I love this app but I need a lil help from developers please

I have been using this app from its conception and have never had an issue ever💝💝💝💝 I go in and play around with it every now and then to see what is new. I do know that if you want to change anything important in your chart like your personal information YOU MUST DO IT FROM THE WEBSITE. I am guessing that is to be sure it is a secure location to provide personal information for HIPPA. Not positive but that would be my guess. My only issue I have is I just read on the website that I can now link my 2 charts together so I do not have to keep signing out of 1 and signing into the other for information needed. I just cannot figure out how to "LINK" both of MYCHARTS. Can you please help me with this???? It is really annoying getting a message from my doctors and I go to MYCART and I sign in and ugh it's the wrong 1 every single time😡😡😡😡 linking them would save some aggravation that's for sure. I already have MyChart on my iPhone where they both are on MyChart just need them linked and I'm all set.

Need better delete option

I’m having a mastectomy and it keeps telling me to get a mammogram. I already got mammograms before and need to remove that and Cant. It clogged up my patient info so that I didn’t get a call back promptly for breast biopsy Followup. I was told to come back next years by office staff because they thought I wasn’t taking tests, non compliant etc. I don’t know why but I expect it’s the computer program blocking pertinent info about a patient and clogging the system with inaccurate info. System gets bogged down and becomes confusing to everyone. There needs to be an easy way for someone to update symptoms and procedures. Having a computer network like this is essential and can save lives so I appreciate it but keep working on making it more efficient and responsive. There should also be a confidential area that requires another password and a notes area. There should be a way I can enter information without having to scroll through ten pages and then given a small box that is not bug enough for info. I would like to enter info about the previous surgeon and hospital I have gone to and there should be an easy way to do this. There should also be a security aspect to it if someone does not want a specific person to visit them in the hospital or to have access to them.

Missing notes

I continually experience difficulty finding information on MyLaheyChart. The latest instance was when I received an email indicating I have a “New Message in My Lahey Chart account.” I logged on to MyLaheyChart and found a note indicating I had a message from my doctor. I clicked on it, and when the Message Center screen appeared, there was an entry in the Conversation section from my doctor with the same date as the email titled “New After Visit Summary”. When I clicked on that entry, a note was displayed stating “…Please click on the visit section above and the corresponding visit date to view your after visit summary…”. I clicked on the Visits section and then clicked on the View After Visit Summary option for the most recent appointment with my doctor and, under Appointment Details it read “No notes exist for this encounter.”. At some future date, without any additional notification, the “After Visit Summary” and “Notes” finally appear on my chart.
“After Visit Summary” lists the technical results of the visit. It is the “view notes” from my doctor that provide me with the relevant information that allows me to understand the results of the visit. I feel the system needs to change so it will send out email to patients advising them they have results of their visits only after the results are actually posted.

So not impressed

I already have the Molina healthcare app which I’m already supposed to be able to do all of this on but now I have to eat up more space on my phone to download yet another app. It isn’t user friendly at all and kept asking me the same questions over and over. I was told with urgency I needed to set this up and answer a questionnaire. When I tried setting it up it asked who my healthcare provider is but they aren’t on your list of providers. I contacted y’all for help and then was told to worry about it later. So which is it? To top it off I’m not sure when my actual appointment is because I set it up for one time and the girl that called gave me two different times from that one. Honestly, get it together! (This doesn’t bode well for faith in a system I already don’t trust.) I honestly don’t trust telehealth appointments because 1) I’m not seeing an actual doctor just a nurse practitioner and 2)I don’t understand how you can diagnose anything accurately without actually examining me. This just doesn’t seem like good healthcare to me but a shortcut to save a buck. For example, I’ve had lower left abdominal pain for the last month and a half, so how do you plan on making a diagnosis without any diagnostic testing? I really have no desire to do this at all but was told it was a requirement of my health plan so we shall see. I’ll give it a whirl and get back to you but so far I’m not impressed in the least.

Great but NOT user friendly

MyChart is great for keeping up with my appointments, communicating with the doctor, refilling prescriptions. However, when it indicates that there is a new message, I’m not sure which message is new unless I look at the date. My inbox reflect that I have two messages. When I click on the inbox tab, nothing happens. It would be nice if when I click on it, it go straight to the new messages and the indication of “two new messages” disappears reflecting that I have read the messages. It would also be nice if there is an indication of some sort to show that there are new messages and which ones are NEW.

In regards to the “to do list,” it would be ideal if I could decline the options or have a yes or no button or something to show that I don’t need to do what it’s indicating. For example, my dental office is totally different from my primary care physician and they keep telling me my dental appointment is overdue. I wish there was some way I could tell it no or not applicable. Additionally, it keeps telling me I’m overdue for an influenza shot. I have never, and will never, get one so to be able to decline or simply say “not applicable” would be great.

If these minor disturbances could be fixed, it would be a five star app for me.

Could be better

MyChart is great for a number of reasons besides checking test results and appointment reminders. •Through MyChart I can email my doctor directly, (very often they or they’re nurse will respond within a few hours so I assume MyChart makes that easier for them as well. •MyChart has a list of my meds (accurate only if you reported it accurately to the doctor) and provides an easy way to ask the doctor for a refill.•I can request an appointment from a established doctor •I can view and even pay my bill. All of these are things I can do securely through MyChart. It is very useful. What I CANNOT do is make notes. Currently I use MyChart only for check appointment times and the occasional email to the doctor. But I would use it weekly if I had the ability to make private notes. A note associated with a recent visit. Notes on possible drug benefits or side effects as I experience them. Notes on questions to as at upcoming appointments. Associating these notes with the drug or appointment or doctor directly within MyChart ; helps keep me organized and would improve my healthcare as it makes it more likely I’ll remember details of a visit and concerns I need to bring up at the next visit.

