Kashoo Cloud Accounting Reviews

We loved KashooCloudAccounting, how it worked on our phones and tablets and it all worked together seamlessly. And ya ya the price went up a while ago but I don’t mind paying for a good and working product. That’s in the past. Possibly after iOS 14, the mobile app absolutely won’t sync. Entered invoices in KashooCloudAccounting , then they are marked as unpaid. KashooCloudAccounting will not accept input. It will not sync, it will just crash every single time I try and sync or enter an invoice. Only way around this is to enter invoices online using the web browser side of things, delete the mobile app and then re-download everything onto my phone or iPad. Seriously?? Did something happen to your server or your cloud hosting service?

I couldn’t imagine running my business without Kashoo! But now I’m going to.

I just received notification that the service will be going from a $50/yearly invoicing to a $200/yearly invoicing. Of course they’ll be adding new snazzy features. But since I run a very tiny business, I don’t need anything else but the basics. And since $200 makes a significant impact on my families’ income, I’m looking elsewhere for a financial organization method. However, it may just come down to an excel situation (a $50 discount!) and a little more time invested in my quarterly and yearly reports.

Could Kashoo perhaps make a “small-er business” option?? Where it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but the basics are still available (invoicing, expense tracking, P&L reports and the like) where it would cost a lower amount. Doesn’t even have to be $50. Could be more like $75. I get prices rise...but $200??!! Just a thought.

I am sad to be leaving Kashoo as I have loved using your very user friendly program! But the cost just outweighs the needs.

I own an apartment rental and used Kashoo on my iPad mini since Jan 2014. Love the convenience of recording anytime while on the go. Knowing that your records are backed up online helps you feel secure. I can also sync and use from my other iPad. It's simple and not complicated. Producing financial statements are easy for tax purposes. Update: I am ditching KashooCloudAccounting. My subscription tripled in price, from $99 to $324 and I wasn’t advise of renewal, my card was just charged. No answer on calls. I will switch to another accounting app.

Used it for about 4 years at $49 per year. They just billed us $200 for the next year. No advance notice and changing mid month mid year. A pretty low approach and a bit of a sneaky maneuver. Customer service has gone downhill continuously over this time. The program has a number of bugs and you have to spend a lot of time figuring out workarounds. Their credit card processing sometimes works sometimes not. Bank data import works on a spotty basis. Dropping this like a hot potato.

I've been using Kashoo for over a year and have few complaints. It's easy to add new entries of income and expenses. Viewing items according to category is helpful and simple to navigate. The new receipt uploading feature is a huge plus, although I still upload a duplicate to Dropbox, because I don't trust that Kashoo will be around in five years if I need a copy of a receipt. It would be nice if there was a way to automatically link receipts to Dropbox or something similar to put them all in the same place in the Cloud.
Update:Two issues that need to be corrected: when creating a new invoice, inputting the price resets to $0 unless you do it AFTER you input the payment amount. Also, I just noticed a duplicate invoice (that I did not intentionally create) so deleted one of them. The result was that both entries were deleted and the copy of the uploaded receipt was lost...so as it turns out, saving a copy of receipts to Dropbox is a good idea.

For some reason, database 2.0, which is the database that you were create as a new customer, or not supported. They do not tell you this. I started using cashew so they could use it on my iPad and my iPhone while I was out working. This is not helpful to most of us.

I cannot stand this new app. Yeah, it’s minimal all right. I use my phone to run my business and and KashooCloudAccounting has taken away all the functionality. If I could revert I would. Horrible

I have used Kashoo the past 3-4 years and loved their services, but had to leave because of their substantial increase in price. I can’t justify the price with owning such a small business.

Downloaded when it was free. Worked fine.
Stayed with it when they charged $5 / mo.
Now they TRIPLED THE PRICE. What no tiers? Not reasonable for a small business like mine.
I feel suckered. Now they have years of my books and I gotta walk away. I bet they were banking on holding ppl hostage over years of records.
Simple google search reveals other competitors at a MUCH better price, doing the same thing.

New update crashes...support is poor. I would not recommend this product.

I have used Quickbooks in the past, and vowed I would never do my own accounting ever again. That is until I found Kashoo. I use FreshBooks for invoicing, and when I saw Kashoo integrates FB invoices, I was intrigued. Boy was I shocked at how easy Kashoo was to use. I understand accounting from a pedestrian standpoint, but seeing instantly which accounts are affected when you enter a transaction is extremely helpful. Also when you mess up, you can go back and correct the mistake. I remember in QB you had to void out data...major hassle. Bonus points go for cloud storage. No worrying about lost data.

Now about the iPad app...I LOVE it! It gives you amazing visual detail of the info you enter in on the desktop site. It also allows you to create and edit invoices, email them out, and record all the transactions you would see on your dashboard.

