Webex Events App (Socio) Reviews

Shake to connect makes sense if you’re in person. The feature as implemented is very disruptive and anytime I move my phone, it goes to the Shake to Connect screen, asking for permissions and STOPPING the presentation. I should be able to disable this completely and that should be pretty simple to implement. Even if I’m at an event, I won’t be using this feature and I have a feeling it’s quite annoying and invasive to many people.

Using WebexEventsAppSocio was so nice because anytime there was a schedule change, it was automatically updated on WebexEventsAppSocio . The event sent us push notifications for major changes too which was helpful!

I just finished Anime Weekend Atlanta 2021 and WebexEventsAppSocio was so incredibly helpful and I never had a problem with it. It was very easy to use and helped me connect with my new friends! Please use this for every convention thats how great it is!

I used Socio in an event in Los Angeles with my organization. It is really efficient and effective. Shake feature makes the process more fun and engaging. 👍🏻 However, I couldn't figure out how to change my profile picture. I use iPhone 8!!

Very organized and yes still figuring it out BUT very user friendly. I’m using another APP for a fitness plan I’m am doing and it is awful. This one is lovely to use and also aesthetically pleasing to eyes.

This is the first time I have used WebexEventsAppSocio and I’m impressed with it. I like that you can find things in one place without having to carry the traditional thick note taker book.

Love WebexEventsAppSocio and web version. It as intuitive to use. The my agenda section on WebexEventsAppSocio was great. This was a great way to interact through technology.

Good app. A few improvements could help, like bing able to see larger pics (zoomed) of attendees or the ability to sort lists by other fields than the default.

Works well, has a lot of features. I just wish I could comment on the presentations as they were happening.

WebexEventsAppSocio was a tremendous addition to our event this year. I love having everything in one place and it is very slick! The games were fun too!

I don’t use many social media accounts, but I use Facebook, Snapchat and Twitter quite a bit. WebexEventsAppSocio is wonderful for sharing all my accounts with one simple action, shaking! The best part is, more and more people are starting to use it, this is by far the best way to exchange contact information. The idea is genius, WebexEventsAppSocio is simple and the overall experience is very smooth! I find myself going to Socio instead of my built in Contacts app since I can engage much easier with my contacts via Socio.

The Socio support team is awesome. WebexEventsAppSocio itself is great too, but the support is much better than having to fill out tickets or call an 800 number. I love being able to message my rep directly through their site.

Networking events are for meeting new people via talking and exchanging information the old fashion way. I was at an event that encouraged the attendees to use WebexEventsAppSocio to ‘connect’ with others via shaking their cell phones. That evening created an environment of attendees head down, looking at their phones. I don’t need to stare at my phone to find who is next to me, literally. I just need to keep my head up, eyes open, lips smiling and say “Hi, I’m _____ “. So what if I need to take 50 seconds to type in someone’s info. I can chat with him/her & continue the get-to-know-each-other process.

Building on Socio for an event makes me say, for the price point, functions are much too limited and the team is unwilling to truly provide any help beyond telling you what you already know. (And with my background in CS, I know some of the small changes I asked for are completely reasonable.) At this point in time, I cannot recommend Socio as an app to choose for future events. With so many competitors for event apps, with better technical support, I highly advise everyone to steer away from Socio for now and choose another app.

Great app for exchanging information. However needs an update that allows the user to change and delete some of their information such as photo, delete certain media accounts and fix their name (some ladies go through divorce). Please consider this as I would greatly appreciate it.

I really like adding friends near you by shaking the phone. I don't have to search a name to add a new person. It is cool that you can find your friends' popular social media profiles at one place.

It was great to replace conference paper guide with a digital version that was always up to date with the information. I also loved connecting with new people during the conference.

I work at Automobile company as an engineer and WebexEventsAppSocio made much easier to connect with other team mates on the first day of work. Thanks to people who made life much easier.

It freezes every two screen changes. It’s impossible to use. I have to force quit and restart halfway through scrolling through a single agenda. This is really frustrating because my conference has put so much information, including documents, on here and it’s so hard to access them. My iPhone is fully up to date but WebexEventsAppSocio has a fatal defect.

I have used many apps at events before, and Socio was hands down the most superior. I will be using Socio for all of my events moving forward now!

I love WebexEventsAppSocio! I can share all my social media information in one single handshake. Great for meeting new people without an effort.