App

MyChart has helped to keep me informed about test results and information on what medication I need to get updated for refills also you can see upcoming appointments. One thing I have also noticed is that the doctor’s office uses this as a wall to slow feed information to me about medical treatment questions. In the past I would call in they would pass any message to the proper person to handle the questions. With MyChart they want 48 hours to respond and a lot of the time this process causes more questions than answers because there is no one calling you to make sure they are properly understanding the question or questions because MyChart allows them to hide behind the wall of MyChart and answer when they feel like it. It’s like passing information through a crack in a wall and it makes you feel like your talking to an automated system with very generic responses I believe MyChart makes them lazy and gives them more freedom to put you off. If your use to talking to people in your doctors office MyChart may change the relationship you have with your doctor and his or her staff. I definitely believe MyChart is better for the doctors office than it is for the patient. Good luck

Write a review response

The program is cumbersome and not intuitive. Getting a copy of bills to submit to secondary insurance is impossible to get. Having to call so they print it off before I can see it in the program is ridiculous!!! Plus half the time when I call the person doesn’t know what to do and then sends the wrong bills even after the date of the needs were provided. Looks like designers were assigned to different modules of the program and they do not interact well. When working with programmers you need someone to oversee how different modules interact or don’t. System runs amuck if not monitored for flow. Great idea for the program but not easy to search and get information needed easily. Also. When at an appointment, the detail of the appointment disappears until the follow up is completed. This is not helpful at all. Need the appointment visible all the time for details and directions. Email is hard to use, can’t add secondary people to them. Contacts are limited. Responses go unresponded to for days. Have been trying to remove a name from automatically receiving billing messages for months. Why can’t I do this myself? This is my information, i should have control over the dispersamente of it! Overall, great concept , lousy implementation-too disjointed of a robust program.

Healthcare is not a game

The basic concept of MyChart is good but the execution is terrible. It’s another example of apps being written by computer people out of touch with real life. Unfortunately this isn’t a dating app or other social media plaything, MyChart involves people’s health and medical treatment and it’s not something medically inexperienced computer geeks should be allowed to play games with - an especially sensitive topic during times of a global pandemic. What’s also unfortunate is that, unlike game apps, we can’t simply choose not to use this app, it is the ONLY app where we can see our medical records and interact with our health care providers in a world where face-to-face contact is becoming rare. That thrusts a huge responsibility on the makers of this app, one that they all but fail at. The user has zero control over the privacy and accuracy of their medical records or anything else for that matter except the silly option of choosing the color of their screen background. The makers of this app hide behind a veil of secrecy, there is absolutely no way to contact them for help, issues, legal matters, etc. They have a monopoly and they are in severe need of government regulation. Our healthcare is too critically important to play games with.

Horrendous

Penicillin was removed from my allergies. I was told to quit using my EpiPen when stung by a bee, when I’m allergic to bee venom. I brought in my medications twice to woman's family wellness center in Missoula Montana. They never got my medications correct not even when I added or corrected them on MyChart . “Doctor” I don’t Claire A Frost was the meanest person I have ever met who walked out of my very first appointment with her. I just had my 18th surgery in 8 years. I was, looking for a good general “care” doctor. This is an app where you try and communicate with people who are not healers. MyChart is biased. MyChart is racist. It’s sad when you can say the best part about a hospital (Saint Patrick’s) is it’s food. I was banned from defending myself! The doctor lied in her chart notes. Managers wouldn’t call me back. I can’t have children. I am so sick. I am so tired of doing this all on my own. MyChart didn’t make things easier I was just able to read lies! It took years for me to be diagnosed! Everyone treated me like I was making it up! When I called to try and get into MyChart I was transferred twice on hold for an hour and not told why I couldn’t use MyChart anymore. MyChart treats women that can’t have children like they are not worthy of compassion and care!

Worst incompetent medical app ever!!!!!

Response to developers
Shame on you for trying to blame this on my health network. I already talked to my health care providers network, and the fault lays with this app. According to my health network, this transfer has been a disaster for them. They have to apologize on your behalf because this app has screwed thing up so bad for so many people like myself. I have already contacted this app about my situation, all I get is a boiler plate response of wait 1 to 3 weeks. Well it’s been 4 1/2 weeks now and still nothing. The impression from my health network is that this is not what they bargained for when they opted to use Epic’s this app. All of Epic’s this app medical apps in the Apple App Store have low user rating. This is indicative of poor product quality.

Mission Heritage left Follow My Health app for this garbage. Due to the switch over to MyChart, I can no longer use Follow My Health and I can not use MyChart because they do not have any of my information. MyChart is absolutely useless for me and my family. Why on earth would someone shut down the use of the FollowMyHealth app before the “new and improved” this app app is ready to use? MyChart really screwed thing up for my family. The way this transfer is going screams incompetents.

