Sweat coin has a great idea but it isn’t being executed very well. First off the step counter is WAY off, all the time. I noticed from the beginning I was getting cheated out of at least 1000 steps a day, usually more. When you finally have generated enough steps to buy something your options are seriously limited. Most of them fall into health and fitness categories, which I don’t mind it would just be nice to have a bit more variety. Then after you get past the physical items they have a variety of coupons to offer in exchange for sweat coins. Please don’t buy coupons on this app, I promise you can get almost all of them from a different source without having to pay anything for them. A quick Google search will find the same coupon. I did that frequently and saved my sweat coins. I only was able to buy on thing with my sweat coins that I was interested in. In the end I ended up paying about $20 in shipping for the item. It was a bag of coffee and I was really hesitant to pay, but since I had already used my sweat coins I didn’t want to waste them. The app would also continuously crash on me as well. Ultimately I donated the rest of my sweat coins to charity, which I am willing to bet much of the money did not actually go to said charity. I have since deleted this app and I don’t see myself getting it again. If another app pops up following the same idea in a more honest way, I’ll probably give it a try.

Where do I even begin?? Okay- so I’ve started out with sweat coin and there are SO many issues honestly; 1, the accuracy of the tracker only accounts to about 10-25%, which means that of the 7,000 steps I walk in a day I only get the credit for about 5,000 of those- a 2,000 difference. 2, when I finally chose an item ( the asleep gummies for five SWEATCOINS, NOT MONEY), at the checkout I was asked to fill out my credit card information IN DETAIL AND I QUOTE, “ Enter your name exactly as it’s written on your card”. I know I’ve had my moments but c’mon I’m not an idiot. More into detail upon this subject, when you go to “ pay” for said item in specific writing one of the steps claims that a discount will automatically be applied to the purchase, which means that my credit card information isn’t and SHOULDN’T be needed at all!! However this is not the case and NO WHERE in the app is there a discount for purchases related to the app. None. Go look, please. I was recommended this app and was told it wasn’t a scam, however upon further investigation this was proven invalid and completely ridiculous. If something doesn’t give within the next 24 hours, I’m deleting the app and having the person who recommended it to me delete it as well. Please don’t trust apps like this they’re all scams and if you think they’re not- check your credit card and payment history. Double check all of it.

I have used this app consistently over three years probably closer to four now and barely collected 5170 sweat coins. I have the latest version and like all previous versions it is frustratingly biased against you. The daily bonus is appealing when you first start but they change daily rewards to lower amounts and yes you can even win zero cents. I consistently win amounts less than a sweat coin for watching their ad stream. The ads can take an age to load and more often than not they are advertising more scam apps. Routinely once you have selected the daily bonus and waiting for the video to load it will just sit there forcing you to reload the app. Oh guess what, if you didn’t save your steps before you were forced to reload the app you have just lost them. As for the walking and even with the new walking indoors algorithm this app fails to meet my actual step count. There are other apps and trackers which are far more accurate. For example using the apps own step counter and the 2x Boost. Two separate counters within the app which should be using the same algorithm there can be a discrepancy up to 25%. I’ve taken screenshots of the total step counter before and after using the 2x Boost and have never seen anything better than 10% accuracy in counting my steps. Do yourself a favor delete the app and find another app to reward your walking.
