Their payroll was what kept us using Xero, it was really awesome. Now that Xero has shutdown payroll, quickbooks may just be where we need to go. I totally lost confidence on the company at the moment our payroll was pushed aside somewhere else. Besides rearranging top menu UI on the desktop, no new things being developed or meaningful improvements in years, same old, same old. Users feature request have been seating for years. XeroAccounting particularly hasn’t seen any breakthrough update since it was launched.

Please create another way besides your videos in order to help your customers. There are errors in every program so having an option for customer service makes for long time clients. I have been looking elsewhere and I don’t want to. I wanted to believe in your company because you presented yourself as unique and I liked that. But if there isn’t true customers service then you are unique.

As a Xero Advisor, I’ve found XeroAccounting quite helpful. It’s handy to be able to sit in a waiting room and still reconcile clients accounts. It’s also very helpful to be able to generate invoices and access important files on my phone. XeroAccounting does occasionally stumble. As a Xero Advisor, my clients contact me with questions and I’ve never had to contact support about XeroAccounting .

The application features only minimal functionality, and worst yet, they don’t even support file upload for receipts. The only thing you can do is access your camera roll and they block being able to access your files, which is completely unnecessary. They have no support for iOS 11, except that XeroAccounting will load. Other than that, Xero themselves have said on their web site that they have no plans to support iOS 11 features.

It seriously takes them at least 1 or 2 days. I’m trying to connect my union bank feed and it won’t work. I ask support and I get a template response. Each response takes 1 day to respond. So I’m like 5 days into it and I’m still with a rep giving me a template response like “make sure you turn on your power to your computer” type of advice. So horrible!!! Stay away.

The inability to refresh account feeds makes this application useless for anything other than showing off the fact that it could be so much more if only this one function wasn’t overlooked. You will find yourself looking at stale data most of the time with no recourse other than to load the web version on your desktop.

I’ve messaged support about my pay roll issue and they’re referencing their help page. I followed the page, enrolled my employees and I can’t get them to show up in the pay run. My employees pay is now a week late because I can’t get the right answers to fix this issue. I’m canceling my subscription. It’s worthless if I can’t pay my people.

AMEX sync/feed has been broken for months. Support knows of the issue which affects all customers and have not been able to fix it. They suggested I upload a CSV to manually input the transactions. Please think twice about using XERO before you have your entire company using it. We will now be moving to Quickbooks.

3 years I’ve used this. Still can’t copy and paste information without going into edit mode, sales tax is still broken, and sending a receipt, when marking payments made , for example when you are using XeroAccounting , cannot be done.

As an accounting system, our team likes using xero after recently replacing Quickbooks. XeroAccounting however is pretty minimal in its functionality. I have all the apps for whatever tools we use, except for this one. Dear developers, please create an app that we can use to actually get stuff done.

XeroAccounting never notifies me of new transactions despite reinstalling and ensuring notifications are fully enabled in phone settings. But the real problem is support are beyond useless and after going in circles with them for weeks I just gave up trying to help you with feedback. Leaving a review instead.

Requires a month cancellation notice which I found to be a little excessive. It’s like they know people will be cancelling soon after subscribing so they take as much as they can. Make an easier product and I wouldn’t jump ship. Look elsewhere for small business accounting software.

Why can’t I run reports in XeroAccounting ? Let me run a cash flow, income statement and balance sheet from XeroAccounting ! I don’t need every single report but as a business owner I’d like to be able to pull up my financials at least.

I’m a CPA with 20 years experience and specialize in financial systems applications. Xero is fantastic and XeroAccounting does what it is supposed to do and it does it very well. With my clients and myself, I use XeroAccounting to enter receipts, reconcile Bank and credit card accounts automatically fed from the bank, and issue invoices to clients. I also use it to upload files to my Xero file storage. I don’t use XeroAccounting for financial reports, adjustments, or other things it does not allow (of course) but I do everything else in Xero cloud/browser. Xero is very intentional in its design. Learn it and you’ll love it.

Sometimes when I open XeroAccounting it freezes, I have to turn off screen with side button, then dbl click and close out XeroAccounting then open it again. Luckily, every time I have to do this it only happens once and not repeatedly. Other than that, it's so much easier to reconcile from app than computer. Seems to remember my rules fine(saw that someone had a problem with that) although some rules don't work on either interface, guess I gotta work on those. It's kinda tricky setting them up, kinda feel like I have to be programmer or something. Making bank rules easier would be my current suggestion with the overall service but we are talking apps here so..... Keep up the good work!

Xero announced that it is removing the core feature of being able to reimburse yourself or your employees for business expenses unless you pay and extra $5 PER PERSON per month. The $30/month subscription is quickly dwarfed by this cost if you have even a small number of employees.