Dis organized

I went to this place little neck and they told me come back at 2 pm I came back early and the place was jammed pack they just told us to wait no number or anything and it’s almost 30 people and a long hours wait still not calling anyone it takes a long hours for me to wait to be tested for my PCR the staff are unfriendly and not compassionate with the patient so rude and the PA who tested me name Riaz Ali ! was a nightmare for me ! for the PCR give me a trauma she was so rude and seems angry when I ask her I’m gonna get a PCR for my travel she doesn’t seems to know and have to ask the other nurses about what kind of test and when she does the Covid test she almost brought the swab to my brain and so hard so painful I almost bleed !! Terrible and horrible person to do that she seems so angry that she did the most painful test in my life!!! That I have to write this review so they can tell the nurses or PA that being in medical it’s there job they should be compassionate and patience with the patients . Specially the person who tested me until now I can’t get over to what she did to me !

Love it

MyChart is great, has everything in one spot, I don’t need to walk away with papers anymore after an appointment as I can just tell them to put it on my portal. I can message my doctors immediately and also echeck-In which saves A LOT of time. Also being able to see all my past appointment and information as well, I can update all of my insurance or medications through MyChart too. The most important thing to me though is that I am able to have proxy to my daughters profiles so I can easily grab something if needed for medical reasons or need to go back and check something all their papers are there and I can also schedule our appointments through MyChart and have our tele medicine appointments too (even though I make in person appts because I think it’s more important for the doctor to see you in person) if you can’t make it in and your symptoms are not bad the tele medicine is great. MyChart is wonderful.

Welcome to new age tech. Just keeps getting better and better.

So Beneficial!

My daughters have a lot of minor health problems and have to see several specialists. We try to keep them in the same health care system, but that’s not always possible. When a doctor asks what medicine they’ve been on or when they’ve been on a medication or seen another specialist for a problem, it’s all right there at my fingertips. Our previous pediatrician used MyChart and so did the specialists, which made it even easier. We moved, and our new pediatrician’s office doesn’t use MyChart. It has frustrated me on numerous occasions. Now I write everything down in case I need it. I’m constantly asking them to please get this app! I’m glad that our specialists use it, and hopefully the pediatrician’s office will get it soon!!! MyChart has been such a lifesaver for us!!! It’s so convenient and easy to navigate. I can even send messages (with pictures!) straight to their specialists, even in the middle of the night. This is the best app that I have on my phone!

Super impressed

I’ve been using MyChart for almost a year or so & I don’t know how I lived without it!! I have multiple health issues & keeping track of Drs. can get very confusing. MyChart keeps track of all of my Drs. & my appointments. It also gives you a complete list of everything discussed at that appointment, when you need to follow up if need be & a link to contact the Dr. if you need to. MyChart keeps track of all my medications & you can request refills too. I can also share my chart with anyone I choose to add. So if you need someone to help you navigate appointments this is awesome. Plus it’s just easier for my kids to keep track of what’s going on. I always forget what I talked about with my Dr. so this way my kids know everything. You can also add your appointments directly to your calendar. I can’t think of anything else right now but I’m sure I’m missing something. Lol. I just couldn’t go back to my old way of doing things. MyChart is priceless & it’s free!! 😉

The Ultimate Medical Convenience

Breast Cancer has been no walk in the park. But from the beginning of this ordeal, I have found reliable and secure communication and information regarding my treatment through this app. My appointments are scheduled, confirmed and if needed, changed, via this app. I’m able to message my doctors and receive prompt responses, view test results and images, check my balances due, make payments and so much more. I even share important information with my son, saving me many calls and explanations. I have friends and family in West Texas and they are, for the most part, in the dark about their medical situation unless they are at the doctor’s office or have received emails providing info. They are very impressed that I can login to this app and access my doctors, nurses and volumes of information. Even though I’ve had a tough 2021, it’s been comforting to have a talented team of doctors from MDA and this app to relay information to and from my providers. In short, it’s convenient and IT’S GENIUS!

Handy

It’s super convenient. You can check on up coming appointments and have access to the follow up care paperwork afterwards in my experience within mins of leaving my appointment. You can message your doctor or nurse directly if you have medical questions and if you have other questions like billing that’s also available as an option but it’s one I’ve yet to use so unfortunately I can’t give any information on what it offers. You can check on your referrals. You can make almost all your appointments through this app also. I really like and appreciate apps like these where I can do almost everything I need to from my phone. I have panic attacks knowing I have to call and talk to someone most days and I get upset and embarrassed and I won’t call and get services for myself but with this app I can take care of all of it with my phone then just show up to my appointment on time. It’s been the best thing for me

Great App & Functionality With One Noteworthy Flaw

Ive had MyChart for my previous Healthcare provider, Atrius Health. It’s worked pretty much flawlessly since I installed it several years ago. I get my test results promptly and can communicate with any of my doctors quite easily as well as schedule and cancel any appointments.

The one flaw, major in my opinion, is there is no way, at least no easy way, to change the Healthcare Provider. Two years ago, our insurance changed and our new Healthcare Provider uses MyChart as well, but my settings and login are connected to my previous company and there no way I’ve been able to find to change my login to my new provider. When I go to their webpage where you see the “try our App, install here” it takes you to MyChart store, where i see MyChart, which if course shows that its already installed but the login takes me to my previous Providers page not the new one. This should be fixed so the User can easily change his Provider, which is hardly an uncommon occurrence. Given how many Healthcare Organizations use this same App, this should be a priority fix.

