Let me start by saying that I’m so happy there’s a huge selection of preschool shows for my boys, but there are a few major issues. First, every time an episode finishes, the app shuts down. Second, when you click on an episode and then back out, it shuts the app down. Third, when you click to open the app sometimes you have to shut it down and open it again to have it actually work. If these issues are fixed this app will be perfect. We are moving across the country from MI to CA next year and are hoping these updates are made before then so we will not have to worry about these issues while driving.

My daughter and I love this app! It keeps her occupied when I need her to be. It’s educational and all her favorite characters. The only downfall, is it doesn’t seem to work without WiFi. I live in a rural area where good cell connection is hard to come by, and sometimes I would like to be able to bring the iPad and let her play games on a long drive. She always reaches for Noggin, but it never loads unless on perfect signal or WiFi. I would love to see an update that allows it to be played and watched without cell or WiFi service, or even work better on limited service. If I don’t have LTE it won’t work at all, not even 3-4G. Otherwise we love this app!

We are planning a cross country move from NC to CA and want to make sure this app works for my daughter that is 2 years old. She absolutely love this app but right now it will only open on my iPhone but I will need to use it for GPS during the drive and will not be able to hand it back to her while driving. I downloaded the app onto this iPad as a solution but every time I tap on the app it shuts off after 2 sec of play so I can’t even into it to trouble shoot it. So far the app is a 5 star but I really do need it to work on this iPad, which It does say it is compatible with. So if there is any help on this please let me know what I can do

I really do love almost everything about this app especially how much my son enjoys it. The only problem is I can’t afford it any longer. I know to most people it might not seem like a lot of money but I’m a single mom of four w/ a meager budget and Unfortunately I can’t justify paying close to what Netflix cost me which entertains the whole family. I wish you had a version I could purchase outright, even if that option didn’t have as many features as the original, Idk just an idea...Well again great app for your kids if you don’t mind paying a monthly service fee.

The new layout of Noggin is far less whimsical and imaginative than the old one. One of the biggest draws of the old app was its inviting menu music and circular menu wheel where you could only see one show at a time after being greeted by Moose and Zee. This new layout now reflects pretty much every other kids streaming app where you see a multitude of little boxes full of shows and episodes. By offering up many shows at once, it takes away from focusing more intently on one which I think is very important for children’s apps. Not opposed to seeing this app evolve; but just from the icon change you can tell it’s focusing more on the “popular shows” over its original beautiful branding.

I think it’s a great idea to have an app for noggin. I don’t have (nor do i plan to have) cable so this is a great app. However, it is difficult to navigate. There should be categorized menus for shows, clips, games, characters, etc. i know it seems like there is if you click the show at the beginning but i always end up seeing every single item bunched together, shows, clips, games, etc. EVERYTHING should be automated for kids, especially the ones that cannot read. It’s good but i think it should be more kid friendly because sometimes parents don’t have the time to sit there and figure out the app for them.

The FAQ says there are new episodes every week. While this is technically true (well, it used to be - there have been no new episodes since the last update ~4 weeks ago),the “new” episodes are actually the same ~20 recycled over and over. Paw Patrol only plays Season 2 episodes (there are now 6 seasons, I believe) and Blaze only plays Season 1, I believe (there are 4). I’m not expecting the newest episodes, an embargo of even a year would be completely understandable, but some variety would be great. We’ve been subscribing for over a year, and I’m VERY tired of the same shows over and over. It’s not worth paying every month just to get the same content.

The app is fun and loved by my daughter. However, the recent app update requires loading the noggin and nickjr websites in the background to authentic subscriptions and logins. If (like me) you have parental controls on only allowing certain access to websites, you can’t use the app without whitelisting them. The app will warn you that “Something’s Wrong” and suggest you need to quit and restart the app. After much back and forth with support they guessed correctly it was parental controls. It seems odd I have to weaken my daughters parental controls for a login, and even more odd that this is not disclosed.

You need to fix the bugs. I get booted out of the app after one episode. Of anything. Every. Time. This is the only thing my son can watch blues clues on, and it is his favorite show. But I shouldn’t have to stop what I am doing every 15 minutes to fix his TV to put blues clues back on because he is whining for it. Please fix the bugs, and I will up your rating. And I know it isn’t only my roku device because it is like this on both of the roku devices that my mom has and my sister’s roku TV. If you’re gonna up the noggin pricefrom the $5.99 it used to be to $7.99, ok that’s fine, but make it watchable on all platforms that you have before doing so, because otherwise it is pretty much worthless.

