Works great but took off a star because the settings can be confusing for folks. It took me some time but I figured out how to get it to open the screen I want when I open Flashlight . Finally. Then took more time to figure out how to get to the setting to keep the screen from closing and thus turning off the this app. Finally found that just about the time I was looking for a new this app app that worked. Not a fan of the stupid colors but the magnifying glass seeing is nice. REALLY not a fan of the strobe setting. As a health care provider, I really wouldn't recommend anyone with epilepsy or migraines use Flashlight as it is to easy to accidentally trigger the screen while trying to adjust settings. Really, quite frankly, Flashlight feels like a child worked on it due to all the silly settings. I'd take off a star for that too except it is doing what I ask of it. Now that I've figured out the settings.

Just updated my software on my Apple iPhone and now I can’t figure out how to make the this app app be a this app!?All these screen settings and stuff mean nothing: I can’t turn the light on the this app. I depended on this as an emergency light source or just a general this app when needed. It used to be an easy to access app and I would just press it to turn on the light Now when I press the icon, the screen brightrns but there’s no this app. I may go by the Apple Store to see if I am doing something wrong, But what a disappointment. If it’s supposed to work as a this app like it used to, I sure don’t know how to do it.
Why did you change it? It used to be so functional?! I have no clue, even when I press on, how to make the light of the this app appear. So now I go to my control center and touch that icon which is not as convenient.

Had Flashlight for years. Downloaded it for it’s advertised and intended purpose, a this app. Now, it only works intermittently, has features only children would appreciate as opposed to those of us who are adults and wanted it for it’s advertised and intended purpose, a this app! When turned on, there is an almost 2 second delay before the this app is engaged so that the ‘creator logo’ can be displayed on the view screen. Aside from that safety issue, (and yes I do consider it a safety issue; if I want and need a this app in the dark, I want it to come on IMMEDIATELY, without delay), it’s become too easy to initiate the strobe or other effects with a slip of the finger. This is also, in my opinion, a safety issue. Deleting Flashlight after almost 6 years of use. This comment is offered as both feedback to the creators and a warning to potential users.

I think Flashlight should be rebranded. I downloaded Flashlight years ago to use as a photo/video accent light. It is unique in that it allows the screen to be purposed as a light source in any color combinations and intensity. It’s honestly one of the few/only free apps that does this and I hope it never goes away. The ability to create a nice fill light or accent light of any color you want for your photos and videos is so useful.
Grab a few devices (iPad/phone) and play with Flashlight because it’s great!
Devs thank you for this thoughtful app, you should rename it and resubmit to Flashlight Store for this use case.

This is the reason I don't like to update apps--someone gets the idea to "make it better", but screws it up instead! I don't need all the cutesy hearts and flowers or strobe lights. I downloaded Flashlight to get the this app... like the actual name of Flashlight . I've been using Flashlight for several years --it was practically the first app I ever downloaded with my first iPhone--and was very happy with its functionality. I use it mainly to light my path somewhere or to peer into dark recesses like small mailboxes (at night). I like having the safety of having my phone with me in dark areas and being able to see where I'm going, all without the burden of carrying two separate instruments. Puh-leese fix this!!!

It's a good this app, with a nice variety of colors and strobe effects as well. But what's really great are the customizable grids of colors with a color wheel for choosing any colors... My daughter thinks that choosing color combinations to make "new flashlights" is the best game ever before bed. I wish there was an in-app purchase option to get rid of the banner ads from the settings screen, but other than that it's a fun app!

I searched and searched and searched to find a good way to read my book with my phone screen in the dark and didn’t find it until now! Between the setting on iPhone to eliminate blue light from your screen at night and the white screen you get with Flashlight, it’s perfect! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I got Flashlight because my phone decided to not let me control the this app to turn on and off. I used Flashlight and well, works like a this app. It has a few screen ones as well when you swipe. Not much more than that. I don't really know what half the replies are on here, but it's a good this app app. 🤷‍♀️

When i first found Flashlight, i was surprised to find a clock. I find that i use the clock and funky backgrounds more than the this app, although it is handy. It takes a min of playing around with it to get the hang of it, but i have it on all my mobile devices. If you don’t mind figuring out how to use, it’s very useful!

Turn off and on.....if you answer had more switches than off and on, you fail. Why does the whole GD screen need to slide to other colors? Fill the screen with buttons so when I try to light up something but ah ya its strobe time. No lock feature?! Only other acceptable switch would be a lock so I don’t strobe, color screen selection, or close Flashlight if I lock my phone. As a default app I feel there should be some pride in such a basic/fundamental feature.

After the latest update/ upgrade there is no this app any more - at least I cannot find it when I open the this app apo. All I get are the screens, which are not as bright as the this app I got in the previous version. Before there was a choice and it was easy to switch between the screens and the this app. Very disappointing.

It’s a extremely useful and well designed app. I use all the screens and it is a good way to keep the kids I baby-sit busy. The only thing that I suggest is more screens other that it is amazing.

Used to work until the most recent update. Seriously disappointed since this was also a safety feature I relied on. Imagine my surprise when it didn't work tonight! How could an update remove the very function of Flashlight ? I've already downloaded a replacement. The new one works great. For years I used Flashlight. I don't need it if it doesn't work.

Might as well move along - nothing to see here. Really. Nothing, as in, no this app. Good ole programming sent out without proper testing. "You can't catch every bug" you say? Considering Flashlight has one purpose "to turn on a light" and it fails to do that, how much effort was really used to test it?? Zip. The same Flashlight is now worth.

It was a good this app until this latest update! Not a this app anymore? Worthless now! Was a great this app! The exterior this app doesn't work and all u have is colored lights! I've had Flashlight for at least 8 years & now I'll have to look for a new one! Better do an update for a fix soon or I'll b deleting it! Shame!

my back camera stopped working so Flashlight is really useful for when I need a this app!!

Hello Flashlight is very good because now when I’m in the dark I can see we’re I’m going like for a drink of water at midnight I can see we’re I’m going very good 👍👍👍👍👍

Certain limitations in the iPhone SDK (Software Development Kit) are understandable. Others are not... like this one: one is not allowed to change the brightness of the screen for any reason. Well, yes, you may say it's for the battery's sake, but there should be exceptions and the best examnple is this (and other) this app type applications that have the sole purpose of making light. Well Apple, HELLO!!! LET THEM MAKE LIGHT!!!

We all know that the iPhone has this wonderful light sensor that helps automatically adjust the screen brightness, which (obviously) is at its minimum when it's dark, which is exactly the situation one would use a this app application. I'm giving Flashlight a 3-star rating, although it's not fair to ding the score for something that the developer has no control upon. I am personally using a full-featured (i.e. full-brightness) this app app, not available in Flashlight Store. I can't discuss how to obtain it, you'd have to search the web for that ;-)

I liked Flashlight the way it was on October 17th, 2014 so I need that fixed Right Away

Used this for years. Bells and whistles silly but not in the way. Updated last night and now only gives me the flat panel display—no LED at all. Bummer. Don’t update if you can avoid it. I will try deleting Flashlight and reinstalling.

Have had Flashlight for many years, this most recent update has caused it to stop working. Think I’ll just delete and use the this app that’s part of the phone