Glitch in app

Somehow MyChart randomly changed my notification email preference. I normally set my email preference as my personal email and weirdly enough it changed my email without me touching MyChart at all! It changed my email to my business email/school email which is frustrating because I only noticed this after I checked my junk mail in my business/school email and had to fix my email preference through the this app website. this app has gotten a lot worse ever since the update and revamp. I am 21 years old and well-versed in technology and no app should be this difficult to comprehend. I know how to use MyChart to its full extent but it’s MyChart that’s the problem where it doesn’t fully work. I just don’t know why update and revamp MyChart . What target audience are you trying to reach? You have to put yourself as a consumer and see how you would utilize MyChart . I personally do not recommend MyChart after the update; however, if MyChart went back to its previous platform i would totally recommend it. Any app developer who responds to me has to understand the marketing aspect of this because I have some background knowledge in app developing and marketing.

By

Poor design for notifications

When I have new emails, my email app has a count of them added to the icon and can also send notifications to the phone even when it is “off”. MyChart does nothing.

Even when MyChart is open, there is no visual clue that you have a new item you may need to look at. The only thing you get is an email to your personal account to tell you something is there, no clue as to what that something is. You have to manually search MyChart to find new items. I have not seen that kind of behavior in years in any app, especially one that might actually be telling you something important. I can’t believe an app like this that appears to be the choice from a lot of prominent health care companies has this behavior when every game does it better.

A lesser, but still annoying problem, is that it keeps telling me that safari does not support chat. Well, if it does not, then remove the chat button and stop annoying me multiple times each time I enter the screen! I am not even using that button!

Great new features

Finally shows sent mail and whether it has been read by staff or not. Collects all kinds of data in one place that you need. Not perfect, but still indispensable: 5 stars but could still use major work. Example: e-checkin allows you to add/delete meds, allergies, conditions before your appointment when you have the info handy, but this data doesn’t appear on the clinic’s computer for the doctor once you get there: major flaw! The databases should sync, or there is no point. Also, requested add/delete info never gets added/deleted by the doctors/staff (possibly because they don’t see it?). Would also like ability to send the same message to multiple doctors at once; currently only one doctor gets the message: no way to add or CC others. Ability to add appointments directly to your phone’s calendar with the click of a button ROCKS! Scheduling is very limited, however. Pluses and minuses, but keep up the good work!

Convenient for Medical history and more

I really enjoy MyChart. Upfront, my only gripe is that I can’t call from MyChart . I was late and needed to call to see if they could still see me. I ended up having to find the office in maps and call through there. Even though they have the office info in MyChart . Just need to make the phone number hyperlinked to the phone dialed.
Otherwise, MyChart is great! Keeps my meds and recent test history right at my fingertips. Needed to log some levels at work for insurance rebates and because I had record of them on MyChart , I didn’t have to got through their BS and just entered my numbers.
I can use this to communicate directly with my doctor and the staff in the office too. Makes it super easy to communicate basic questions and prevents unnecessary trips.
I recommend my doctor and they app to others at the same time!

Great app, but…

This has been an extremely helpful app for me, allowing me to communicate back-and-forth with my primary care physician much more efficiently than we ever could before. It also has helped me to keep track of what tests I have had done and what the results were, what my upcoming appointments are scheduled for, and it lets me know whether my primary care physician has received the results from other doctors and tests yet or not as well.

However, the messaging app is extremely, excruciatingly difficult to use because messages are limited to only 750 characters! In this day and age where hard drive space and server space are so inexpensive that they are a cheap commodity, there is absolutely no excuse for this kind of ridiculous limitation. Every time I need to communicate with my doctor, this forces me to send three emails instead of just one! I am begging you, PLEASE fix this!

App is having problems loading data

Over the last week - probably since this update, MyChart is having problems loading data and is just incredibly slow or when I select icons, it doesn’t load any of my info at all - giving error messages about not being able to retrieve my data at this time or that its having problems with its server.

I had to contact my docs office today to get info about past medical summary and upcoming appointments. My recent test results and even messages sent to/from from my doc aren’t loading. It either says it can’t load my data at this time and then gives an error pop up message or it says it can’t download data from the server. When trying to retrieve messages, a bar with pop up message saying it’s trying to retrieve from Legacy and has its logo - which is a place I’ve never used & MyChart doesn’t support.

I called Tech support today and did some trouble shooting over the phone. They said to try it on a desktop (seems silly since we need MyChart to work to gain access to it on our mobile device). Also was told to delete and re-add MyChart . it didn’t work any better and still showed error messages about retrieval, so I’m at a loss!

It’s supposed to help us stay connected to our docs and medical reports - to add mobile convenience. We should not be made to go to a desktop, when the whole idea of an app is convenience. Hopefully enough people complain about this that it gets updated and fixed.

My Charts just keeps getting better

I’ve used My Charts since it was first introduced for PC. Now I used it with 3 health systems that use various versions of MyChart . When my primary in one system and my gastroenterologist in another we’re able to ‘reach across’ their systems and sync my medications, see the labs performed by the other I knew My Charts had grown up. I’ve never had a problem in the desktop, iPhone and iPad APPs. I travel twice a year and I have piece of mind that I’m carrying my current health records with me. I now what my neurologist to interface their system. They get into this app easily but their is no merging of test, visit notes, therapies ordered accessible from MyCharts for my other doctors to see. I figure that will happen in due time.
The developers of MyCharts and the APPs for it get KuDos from me. A 10 if the review scale allowed.

