As a frequent traveler I really appreciate a restaurant locator app that is simple & easy to use, accurate & up to date. Zomato WAS the best app ever for finding restaurants but ever since being bought out by this app it’s now almost completely worthless, hence the cumulative 1.5 star rating from everyone. Why would you buy a successful company to just destroy it? I would gladly pay for a good app but until it’s proven by a free edition trial I’m not wasting my time or money & you shouldn’t either. Until they realize this & dump this app all together & go back to the original Zomato format stay away, far, far away...

I loved the original urban spoon app. It worked well for finding restaurants near me when traveling. However each version of Zomato has gotten worse where it is extremely difficult to locate nearby food venues of specific types and with reliable reviews. The purchase of urban spoon by Zomato ruined a very user friendly useful app. It’s no longer worth having on my phone. I empathize number of good years with urban spoon and will really miss it.

I'm all about change... as long as it is for the better. I LOVED this app, especially while traveling on business! Zomato App is like a Commodore64 to this app App is to a MacBook Pro! (That reference will be lost on Millennials).
In short- I'm searching for a better alternative now that I've been pushed towards Yelp... and I haven't really been a fan of theirs. 😕

I am a long time user of this app and really miss Urbanspoon. Zomato is ok I guess. But a lot of the reviews are not current. Most of the latest reviews are 3 years and older. I have been using Four square. It is getting better but a lot of restaurants are not listed. Any suggestion on a app that will fill my need. I want the old this app before it changed to zomato.

Will the owners behind Urbanspoon look at the reviews? The are almost all the same. Stop being like every other restaurant app. Go back to what this app used to be before combining with zomato.

Bring back the wheel. Can’t decide where to eat? Give this a spin.
Bring back restaurant filters by type, price, location, etc.
Improve search engine for more accurate results.

I used to use this all the time to get out of the “what do you want to eat”, “what do you want to eat” back and forth. We let the algorithm take the lead, and if we didn’t like the choice, use the Magic 8 ball slot machine to try again. Guess those old cool apps are just not around anymore. Kind of sad.

Zomato is glitchy when it comes to detecting locations and its interface is not nearly as user friendly as this app. I also feel like I am not able to view as many details about a the restaurants as I could when it was this app. Overall, I feel like I gained nothing from them switching to Zomato

Just deleted this app after years of frequent use. The migration over to Zomato has taken away everything great about this app, so it's no longer of any use.

You can find a restaurant and read reviews, but you can no longer see at a glance what % of people Like It, or easily review it yourself. Criteria searches are no longer easy. Zomato is just too watered-down.

Imagine having all of your favorite music on a playlist, and someone replaces it with one that has only a few of your favorites. Welcome to Zomato!

I can't blame this app for cashing in, but I think Zomato will regret the purchase. :-/

You zomato guys are real scumbags. I loved Urbanspoon. I've been using it since the dawn of Urbanspoon Store. You people twisted it into just another generic restaurant app. Now there's nothing unique about it, the iconic spinner is gone, and Urbanspoon that started it all has been bricked in a sadistic forced rebranding.

This is where I get off. Ride your little corporate money train off a bridge for all I care.

When did they change the way Urbanspoon functioned!!! I like the spin &, price rates of cheap to expensive....booo change it back!!!

Sooooo disappointed to have lost Urban Spoon. Zomato is not a useful replacement — doesn’t help me to identify great restaurants while on the road, not a foodie-community of users, and don’t appear to be actively taking feedback ... so I have to settle for Yelp until somebody else finds that hole left by the discontinuance of Urban Spoon.

We loved the casino slot machine spinner and the functionality of Urbanspoon. I don't like someone and have deleted it. Looking for my new favorite foodie app. 😔

Like many others have mentioned, Urban Spoon was a great app. Info was accurate, and informative. Zomato is just the opposite. Gives you restaurant choices not close or in some cases not even in the same state. I can’t say enough good of Urban Spoon, nor enough bad about Zomato. Please bring the original Urban Spoon back!!!!!!

I was just informed by LifeLock that I had some data that was sold on the dark web. The source was Zomato..... I couldn't figure what Zomato was, until I realized Zomato absorbed this app of which we were avid users. Thanks for nothing, Zomato. My data was stolen from your website.

Urbanspoon is no longer supported. I hoped for a better way of getting the word out than what actually happened. Being a long term user, I wish that the situation of transferring to Zomato could have gone more smoothly.

Urbanspoon has been discontinued and should be removed from Urbanspoon Store. All it does is display a screen that says Urbanspoon is now called something else and requires a different app download.

Urban spoon had a random restaurant selection option.
Like a slot machine.

I really enjoyed it and it is not available on Zomato

This needs to be removed from Urbanspoon Store. It's no longer an active. You download it and it tells you to download their new app. Not cool for if you're paying for data :(

Why even offer Urbanspoon if you must instantly delete and download "Zomato"? I would give you negative stars if possible. Thanks for the waste of time and I hope you experience nothing but agony for the rest of your life.