If you are an independent consultant like me, I highly recommend using Kashoo as your accounting solution.

This is a great accounting app for small businesses. As I started using an iPad as my main computer now KashooCloudAccounting is indispensable. I've entered a years worth of accounting and it works well. I haven't had problems with crashing like other reviews. There are some bugs, mainly with entering invoices, and the way the income shows in other accounts. But they can be fixed by going into the the web interface. I much prefer KashooCloudAccounting interface and dashboard over the web version. There are some functions like clearing available on the web version that would be nice to have in KashooCloudAccounting . Overall a very nice app with a good interface with only a few bugs.

I own 2 companies w employees in different parts of the country. Until recently we struggled w Quikbooks. I'm an avid Apple user and hated QB's lack of support for the Mac version. I even bought the Windows version and Paralells just to run QB. This was an expensive mistake. When I found Kashoo it was still very new. I was clumsy at first in using it but soon found that it more than met our business needs. Technical support has been wonderful and seems to genuinely care about customer satisfaction. It took a couple of months to transfer all records to Kashoo, and it is still a little slower in data entry features but the structure is sound and does what it is supposed to do. I recommend it over QB after having used that non-intuitive Intuit product for over 11 years. No regrets. My instincts tell me that it will continue to get better over time.

I am a small business owner and try to do my own bookkeeping. We are a Mac/iPad based business and were very disappointed with the Mac and other online offerings from Intuit. They were expensive and Quickbooks Mac is just, well... sad.

I was looking for an easy to use solution that was iPad friendly and came across Kashoo. I have been very happy with KashooCloudAccounting and even happier with the support. They always return questions on the same day and even answer my incredibly dumb ones quickly and efficiently. KashooCloudAccounting itself is a joy. Being able to take pictures of receipts and invoices and attach them to specific transactions has virtually eliminated a paperwork.

I hope they keep,improving the product regularly and come up with innovations I can't even dream if. Great product... I completely recommend it!

I've tried Quickbooks online (app and software was weak, buggy, over priced). I loved PocketMoney on my iPad but it had serious issues syncing. Kashoo is elegantly designed and intuitive to use for non-accountants. It syncs very well so far. I had a great experience with support on questions about first time set-up.

I wasn't in the market for it, but I discovered that Kashoo is a whiz at financial statements. I was so excited to generate P&L and balance sheet statements so painlessly. It's the only software I've found on my research that combines virtual sync capabilities, great iPad app interface, friendly user interface and a powerful array of reports.

This is the best app I ever downloded... Seriously... I'm quite dumb in the accounting area and have been trying to understand quickbooks for years without any success... I don't have many transactions per month so paying someone to do the books is really a waste for me, but it was what I had to do unil now...

Downloaded KashooCloudAccounting , signed up for the trial and started the company from january ... Dowloaded bak statements and started reconciling...now 2 days later everything is done and matching with the balance sheets the accountant sent me... For me that have no knowledge of accounting ..it's like magic

Very easy to use, great pricing and the best cstomer service.. Any doubt i had during the process i would chat live on their web app and resolve... Very very happy with it!

Love that I can take photos of receipts with my phone! I've had no issues getting things to sync across my phone & desktop as another has reported. It's great for my small business and I can log my spending and categorize it as I go. Would be nice to have a way to create my own categories when I log my expenses. If it's there I can't figure out how to do it. Overall, it's a really complex system that's relatively simple to learn how to use on all platforms with not too many friction points. I'd recommend it for small businesses! Worth the money...

Ok, maybe my title is an exaggeration, but at least relative to using Quickbooks, Kashoo is much more enjoyable. I really like Kashoo's online accounting and their new app makes it that much more accessible. Their app is so well done, fully functional...amazing work, Kashoo, especially considering it's just been released. I can now do the bulk of my accounting work for my farm and meat business on my speedy, portable ipad, instead of my clunky old windows laptop.

Seriously, give Kashoo online a try, it's so much cheaper than Quickbooks online, and works better. Quickbooks online is barely functional with the ipad.

Really easy to use. I hate(d) bookkeeping for my business and so it was something I procrastinated on until it was a real chore. KashooCloudAccounting has changed that part of my life. The only change I'd suggest so far is to add a "forgot password?" button on the iPad sync page. If you forget it, you have to go to the website and hunt around for the link. Still, it's the best $4.99 I've ever spent

I love this program. My wife and I are both employed outside the home but live and manage a small farm. Kashoo has been an excellent way for us to keep records for our CPA to manage our Schedule F on the tax return. I agree this is a simpler program than others. But for the person who is just starting out or who, like me, needs an easy to navigate program for a business that is a relatively small part of how I spend my time, it is perfect. And if the farm grows, I have no doubt Kashoo will still meet my needs.