A good Alpha version missing key features

What is there works which is good, but it's missing some key features to make it generally usable.

Login: must add Touch ID login capability. The passwords to our medical accounts are by definition already long and complex for security. Entering them on a computer keyboard is already nontrivial. On a phone soft keyboard it's a pain and likely requires several retries. Get it once and the use Touch ID and the keychain.

Test results: good to see the. It missing the a ability to chart the several results over time I can do on the website.

What would also be good but not as critical is that for a prescription/drug the condition for which it was prescribed would be VERY helpful. Many of us get prescriptions to have on hand IF a condition flares up. So I'm not taking it normally, it's in a drawer. Looking over the list and seeing drugA would be better if it had "for treating blah".

But key is the Touch ID login. With the password manual entry I'm just not going to use this over time and just wait till I get to a computer as was the case already.

Update: the developer suggestion one should contact their healthcare provider is the wrong answer. Epic should update MyChart to provide Touch ID as a way of accessing and communicating the passwords stored in the keychain. Asking hundreds of people to contact dozens of healthcare providers is stupid.

Messaging Great Lacking Almost Everywhere Else

Before my Doc retired it was fantastic being able to get a hold of him easier than going through office. But there were a few hiccups with not getting notifications.
Trying to schedule an appointment with a new doctor in the Practice, I accidentally hit the DR. I saw at Urgent Care that Practice has connected to office. Now he is set as my Doctor and cannot see a way to remove the mistake through APP or desktop. Nor do I like the fact that just because ob/gyn is not in their system or would I link it, I can never get around the TO DO messages for Check Ups. Not exactly an app bug issue but in July I was in a fire and due to underlying health issues they took me to an Honor Health Hospital.I literally told them my info was in My Chart cause my Dr Office was part of Honor Health. They have over 20 years of records and the Hospital never even accessed it not once or even called office. What a joke !

Billing portion of the app and to do list

I would have rated it higher but I don’t like a couple of the features. First in the billing area it automatically defaults to paperless billing. Second once you are looking at the bill you can’t print it. I use a HSA account through my work and pay dr’s bill that way. This forces you to pay through MyChart . And had to play around with MyChart just to turn off paperless billing.
Another feature I don’t like is the medical to do list. Through both my medical providers I have linked in MyChart it show 2-3 exams/shot to do for the year. It will not allow editing to tell it they are done. And my primary dr’s office is still struggling with updating it as well. They are still flipping back and forth between their old system and this one to view things.

The two health providers are Cape Fear Valley Health and Duke Health.

Finally improved

Last review I was royally po’d at all the problems. But I’m happy to say things are looking better. My login problems are gone and Touch ID is working normally again. The appointment scheduling section had been a total snafu - but now it looks and acts much more as expected. Unfortunately, the provider controls the options and the Cleveland clinic is not offering the ability to schedule a specialist visit. Kind of sad since my primary issues are cardiac and I typically schedule a cardiologist visit every 6 months, whereas I normally only see my primary doc once annually for my physical. Meanwhile, the messaging and test results continue to be very handy. Hopefully it continues to improve and be even more useful in the future. Thanks to the dev’s for listening and fixing user issues.

Not trustworthy

I have the this app app on both my iPhone and iPad. I have it listed for my hospital visit, my eye clinic visits and my general health visits. The only thing is accurate on his keeping the appointment dates updated. And yes it does share test results. That’s it.
It does not provide any billing information at all despite my getting paper bills indicating massive charges nothing ever appears on the this app apps. There is no way of letting MyChart people know that it doesn’t work the only messaging goes to the doctors and I don’t trust it since they don’t even tell me the bills. This is a useless app that makes people think they have contact and that they are sharing information and information is being shared with them.
Thank goodness I kept paper statements for everything otherwise I would have no tracking of my billing or payments. This is a scam both to the medical profession into the patients. For goodness sake I hope somebody read MyChart and updates it correctly.

I Love it Except....

1.) The e-check in process is excruciating, only for me to have to do the exact same process at the dr’s office. It doesn’t save me any time or aggravation so for as frequently as I go to the Dr, I just stopped doing the e-check in.

2.) I see providers in two different local health care systems. They both use this app but it seems that I can only use MyChart for one or the other. I would love the simplicity of not having to use desktop features from my phone for both but that does not seem to be an option.

Other than that, I love having all of my test results at my fingertips, before my next appointment even. That allows me to prepare for educated conversations with my physicians prior to seeing them. Also, I can look back and see my progress.

