iTunes Movie Trailers Reviews

I like the trailers functionality itself but the feature which would be most helpful is the favorites feature where you can save a movie you want to see for later but this has never worked for me on iPhone. I can add movies to favorites but can never retrieve them. I just get the spinny icon like it is trying to update but it never does. This has been happening for years over all three of my iPhones. Apparently Apple does not test this feature or you would think they would have found that out. I would absolutely love iTunesMovieTrailers if this worked.

I love iTunesMovieTrailers and have used it for many years, but there is ALWAYS some sort of bug that prevents me from using iTunesMovieTrailers correctly. The content is usually way behind the times in terms of other trailers already out. The search function is absolutely useless…does not even show a single livid when searching anything. Lastly, the one thing that could make iTunesMovieTrailers better would be an AppleTV+ integration that would allow me to watch my favorites movies through the AppleTV app.

I love to use iTunesMovieTrailers for ad free trailers. Unfortunately the experience is ruined when viewing on Apple’s own iPad Pro models. Since iTunesMovieTrailers hasn’t been update in 2 years there are black bars all over the sides because the new screen format, which is over a year old, isn’t supported. Please update iTunesMovieTrailers , Apple!

Probably from around the time of covid when you go to the search option and search something whether you type it or use Siri it will not display whatever you search. Then when searching movie times it will bring up the theaters around me BUT it will not display any times and that is either on the Apple TV or on the iPhone. Assuming they have not updated anything for awhile!

I literally cannot see why people are having issues with iTunesMovieTrailers. Everything seems to be running smoothly for me, at least.

iTunesMovieTrailers used to be my go to movie trailer destination, for its superior quality trailers, and Apple polish. Unfortunately, the later part of that statement is missing now, with no updates in over a year, even with major upgrades in Apple’s own iPhone and iPad hardware. Apple, if you read any of these reviews, please do us a solid, and update this once great app to support HDR and new 2018 iPad screen resolutions. Thanks!

Don't really use it a lot. More or less just to check out new movies being released soon or on the future. I put a lot of movies in my favorites list. Giving my rating of two stars because when I try to bring up my favorites list to view, I see nothing but a blank screen. No point in having s favorites option if you're not able to view it.

So they added a favorites for Movies and Theaters but there’s no way of adding movies to it… LOL is this a joke?

Fix this asap as it would be helpful to keep movies in a favorites tab to stay organized with what movies I’d like to watch next!

iTunesMovieTrailers is great, but needs more improvement.

I noticed that in iTunesMovieTrailers that the Tom & Jerry movie is showing the wrong date for the in theaters date as it says that it is releasing on March 5, 2021 when it is actually releasing on February 26, 2021 so I am hoping that the in theaters date could be updated for the movie Tom & Jerry

This once great app seems to be abandoned. New theaters cannot be found on the map, can’t seem to favorite movies, and showings are not showing for me at all. When clicking te In Theaters tab only 2 movies show up at all. For NYC, this is totally wrong. Theaters have been mostly open for most of the year and iTunesMovieTrailers seems to be stuck in 2020.

Apple, please give Trailers some love.

What was once a
Beautiful hidden gem of an app has now lost its luster. The show time feature was the best part of iTunesMovieTrailers. No nonsense and accurate info. So bummed it's not being updated. I hope the likely single Engineer up in Apple corporate still is part of the company and is able to update iTunesMovieTrailers once again.

iTunesMovieTrailers has a clean interface and it's never been easier to see when showtimes are actually happening and visually seeing the movie length.

App hasn’t been updated in 4 years. They have a handful of movies but big name trailers (including all MCU movies) are missing. Search function doesn’t work at all. App is basically useless now, which is sad bc in high school I would use it weekly. Came back to apple after having 2 androids to find this is one of the apps no longer supported…

It would be nice if the trailer can play one after the next automatically instead of going to the Apple remote every time to go through trailers, there should be an option for that

I was using an older version of iTunesMovieTrailers which had an option of playing the trailers in SD or HD format. I just updated to the latest version of iTunesMovieTrailers and now I no longer see this option. Does anyone else also face this issue ?

Not sure why it cannot find all of the theaters that used to show up, we have several nearby. Updated from a 5S to SE phone and now I only get 1 theatre that’s 30-40 minutes drive away from where I live ... guess I’ll delete iTunesMovieTrailers and reinstall 😐

Good app BUT doesn’t list all movies currently being shown in local theaters. Example: Pacific Rim was released last week and is playing at Myrtle Beach theaters but is not listed at any of these locations. Thus iTunesMovieTrailers is not a reliable source for determining where and/or when to see a film.

I love iTunesMovieTrailers . I just can’t figure out why they make the type so darn small. There is so much space available, they can triple the size of the type and still have plenty of space left over. I have a gigantic iPad and I can barely read the copy.

Neat, clean interface for finding, previewing, finding reviews, and show times for new movies.

I really wish this had auto play with options to that auto play. Auto play a genre of movie trailers. Auto play your favorite trailers. There are many times I wish I had this feature on my Apple TV running in the background.

I’ve used iTunesMovieTrailers forever. But every time I do, it makes me mad. I don’t give iTunesMovieTrailers permission to track my location (why would it need to know my exact location, anyway), so instead I just saved the 4 or 5 theaters I frequent in my favorites. So... there’s the movies, there’s the theaters they’re playing at... perfect. Now why in the world, when I press the movie I want to see showtimes, in the theater I’m looking at, under my favorites, does it make me search for theaters around me to view the showtimes?!?!

It’s so damned frustrating and it’s always been like that! I’m almost positive it’s just their way to almost force you to give them location track permissions. At the VERY LEAST, save my last location search. All just asinine. Thanks Apple.

Everything about iTunesMovieTrailers is great, but it’s got problems that whoever updates it or adds things to it, seemingly hasn’t noticed as of yet unfortunately. In the section called “Calendar” many of the runtimes for movies listed there are incorrect and that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Also, It would be great if a section was added on iTunesMovieTrailers with HD versions of the trailers on there.

iTunesMovieTrailers created by Apple was only given a narrow bandwidth leaving Apple trailer servers... this is why you’ve seen buffering trailers that take five minutes to watch a one minute trailer.

Today, 19 June 2019, years later with no fix for the low bandwidth issue is an “Accessing Trailers” message with an infinite loop wheel of death.

Apple continues to fail and shows no sign of correcting programming errors. Why should they... programming errors are finding their Apple Care plan coffers!

Hello Appel developer: trailers app. Some movie trailers
I try to save on save as a favorite but they don't even though the trailers are in iTunesMovieTrailers . Exemple parasite 2019.
Also sometimes it takes weeks till iTunesMovieTrailers can register a trailer as a favorite! Any solution or suggestions?

It possible to have the movie Missing 1982 with jack lemon on I tune movie to rent. I could not find it to rent.

iTunesMovieTrailers has been around for a few years now. Why have you not implemented ticket purchasing through Apple Pay yet??? Everything else is there . Would certainly get 5 stars if done . For now it is just half baked. I have to use Fandango instead.

If you are trying to find the movie trailers from late 2010-early 2012, they have been removed by Apple. This is likely to keep iTunesMovieTrailers from feeling old. If you want to see trailers for pre-2012 movies, try TrailerAddict. Their selection goes back to 2007, and also includes some classic trailers.

Something has occurred where the movie info ( time, cinema etc) no lingers works. iTunesMovieTrailers does not show all of the info from all the theaters around me. What happened?

If u notice this complaint is a recurrent one mentioned in the reviews.
