Movie player window

I really love the possibilities of GospelMedia, downloading movies , making playlists, etc. however, when you go to play a movie, the floating window that comes up ( and in full screen mode) is very temperamental. It is so sensitive that if you go to hit touch anything ( eg pause or rewind, etc) GospelMedia thinks you want to stop watching that particular video and closes the window. You are left to go start the movie over...it doesn’t kick back up where you left off.
This is painful if watching a long movie and wanting to pause or if children accidentally touch the screen - the movie goes away and you are back on the browse screen. Starting the movie over and fast forwarding is a nightmare since it is so sensitive and often jumps you back to the browse window as well.

If you could just fix this one issue GospelMedia would be great! It shouldn’t be something sensitive and maybe ask if you want to end the movie. It would be lovely to have it also ask if you want to pick up where you left off.

Video download is hit-or-miss

Several times, I am able to find a video and play it OK, but if I then try to download it for offline playing then it fails and tells me to check my internet connection, even though it’s working 100% for every other application, and even for the Gospel Media app in all other cases

I specifically need to be able to download so that during a Sunday School lesson I don’t have to rely on the meetinghouse Internet, which can be slow and cause playback issues when streaming.

The Gospel Media app doesn’t give me any further details of why it won’t download. It just doesn’t ! This is incredible frustrating. It seems that the problem occurs with some videos, but not others. This suggests maybe a problem with the URL that’s being used “behind the scenes”. Strangely, streaming playback always seems to work. Double frustration !

If I go to the Media Library website, I can watch the videos e.g. in Chrome, and I can download the videos by copying the URL to VLC Player. But really, I shouldn’t have to use this “hack” !

Gospel Media is AMAZING!!!

I love GospelMedia SO MUCH! Even without presentation mode, I’d still love it because it allows you to view all of the media on the website. I also love that you can easily download media, and even more easily remove it off your device when you don’t need it anymore. Now I don’t need any videos downloaded on Gospel Library with this amazing app.

Saves me every lesson!

Out meetinghouse wi-fi is really unreliable in our classroom - all that cinderblock! I was struggling with showing videos that would buffer and stop in the middle. Once I found GospelMedia I’ve never had trouble! The library is searchable and downloads are easy to do and the option to organize by topic folders that I create is a bonus! Thank you! And blessings heaped upon your heads for this!

Can’t see picture full screen

There is no quick way (that I have figured out) to tap on a picture and see it full screen on my iPad. The only way I have figured out how to do this is by adding it to a playlist, then going into the playlist to view the picture.

There are so many times where I would love to be able to quickly pull up a painting to show my children, but for now, this isn’t possible.

Downloaded content has to be re-downloaded sometimes

Thank you for GospelMedia. It is a huge help in my lessons. I have used it for 3 or 4 lessons now. I have found that at least 1 video in each lesson so far, when I go to play the video it shows it as not downloaded (even though I downloaded it before going to church). I have to hope the video completes downloading on the Church WiFi or spotty cell network.

Love it and would love to see further improvement

This is a great new app. I absolutely love all the features. I have a few suggestions. I would like the option to add my own media. I would also like to be able to add links to scriptures that can be shown on screen.

Fantastic... Great update! Fixed the Temperamental Video Playback

This is a fantastic app. In this latest release, they’ve fixed the buggy/temperamental video playback.

If you haven’t explored GospelMedia lately, you need to browse around. They have TONS of media for children, youth, and adults!

Ditto

It definitely would be so much nicer and faster to download with just one keystroke. Pics are beautiful, but access is not. Thank you to all of you! As always—with respect and gratitude to all who have worked on GospelMedia. :):):)!!! L.

Faith-building, inspiring

Lots of videos about Jesus Christ and disciples of Him. I’m grateful for GospelMedia. Also has lots of images and stories of believers. Good for when you want to have pictures or songs to accompany your scripture study.

Lacking desperately

I love the possibility of GospelMedia and the concepts. However, every time I try to open up anything from it, it crashes. I haven’t been able to use it in weeks. I teach Young Women’s and it’s so frustrating when I should be able to make a video presentation and it ends up crashing and we can’t use it. The same goes for studying with my kids. I hope they get it fixed because I think it could be such a great tool.

Love

Love using GospelMedia. I use it often for seminary. It is great to make a playlist and already downloaded to go right when I need it without the worry of connection or speed of internet. Love the variety of topics and personal stories.

It won’t let me watch anything.

I had GospelMedia as a missionary, and it was an amazing tool to have to help with investigators visually, I recently downloaded GospelMedia and when I attempted to play any videos, it kicked me out of GospelMedia . GospelMedia has the potential of being five stars cause it truly is an awesome app, but it just needs to be fixed👍🏼

Lost menu bar

I have been using GospelMedia for my Sunday School lessons. I have GospelMedia on my phone and iPad. I signed in to have sharing across devices. Now the menu for settings and my media is missing from my phone. This is a problem, since my lesson is in the media and I can no longer access it.

Too Complicated

I want to be able to click on a picture and have it show full screen on my iPad. I don't want to have to add it to a playlist first. Let me download all the pictures at once so I have them. GospelMedia makes you plan in advance on what you want to show. Just let me download the pictures easily with one click.

Good but...

I wish it supported just regular mirroring onto TVs instead of just chrome cast.

Great resource

I love this new app, I feel like previously the church has been very bad at organizing its own digital content. This is a step in the right direction

Chromecast compatible

I’m so grateful to have a way directly from the Church sites to use Chromecast!

Wow

GospelMedia is getting exciting! We can trim videos before showing to a class!

I love it but it has room for improvement

I love GospelMedia. It is so cool that you can make a playlist with images and videos. I think it would be better if you didn't have to exit out of an image or a video to be able to go to the next one. I want to be able to go from one to the next like a PowerPoint. Other than that this is such an amazing app. There is so much content and it will make teaching lessons much more entertaining and effective.