This App has its Ups & Downs

MyChart Needs to be Updated and needs Improvement.
It is constantly giving me loading problems saying server not connected. I cannot send messages to my doctor. Make appointments or view anything on it but my appointment date and time. Then you're not able to make appointments for dental but yet it gives you a dental over due reminder. The alert reminder bell is annoying it should have a clearing option once viewed. MyChart needs a lot of work. The part I do like is you can see what doctor, nurse or specialist is really doing there job professionally. A lot uploaded to the site isn’t very accurate. It makes you question your hospital and clinic choices. I really hope they make some changes to MyChart very soon. The doctors uploading as well to MyChart also need to do better proper medication on file health issues etc. I cannot even review my test results. 😭 Please Update

Just another worthless, time wasting app generated by tech geeks that don't have enough sense to pour pee out of their own boots! These people are COMPLETELY out of touch with the "common person" and therefore REALITY! Nothing is intuitive on MyChart, you must search and search for everything you want. One would think that at least a current payment owed option would be front and center on an app used by companies as greedy as the big hospitals are(I guess they haven't caught on YET), not to mention any NEW MESSAGES ready to be read. I have had MyChart with THREE different hospital organizations on two different computer operating systems and it's been the same with each of them. My biggest gripe is that the message function has been DYSFUNCTIONAL on all three of the accounts that I have had. I try to send a message and can never get it done. It's bad enough that these message things ALWAYS set a limit on "characters" used, in the case of MyChart it's 250. So, I ALWAYS forget and go over limit and then have to go back and edit, usually multiple times. THEN, I try to "SEND" the message, only to find that the send button is greyed out and therefore useless. I haven't been able to actually send 10% of the messages that I have tried to due to this GLITCH! Old messages PILE UP while I am constantly getting new ALERTS that I have a new message, only to go to MyChart and find that I can FIND NO MESSAGES THAT ARE NEW! GOOD REVIEWS?! I have to wonder why? I know that sometimes reviews are bought and sold. That is undeniable. I hope that is not the case here, but who really knows. I would like to review MyChart with someone like Consumer Reports where THAT likelihood is much less likely. Another problem I see on MyChart is that it even gets current and past medications wrong as it has done with two of my past meds and one of my current. I DO NOT KNOW how much programming has to do with all of this though. Misinformation in, misinformation out. All I know is that I am 67 years old and in failing health. I got MyChart to help me navigate the healthcare system and KEEP TRACK of things FOR me, not ME have to KEEP TRACK OF MyCHART! LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO SCREW AROUND WITH MYCHAT in my opinion. I am calling my healthcare providers and demanding that they send me PAPER for everything, including ALL diagnostics, labs, and bills. Then, I am deleting MyChart from every device I own. I am also going to REPEAT this review anywhere else I can so people can hear what they might well be in for if they try to use MyChart. SINCERELY, Larry Boydston.

The idea of my chart is good -the actual app is pure aggravation.. Incorrect information is impossible to correct.they refuse to correct it everytime.and your dr wont fix it either-so when your dr missunderstands you or a nurse or tech just totally screws up,you are stuck with incorrect information on your record forever. You will also be hounded by countless emails and texts that are totally unnecessary. i use it a little as possible.i dont need that aggravation.

Mychart has proved wothless for communicating with my care providers. Messages are not read approximatly 80% of the time. The 20% that do actually get looked at do not recieve a response for 20 to 30 days. I was was injured in a fall and had to go to the ER on 2 occasions because it was IMPOSSIBLE to reach my primary care doctor. No way to reach a caregiver by phone. Ring, ring, ring... 20 minures later, disconnect! So, it's back to mychart. One could literally DIE waiting on mychart to work. The only thing that does work, getting test results. For any other need it's WORTHLESS!

We left our last doctor because of MyChart. It is a nightmare in regards to billing. I was always overpaying for bills, payments were never applied where I asked them to be applied, a definite lack of transparency, and spent hours on the phone trying to get bills paid. Unfortunately, the offices can't see what you see. We went to another doctor and they are on the same system. I'm having the same problems again. I spent a half hour trying to pay individual accounts a couple of weeks ago. The payments were not applied to those accounts. They split payments and didn't apply credit where it was supposed to go. Now it's a confusing mess and they say I owe for the bills I paid. I even have the documentation to support all this. I am now keeping meticulous records and taking screen shots of everything I pay because I can't trust this system. I detest it. The lack of transparency is horrible. Busy people will overpay on their bills. I give this system an "F"!!!

THIS WAS WRITTEN BY ANOTHER USER and I concur 100% Plus MyChart is just awful to use. The basic concept of MyChart is good but the execution is terrible. It’s another example of apps being written by computer people out of touch with real life. Unfortunately, this isn’t a dating app or other social media plaything, MyChart involves people’s health and medical treatment and it’s not something medically inexperienced computer geeks should be allowed to play games with - an especially sensitive topic during times of a global pandemic. What’s also unfortunate is that, unlike game apps, we can’t simply choose not to use this app, it is the ONLY app where we can see our medical records and interact with our healthcare providers in a world where face-to-face contact is becoming rare.

No ethical clinic should use this software. Tech help sounds like minimum-wage people who cannot answer any question that doesn't confirm to a (short) prep page. I have no confidence in any medical professional who believes this company's advertisements.

I am having an on going problem since October 2022 with My Chart billing. Both my health care insurance, Aetna Medicare, and AHN billing assure me that I do not owe $209.00 for that CLAIM on My Chart, however, My Chart continues to indicate $209.00 is past due. I have called AHN billing numerous times with no correction even though I am assured that I owe $0.00. I am receving past due emails from My Chart and am very frustrated with this issue. I can envision this bill being sent to a collection agency that then compound the issue.

I had a scope scheduled for November of 2022 with Dr. Tulluri Kumar, i did not go through with it but now i feel it is important i have it scheduled, I cannot get through to anyone on the phone or on MYCHART which is USELESS there is no one to chat with justy like on the phone, i have now been on hold for 20 minutes and on my chart instead of a chat line they profess to have, i see that the system is too busy to answer on my chart, so how is a patient supposed to get through to get the help they need??