I like the idea of this app. All my kids favorites are on it and some you can’t watch on regular tv anymore. But it still has some bugs and needs improvement especially if you are watching it with the Roku. After each episode we watch it freezes and shuts down and sends us back to the roku main page. If you want to watch again you have to log back on it and go find your place. Sometimes it catches and will play the next episode but that is very rare.

The new noggin is amazing so far. It looks better and seems user friendly, but one of the highlights for me was the intro music on the app and TV version. My daughter would dance to this until her show started and now there is no music. Great new look, but bring back the background music! I honestly do t use the phone app much but imagine a lot of parents would like to have it for their kids. I use the TV app because we don’t have cable.

Really fun app. The kids like it and it’s easy for them to navigate. The shows are appropriate and educational. A lot of the other reviews complain about having to pay for the subscription but how do you think they’re going to run the app without ads and pay their overhead!?!? And it’s only $5.99 per month!! I think that is really reasonable for content that’s age appropriate, educational, and they don’t get bombarded with commercials.

Hey! I’ve got this for my little sisters on there tablets because I know they love it! A few minutes later while I was watching Netflix they came over to me and said “hey we need to pay for this just to watch an episode (my mom downloaded it and did the 1 week thing. But then she deleted it) so... can we?” I said no. Because I had no control over any money accept my allowance.. and i only get $5 a month so I couldn’t pay for it. My little sisters got kinda sad. Yeah I know you company’s need money. But here is one peace of advice: at least no matter how many days let us FRICKING WATCH 2 EPISODES FOR FREEE! just 2. Please don’t reply cuz ima probably forget I wrote this. Baiiiii ~cocoa

My 2 year old absolutely loves it but if you have iOS you may have trouble using it. When I purchased the app it worked well with 1 device but as soon as I downloaded the app on a separate iPad it stopped working. It won’t open in either iPads now. I contacted customer support and they told me they are working on the issue with the new update and they were nice enough to give me a $10 iTunes gift card but it’s been a week and the issue still isn’t resolved

I am absolutely loving this app. So much nostalgia watching shows I grew up when I was a little lassie again! However, not only that, but this app was my one way ticket to watch Robot and Monster, a show which I enjoy a lot. I know the target audience isn't preschoolers, but I would still appreciate it if you brought that show back on the app, considering I haven't seen it on the Nickelodeon app.

Love Noggin.. my sons favorite shows are on here. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work.. we get the "hmmm, looks like this video is not feeling well, maybe try again later". Tell that to a 12 year old boy with autism when he wants to watch his backyardigans. Fix this issue, and then I'll change it to what it should be, 5 stars. For reference, I do nothing to actually fix this.. sometimes it works... sometimes it doesn't.. pretty crappy considering we pay monthly

I love the Noggin app, it’s just my baby brother wants to watch shows on here, I would love to watch it with him and these are shows that was around when I was a kid, and I would absolutely love to watch it with him except the price was so high for a week of watching it free, I just really wish at least this app would let it be free but it’s not, and I can’t find any app like this one I just really wish that is app would at least be free, I love it but I don’t want to spend all this money!

(Dropped to one star) The update seemed relatively nice but quickly noticed the games that were newly added had no sound (bubble guppies) specifically. Not sure of the others since my daughter only likes guppies. All previously downloaded content was removed which isn’t a big deal but gets annoying having to download everything again. Meant to update sooner, most of the applications interactive games no longer work after the most recent update. Canceled subscription until issues are resolved.

My son loved and knew how to use the app like a pro, Could navigate I any of the shows or games he wanted, could tap on Moosey and Zee for fun little surprises.. and now it’s completely different and frustrating for him. It’s more chaotic with the bright colors, the lay out is less intriguing, it doesn’t talk to him anymore, there’s no sound on the menus anymore ... Such a dramatic change over night, when he was playing it just the other day. This is so different from what I was paying for and loved, I don’t know if it’s worth it to keep paying for the monthly subscription anymore :,(

As a parent of a special needs child who adores Noggin, it really meant a lot for your customer service to be so attentive with the iOS force close issue when it was happening, and then caring enough to write back when everything was resolved. We will be subscribers for as long as this service is available and are grateful for it’s return! 🙂

My son is 5 and loves the shows on nickelodeon. However, almost none of the shows he enjoys were featured or prominent on the app. He only played a few times and was not very interested. At the end of the 7 day trial I assumed I would get a notification saying the total was up abs give me the option of subscribing. That was not the case. I had to find out through the charge being processed. They never sent anything and now I'm just stuck paying for a month of an app that doesn't really work for us.

