, not just a few aleatory (p.s: off course I added the video option when I did the prior search). TKS

Dude Waht

I really enjoyed YouTubeMusic. . . Up until recently.

See, with the past few updates, it getting harder and harder to find the music I like.

It recommends different versions of a song I like, but I don’t want different versions, I just want to listen to the song the way I like it. Be it faster tempo or otherwise.

Also, first page I see when I enter YouTubeMusic now offers less of the things I’m interested in.

While my favorite songs are cramped in a corner all together, a bunch of things I don’t care about take up the entire screen.

I don’t want to listen to ‘New Releases’ or ‘Hottest Country Albums’ because that’s NOT WHAT I LIKE.

The music I want is shoved in a corner under ‘your favorites’.

SURE, those are TOTALLY my favorites and not just DIFFERENT THINGS ENTIRELY.

I don’t even know what half of the stuff recommended to me are!

I had high hopes for these few big updates, but all I see is failure to pander towards the audience.

Please, staff. I know there is a low chance of someone reading this, especially since it’s a negative review.

Please give me back YouTubeMusic that I loved! Instead of just calling random music you’ve thrown at me ‘personalized’, just go back to the way you were.

This isn’t difficult. All you have to do is take away the new bad stuff, and replace it with the old good stuff.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

An unhappy customer

The revamp changes everything.

This is a great app, has the absolute biggest library(YouTube), option for video and all of this is just the early access version! Very excited to see what the future updates bring with them. Few complaints are: Remove the swipe to delete from playlists, or make it harder to trigger, like requiring a double swipe. This was an issue in GPM, still an issue here. Also add shuffle and repeat buttons on the play screen and the ability to add whole albums to playlists. Other than that, keep up the good work and keep expanding the official library, as it’s missing big albums like Stoney by post Malone and 4 your eyes only by J Cole and so on.

Giving it four stars will change if app changes this.

I want YouTubeMusic to change the premium version I want YouTubeMusic to where I’m able to play it off YouTubeMusic it’s frustrating cause I wanna do other things and if I turn my phone off then woop the music turns off I don’t like it at all and u ask for a lot of money when using the premium since that I never bought it

It would be fine if u could let us listen off YouTubeMusic that way we could do other things on our phones it’s fine if u add ads skip turns or something but u need to a least let us listen off YouTubeMusic that’s all and I will change this rating to a five star when that is fixed anyway

I hope u get this and change it have a nice day...

Good app but bugs with last updates

Hands down, YouTubeMusic has the most music. Nice to be able to listen to lesser known artists, covers, live performances, etc. Editing and sharing playlists on YouTubeMusic is really easy. One peeve of mine is that it has an option to download songs, but if you are out and have no cell service - you can’t open “library” to access “downloads” without needing internet - they should have an icon for “downloads” separate from “library” that opens right away without internet. Since the last update - it’s hit/miss with YouTubeMusic staying on. Before, you could lock your phone and the music would still play. Now it feels like you have to remember to trigger/wake YouTubeMusic to keep it on.

You Tube Music App was just what needed. Download library of music or artists and actually listen to offline. Paid for premium and was actually happy with the price selection, and generally pleased. Then found out my library expired. Alll the downloads were gone. Now this suprised me because the subscription was still being paid. WOW. Still paying for the service, and everything gone. Not pleaser and have canceled.

App continues to crash... I've done EVERYTHING from clearing the cache to reinstalling several times now on two different phones... I think it may be time to cancel my premium subscription and go elsewhere, the app is unstable and buggy