Mychart is not inclusive. You set up an account for your primary doctor. He sends you to a specialist in another town. That doctor wants you to set up another account because they are on a different Mychart. The specialist sends you to another facility for tests. Guess what? They are on yet another Mychart. You end up with a dozen different Mychart accounts. What a joke.

MyChart is a horror. It's good for appointments records and messaging a provider about general things. Otherwise, total lack of patient agency, yet its meds records are often inaccurate; in fact, I've seen intake MAs remove one only to have it reappear later. It's also disturbing to me that a provider from one health care group can access my records records from another. If that was a permissions issue, I never gave mine. Awful GUI too.

My Chart is absolutely awful! I am sure it is not a big deal for most young people to log in with one finger on their cell phone. I cannot even read the information on my phone let alone get kicked out 15 times because I missed a letter or a number. The information I am looking for is regarding a COVID test. Positive or Negative right? Not that easy, I cannot enter my account or even register for a new one. I call the clinic and was told that someone would call me so I am sitting here sick as you may expect developing a lot of anxiety because I do not know what to do. This web site is just another way of kicking the can down the road. I feel like I have no choice but to go to the clinic at the risk of exposing everyone I come into contact one and call me with the results. Anthony Hansen (949) 444-9179

1. It says I need yo verify my phone number, but never sends me the code. Why can't it figure out that calling me, and getting answer means you have the correct phone number? 2. There is no way to set appointment reminders. Telling me 3 days in advance works just as well as 30 years in advance. I need a reminder the morning of the appointment. 3. All the phone suggestions send you to a phone tree that never connects to anything.

This is the most lazy tool of communication that anyone can have, when it comes to important medical information that is seriously very important to a patient. Its is not dependable to work have the time and this makes the people in the office so lazy, they send a message and never check to follow up if you received it. It's crazy and this is my health. Where is it when the can call you after 3 or more days if something g is still sitting at the desk a d has not been pi led up. I have told them several times do not leave messages in my chart please call me. I will delete it going g forward and I will no lo ger have my chart. Its maki g staff to lazy and they are not in my case, several cases, doing a good job with there job any more. Thanks for listening and i hope it makes a difference for me and some other elderly person. Amen

Mychart is the most aggravating software ever designed to piss people off. 3 days before my appointment I get a phone call, an email and a message. Quite often at the same time. I don't need a reminder 3 days in advance I need a reminder the morning of. The program doesn't let me or the doctor delete bogus information. I haven't taken most of my medicine in 2 years but they are still on there. I had to make an appointment but no one ever told me not to eat before hand. Why is it after I read a message from my doctor I can never see that message again? Am I suppose to memorize every message? Why is it the phone verification NEVER WORK? Why do I have to tell everyone and they all reply "there is nothing I can do about it" The people that wrote this software are laughing all the way to the bank. Once again, more proof that money and/or education doesn't equate to intelligence. I am forced to use this broken software, I have to grab screen grabs just so I can defend myself when I miss an appointment or show up at the wrong place (which of the two places mychart has told me to go to is the correct one August 22 of this year? It is really important I go to the correct address, but no one knows because mychart is a farce.

What a mess the change over from our hospital's online portal to My Chart!!!!!!!!!! They never emailed those that used the old program that it would no longer be used. Many users of the old system were requesting prescription renewals and their pharmacy never got them because the physicians were no longer looking at those requests. Now you can't even request a renewal in My Chart and must call your doctors office. The staff are getting bombarded with phone calls and many times you keep getting a busy signal. Not to mention the issues for the pharmacies. Lots of data wasn't even transferred. SO NOT IMPRESSED. Just because it's new technology doesn't mean better.

Needs the ability to record patient notes at any time. I need to record my BP every day and blood oxygen levels. In addition, as I generate questions for my doctor these should be able to be recorded in the app.

Alexandra   1 year ago

I really dislike the fact that any healthcare system &/or provider I go to who now uses MyChart automatically has access to all my records. I had taken great care to ensure that any care I was to receive would not be accessible through MyChart and I was assured it would not be because they didn’t use MyChart. That was 3 years ago. Today I learned that without being consented or even notified any system that uses MyChart can access my records - even though I have in writing that my records are not to be shared. Why you might wonder? Because of the blatant lies and other inaccuracies contained in a particular organizations records - records that the provider refuses to correct.

Lilly   2 years ago

Most thing about the app is great but need to keep test results off of it due to questions re why the test result was flagged or if a mass is found. Nurses response is “will pass along to Dr” dr response is “please allow me 2-3 business days to review the results”. So the why not keep test results to yourself until they can be reviewed and explained. Cause if you have a mass you want some response immediately right? You don’t wanna wait 2-3 business days.

I am a patient of Peace health Geriatrics Bellingham Washington. There doesn't seem to be internal records of referrals made to Doctors outside the MyChart by Epic system. Further the results of the visits in not documented in the MyChart. Ideally, all referrals outside the system, the visit summary and notes of such visits, would be posted so that a patient could discuss the visit with their PCP and decide what to do about the result. There should be some method to scan the visit information and post it to the patient's MyChart. Or there should be an interface that would allow the outside Doctor to download the information into MyChart. The My Chart Menu would have referral visits and the results. The referral to an outside Doctor would include a request to download the visit into MyChart.

