I love HomeScouting and how updated it is. It’s HomeScouting that was recommended by our mortgage lender. With that being said, I think it could use some drastic changes. I often can’t get it to load; it’ll freeze while trying to load the home screen. This is nearly every time I try to access it. Sometimes it’ll prompt me saying my user name/password is incorrect yet they are saved to HomeScouting and nothing changed. I’ve noticed that not all of the available properties show up on the map, even with no filters. Sometimes zooming way in to see individual streets will bring more up or other times you have to search for a specific MLS#. I’ve found properties on other apps that were not on this one until I put in the MLS# to search then it’ll pop up. It’s very frustrating.

Zillow is great, but it's slow to update and not always accurate. HomeScouting is great! I was able to keep an eye on the market for a year before I was ready to buy, so I knew where to focus my search. Also, when a realtor tried to tell me there was nothing available in my price range, and tried to get me to go above it, I knew it wasn't true and I needed to find a different realtor.

The biggest issue with home search sites is the "user friendly" side of it. I've been through so many fighting with a site to get it what I want it to do. This site is perfect, super easy and allows me to search everything on the market. Love it! (No this isn't a fake review, I'm just so happy to have HomeScouting!)

What a great app! My mortgage broker recommended HomeScouting to me and I'm SO glad that he did - it gives me access to a lot more listings that the other real estate apps do. I love the fact that I can look on my time without having to wait for the real estate agent to do it for me. Highly recommended!

Love that I can see real MLS info without having to contact a Realtor! I love Realtors and plan to use one but before I'm serious I don't want to waste their time. This allows me to see what's there and look at areas before I actually reach out to a professional to make something happen!

Per our realtor- this website updates first with homes, pending sales, etc and then it trickles down to the other home buying sites. It's a little harder to navigate but I still prefer it over other apps.

HomeScouting is so easy to use. Provides street level views of homes and historic information that makes this a must use. I hope the developer will continue to develop HomeScouting.

Works smooth and has a really easy to navigate menu. It also allows me to widen and narrow the search greatly. A must have if you're looking to buy a house.

I really like knowing that in all likelihood what you see here is still available. It would be a huge improvement, though, if you could open the pictures and then be able to zoom in on them.

We've been thinking about moving back to the area and HomeScouting is terrific for doing some long distance browsing! Easy to use, too.

This site is very precise, type in what your wanting and that’s what will show up. You can make changes and save the findings that you like.

Very useful and up to date app. I must say it's much more reliable with the latest info than other home buying apps.

I like HomeScouting. It allows me to view listing on the fly. There is still room for improvement but it would do the trick for now. Happy 😊

Pro: Good search features and accurate listings

Con: Interface feels dated/clunky, and when looking at properties through the Map view, the locations are not accurate (pins are now where they should be).
