Focus on the Family App Reviews

I enjoy listening to Focus on the Family, but have had issues with FocusontheFamilyApp. I am having to delete FocusontheFamilyApp and reinstall for the third time in about a year. It does not update with the most recent Podcasts after a while. It just gets stuck and then I delete and reinstall. I occasionally go to the website to listen, but it’s not as convenient as FocusontheFamilyApp . Please update FocusontheFamilyApp so it can be more enjoyable and user-friendly.

I am an ardent supporter of Focus, and they have provided me with incredibly valuable information over the years. I am forever indebted. FocusontheFamilyApp has had issues over the past few months. It will work for approximately 3 days and then will not load new content. It requires deletion and reloading.

I am having issues where FocusontheFamilyApp won’t load on my iPhone, but it does on my Samsung Galaxy.
As for the content, I absolutely recommend FocusontheFamilyApp if you wish to enhance your relationships with your children, spouse, or God. Great teaching from a non-judgmental standpoint, and deep insights that approach issues much deeper than the surface. Praise God for Focus On The Family!

Excellent godly advice and counsel, great organization but FocusontheFamilyApp needs a lot of work. I just deleted it because I listened to five broadcasts and two of them, about halfway through stopped playing suddenly. I re-initiated play and it started over with no way to fast forward to where I was. So you’re better off listening to it online or maybe via Podcasts if that’s available so you can fast forward and reverse at your leisure.

Just want to give a heads up for anybody, like me, who had their app stuck! I thought because of the quarantine that Focus on the Family was not adding new broadcasts- my app was stuck in March. Today I deleted FocusontheFamilyApp and then reloaded it. Happy to say I am now on May!!! I have a LOT of catching up to do. God bless and keep you all.

5 stars for content! Unfortunately issues with loading new episodes ... this is a recent problem, as it wasn’t happening a couple months ago, but seems to be ongoing now. It is a bit of a hassle to delete and reinstall. Would appreciate a fix! :)

I love listening to Focus on the Family. And I was glad when they created FocusontheFamilyApp but there are issues with FocusontheFamilyApp , as follows: it logs me out every time to a point that it gets so tiresome, Today’s Broadcast sometimes doesn’t refresh on its own and sometimes when I want to listen to an old broadcast it still plays the most recent one (Today’s Broadcast). I’m hoping these issues get fixed.

Love FocusontheFamilyApp! Listen to it daily but for the past few months have had troubles with it loading. I’ve had to delete FocusontheFamilyApp multiple times and then it will work for that day but then won’t load new content again. Love FocusontheFamilyApp so I’m hoping they can fix the glitch soon!

I really love FocusontheFamilyApp for the content! However I find myself always having to delete and reload FocusontheFamilyApp as it gives error messages and won’t add new content. Love the content hope the bug can be fixed

I’ve reinstalled FocusontheFamilyApp many times hoping it will work. It tells me the credentials are invalid when I try to sign in. Yet it’s the same email and password I use to purchase books from the website. I then push the forgot password button but i never have received an email to change a password even in the junk mail. I’d really like to be able to use FocusontheFamilyApp so I can download the programs and listen while driving. Thank you

I love the podcast and the topics. However, in recent weeks, I get constant error messages. I have to delete FocusontheFamilyApp and reload it. That fixes it temporarily but then it happens again. This has happened on multiple versions of iOS. Not sure if this is a design flaw or an issue with the podcast platform.

I’m also having lots of trouble getting new app to update. Programs stuck in June. Not enjoying my day off work today. I know how to log out and back in now. Slide all the way to the right to settings. Log out and then log back in. Thanks FOF .

I just went two days (again) where I was not able to open FocusontheFamilyApp and access any message. I shut off my phone and restarted. I deleted FocusontheFamilyApp and reloaded (did this twice) to no avail. I’ll keep trying because I value the content that much. Please improve FocusontheFamilyApp.

I love content, speakers, and hosts are always on point... but this newer version is not as practical as the last one. Not as clear to move to different functions, not even sure I know all the functions yet. This version is too big and consuming versus the other one that was more clear and concise. I may delete it I don’t care for it that much.

The wisdom from topics and speakers has helped us raise 3 strong daughters and is helping with our relationship to 5 grandchildren and life’s transition to retirement. The Lord’s mightily blessed this ministry and will bless you for taking the time to listen, learn and apply.

Would definitely give a Five star rating if FocusontheFamilyApp gets fixed. It doesn't update and have to uninstall and reinstall to get updated broadcasts.

UPDATE:: it’s been a month and STILL no update. I loved FocusontheFamilyApp. I loved listening when I’m in the car driving to work or when I have free time in the evening. I don’t love that I have to delete FocusontheFamilyApp daily then reinstall because of a media error which does not load any new context or allow you to listen to whatever is current. Very disappointed that this isn’t monitored better.

With the older version I never had an issue. Now frequently I get errors when trying to load the most recent episodes and I have to delete FocusontheFamilyApp , reload it and hope it has the updated episodes. I love having FocusontheFamilyApp , I just wished it worked as well as the first version.

I hate FocusontheFamilyApp. It locks up and freezes. It will sometimes not update to the current day. Sometimes it just does and closes. I have to uninstall and reinstall it to make it work. Then it works for while and stops.

I have an iPhone X.

I’m really sorry. If I didn’t love the program so much o wouldn’t keep doing this.

I used the Apple app for at least a month and had high reviews. Unfortunately after a new iPhone 13.7 update I cannot no longer use FOTF app. Tried calling FOTF for technical support but no one available to help other than recommending deleting and powering phone off and on. Unfortunately that doesn’t fix the problem.

In the three plus years I have used FocusontheFamilyApp I have had to remove it and reload it at least six times, most recently this week.
So FocusontheFamilyApp disappoints but the teaching and marriage ministry totally inspires me.
Great interviews, great practical advise and very inspiring teaching. I listen everyday on the way to work. It helps keep me focused.

I keep randomly getting an error message saying “unable to reach host”. This occurs when connected to WiFi and when not connected to WiFi. Love the messages just wish FocusontheFamilyApp worked better

I have deleted and re-downloaded FocusontheFamilyApp many times after if stops updating the daily programs. I get notifications still thst I can listen to today’s broadcast but when I go to app it’s not there along with weeks work of listening. Love the programs, app needs help.

I’m so sorry. I love Focus and I won’t delete, will keep trying but this new version isn’t better. In fact I can’t listen to the broadcast for the last few days. I hope you guys are able to resolve whatever the problem is. And thank you for all your hard work and mission