I have been using the noggin app for a while now and loved it when things were running smoothly. As of lately, my child cannot play any of her favorite games. I mainly pay for the subscription for the bubble guppies games but when we try to load the games, it just shows us a dark screen. After waiting a few minutes to load, nothing appears on the screen and we can only hear the audio of the game. We’ve waited on a couple of updates to see if the issue would be fixed but nothing hasn’t been taken care of.

While I love Noggin and have been watching it since 2004 when it was in tv with my first I dislike a few things. Why can’t I play it on my laptop when we are traveling? My Roku app always crashes. My baby can watch a few episodes and then it causes the roku to reboot. I tried deleting and reinstalling and still does it. I have been forced to watch noggin on a phone screen or a tablet. We should be able to watch it on a website.

My son is 2. This app is easy for him to navigate, thank you! But there is no way to see what he has watched or where he is in a series. Also, there is no season/episode indication for each episode, just the title. I do really like the seasonal bonus collections! Thanks again! And please give us some sort of “history” or something so I know he’s not watching the same 3 episodes all the time. Thank you!!

We have subscribed to noggin for awhile and have enjoyed it. Since the most recent update we find ourselves having to login every time we wish to use the app. It is very annoying. Is there anything we can do on our end? We are cord cutters & are using Roku. Might that have something to do with it ? Look forward to hearing from someone. Thank You

I gave this review two stars because of the app, not because of the shows. I LOVE all the shows feel confident in my child watching them knowing there’s not going to be anything crude or inappropriate. I LOVED THE APP LAYOUT BEFORE. I wish they kept it the same. I seriously was so bummed out today when I went to let my little girl watch it and it has been changed. I thought it was great the way it was and was so easy for my child to understand and navigate. I wish it had remained its old self. 😭

Imagine if public schools actually utilized technology to make learning fun and engaging, instead of turning into a government albatross of Marxist programming. Noggin pre-school is the killer app that could end toxic public schools. This app shows that the market will find a solution to the vile obscenity of socialist government excess, beginning with the biggest money waster- schools and teachers.

Like many others, I've given my iPad mini to my grandchild to play games. Unfortunately, Apple doesn't allow upgrades beyond 9.3.5. Thus, inhibiting the installation of many educational apps without spending a few hundred bucks on a basic iPad with newer versions of iOS. It would be nice if the developers took this into account and provided an earlier version of the app to accommodate those of us who don't want to hand over a $1900 iPad Pro to a toddler, just so they can use certain apps. Very disappointing.

The whole concept is great ! My daughter loves it !!! I just wish they would fix the bugs ! The app crashes a lot !!! And it kicks us out and goes back to my tv home screen ... so I have to log back in and find the episode we’re at. It doesn’t seem like a lot but having to do this several times in one day can get annoying . Please fix this issue !!!

I had the app previously installed but then we deleted it and cancelled our subscription. We decided to begin the subscription again so I reinstalled the app on our iPad and subscibed there. Now I've gone to redownload the app on my phone but it closes 2 seconds after I open it. I can't get past the blue intro screen. We love the app though. I don't know how else to get help with this issue.

None of the videos are playable outside the U.S., so I wouldn’t pay for a subscription unless you have the time to download all the videos you’ll need *and* sufficient storage space on your device. Maybe I missed it, but it would have been nice if they had stated up front that this would be so limited. I would be willing to pay extra for an “international” subscription, but these media companies just refuse to get their acts together when it comes to copyrights.

Downloaded to iPad and iPhone and started free trial. Downloaded app on iPad so my toddler can watch on bigger screen and the app won’t even make it past the first screen 3 seconds before it crashes and closes itself. She doesn’t want to watch on my phone anymore. I’ve already sent in 2 “contact us” emails with no response and have already been charged the first months $7.99 subscription fee. I would love to be able to use this app on iPad but can’t!

Overall this is a good app with a wide variety of shows to watch and things to do. However, this app could use some improvement. It would be great if you could stream to the tv instead of just watching it on the phone. They need to add chrome cast streaming or something so the shows can be watched on the tv too.

The previous version of this was great. It was very easy for my 2 year old to navigate and find her shows to watch. Now with all the added games and extra stuff, it makes it very difficult for her to get to her shows like before and she always clicks on a game because she doesn’t k ow any better. Sadly, I’m going to be canceling my subscription to this and sticking with PBS kids and Disney now.