My doctor asked me what my last PSA test result was. He could not find it. That is probally because it is inside another group of test. It took awhile but by looking at each test I wass able to find it. 1.Why can't a summary page be created that shows a list of test taken and historical results for each. 2. Why can't a common patient history sheet be created so that when you see a new doctor rthere would be no need to fill out the endless forms on the first visit It seems that this app could be so much better for the patient and more importantly the doctor.

AWFUL APP and the people on their customer service lines are rude. Maybe they are irritated with the questions they keep getting because the app is useless. The customer service representative said I can't get test results on the app yet there is a Test Results button. And under FAQs it says YES you can get test results. However, once your child turns 12 years old you have less access to their medical records. What? I pay for the insurance and he is a MINOR. Ridiculous. So now I have to call and have the doctor read the results to me instead. And yes, they can read you the results for your child but you can't see them for yourself. So frustrating!!! And to call the doctor there are wait hold times of over an hour because they are switching to a new system.

Bret   2 years ago

This thing is absolutely worthless..I have to change my password every time I sign out.. and occasionally it changes immediately after I change it.. either something is wrong with the program or I am being hacked constantly, only on this thing.Complete trash and my Drs insist on using it even though I have repeatedly informed them that it doesn't work. My recommendation is to just tell your doctor's that you don't have internet and can't use it at the beginning..Last week I had some tests done and they sent results to MyChart. So I tried to call to get results and they refer me to MyChart , so I have no idea what those results are and I am done dealing with this insanely bad software. My gerbil could write better software. Do not use

Douglas Betts   2 years ago

Good for contacting your doctor and keeping track of appointments. When it comes to test results it is hit and miss. Some test results are there some aren't even though they swear at the hospital they are, then they treat you like you are stupid. Very aggravating!!!

Stu Forrester   2 years ago

Mychart is crude and amateurish. I look at messages on my phone and there are no dates/time on them. Date controls for questionnaires only advance by months and not years. Several data items from a previous visit was changed or lost in the system. No data integrity and crude user interface renders this portal of only limited use.

Gary Steven Forester   2 years ago

Mychart is not preserving data or is allowing corruption of it. The last time I updated my information, it came up with strange dates that didn't correspond to anything, years off. Others were dropped entirely. This happens every time If your data is unreliable why should I bother to enter it again? I won't use the on-line check-in again until your problems are corrected and you can prove data integrity and security

G Forester   2 years ago

Your web app is awkward and uses out-of-date navigation. Active Server Pages (asp) was replaced with aspx in 2002. It should have been updated BY NOW! The limited editing ability in Mychart makes data entry too tedious. This causes people to stop using it. I for one will not advance a date by several years by clicking a month 12 times per year. The inability to use a browser's page navigation is a major hindrance and unacceptable to common programming standards. This is another problem from being so dated and limited as Mychart is.

Steve Forrester   2 years ago

Get better calendar controls with year forward and back buttons and text entry. I am not correcting a date that is 10 years off by clicking a button 120 times.

Allegra Pitera   3 years ago

This app should be prohibited from sending test results after working hours or before the Dr has contacted the patient! To do otherwise, as it does now, is ethically, morally & professionally irresponsible! This practice needs to STOP NOW!!

I spent 30 minutes on hold waiting to talk to someone. Once I finally was able to speak to an associate she did not have answers to anything as her response to everything was, well I don't know, I'm new. New or not, find someone who does know the answers. While on the phone with this associate she seemed very rushed to get off the phone. I'm not sure if associates get points/ commission for getting people off the phone fast but answering the customers questions should be priority. The associate also used language that was accusatory like "well since you don't want to create a password" which was not the case, I physically could not create a password, hence my phone call. If you have people who can not answer questions at least require them to have common sense and some semblance of curtesy. I'm happy to have questions that help someone become better at their job and am willing to work through it with them spending more time if the individual is patient and willing to learn. This will better help people with the same problem in the future rather than someone feeding me the line I'm new and rushing through everything. My email was entered incorrectly despite telling her twice and reading it back. She then said If I have any further issues to call back. I asked her to remain on the line while I login as I spent 30 minutes on the phone already. (This is how I knew she entered my information incorrectly). I am not sure how the actual system works as I have not yet been able to sign in due to an issue with my primary care physician entering my social incorrectly but the customer service is a real concern.

Susan T Petronella   3 years ago

Every time I try to get into My Chart it keeps saying invalid I have spoken to a few people over the phone and they got me into it. But it never saves my password. It's a very poor set up for patients. Super irritating. Why doesn't it save your Information so you can just sign in and not have to go through the whole process over and over and over again.

Daniel Werman   3 years ago

Horrible site. Most of my blood test and previous test results are missing. I hope my doctor can pull the up. Tried to make an appointment with my current urologist on line I couldn't even pull up the hospital where the practice is. No search function either. Very frustrating.

Cj   3 years ago

Terrible app, if your doctor sends any link after you check in it is on a different tab. No notification appears for thses messages. Confusing process. Link should be provided after check in. Misleading message says a link will be sent but doesn't tell you where. Check in process is a joke if it doesn't actually set you up with anything.

This is the most convoluted system I have ever had to deal with. I'm supposed to be able to make an appointment to get my second dose of COVID vaccine but there are no appointments available, ever. How is this a medical system? I called and spoke to a woman who had no idea how to help me. What country is this again? god only knows.