I have this both on my iphone and on my Roku. Worked great off the bat. But, in needing the app to calm a 2 yr old, I was told I didn’t have a subscription. What?! Used it for months and all of a sudden-nothing. No email/alerts of any problems. Came home used it on my tv with no problem and then later in the evening it was gone and not working. It has been on and off for weeks now. Works one second and not the next. I’m done. And needs new episodes! Same stuff, gets old!

Now the app continually states it / I am offline (and therefore can’t access any online content) despite my iPad being connected to a fast WiFi connection and being able to use all other apps normally. Was planning to download a bunch of stuff for our daughter to get her through a 12.5 hour flight, but can’t do it because of this buggy update!

My daughter loves this app. She loves playing the play along videos . But lately since the last update the app hasn’t been working it’ll crash randomly & now for the past few days it won’t even load up . I hope this gets fixed fast . Cause I did pay the year long subscription.

Whenever you login to the app song things happen when I do get warm white out and I don’t like that my daughter has had some issues and she’s been crying since it didn’t work sorry 😐

Good app. Kids definitely love it. I like that they added shimmer and shine, but if they could add a few more of the recent shows that would be great. Plus they keep the same seasons on. I have yet to see any new episodes or seasons. I would be bored with the app by now, but I guess I’m glad my kids aren’t.

This app is a complete scam. I hate free trials that still ask for your card info then they don’t send you a reminder to cancel your free trial at the end of 7 days. They just keep it going and charge your account. You try and email, they don’t reply. Thankfully you can cancel subscription within your Apple ID in settings and if they still charge me on March 10, which is the day it’s supposed to cancel - I’ll call my bank and block any charges from this dumb app.

My daughter loves this app. It works on her tablet and my phone, however, we cannot get it to work on our Roku. It takes forever to load and then when we can finally chose a show it crashes. Upsets me that I am paying for it but can't watch it on TV. Please fix this!!! Otherwise, the app is wonderful!

Although I had to cancel “unfortunately” because my child no longer used the app, I have to say, the cancelation process is pretty smooth and that is greatly appreciated. The app is pretty cool also. My child just prefers U-tube videos. 🤷🏾♀️

While I will still use this to keep my kids happy, this is the worst designed app I think I've ever used. The music on the app blasts loudly at almost any volume somehow, there is no option to search for a particular show — only to scroll through every show they offer. On top of that there is no organization to the shows, they're all just randomly placed there.

I absolutely love the app for my boys, but before this most recent update it was super easy for my son to navigate on his own. Now it’s a bit more confusing for him. Plus it doesn’t always play the next episode and you have to pick another. Miss the old noggin. But love the app in general.

I just started a weeks free trial today. It’s as other reviewers have been saying for months, the app closes after every episode. It does this on both my roku TVs and my iPhone. Good shows, but I will be canceling before my free week is up if not fixed. Update: Worked for a while, now not working at all as others have posted. I’ve contacted tech support and they say it’s been rectified. Not hardly. Good shows but I’m canceling my subscription. What’s the point of paying for something you can’t ever use. :( Update: Tech said it had been fixed. Nope. It won’t even recognize my email anymore. It says no account is associated with that email. And yet, they debuted my bank account again this morning. Tech is no help. Do not get this app!!

This App is terrible. Constantly having to log in every time I click on the app which is complicated in itself. The same seasons for Paw Patrol. It never changes . We pay $10 a month for this, I feel that you can do better. I have had this app for almost two years and it never gets better. I’m tired of wasting money. To new subscribers don’t waste your money!

I canceled my subscription when it had ended & somehow I am still being charged for the month. I cannot get a hold of anyone & apple is no help. I haven’t updated my payment method until today, but I canceled all subscriptions at the beginning of the month. When I updated my card today, I was charged the $7.99. Not pro-rated for half the month. It’s horrible business. If that’s how you have to make money. Not happy at all.

My 12 yr old with severe autism loves this app. We have had it for years. This is the only way to watch some of his favorite shows and Moose and Zee. If only we could get Wubbzy on here! Please always keep it and the older shows! LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!

My daughter loves all the shows you have on Noggin, however we were NEVER able to enjoy it!! It NEVER worked, always had an error message telling us in a sweet way that shows are not available and to try another, to no avail we tried. I emailed multiple times to see what could be done and NEVER EVER received any response. Sad situation, would have loved to have this for my daughter. If I could give 0 stars I would just for the lack of response.
