Event Ticker - Countdown to special days of life Reviews

There are a few neat features with EventTicker, such as the swipe-up todo list. However, the poor visual design dominates the system making it fairly unusable at times. It seems this is a result of lazy programming more than anything. For instance, when scrolling backgrounds and choosing a new one, the selection text (save, cancel) is white and stays white, making it impossible to see where these selections can be made. Add a translucent gray box around these words!

Another example of lazy programming is in the event creation engine. One menu must be closed before another can open by closing the menu and then opening the next. It has been a feature of most menu systems for decades now to be able to click from one to the other without closing the first one.

EventTicker has great potential, the developer just needs to care more!

it's the best countdown app I've had but I have to keep another countdown app so I can have more than three countdowns this would be a five star if there were more than three countdowns and that the wall papers would show all the way

I love EventTicker!! I like how it lets you pick your background! One of my favorite features is that if you swipe up on an event you can create a to-do list. Some people think you shouldn’t have to pay for more events. I think it’s okay you have to do that because it’s stupid to countdown to every little thing. If I could rate EventTicker 6 stars I would. EventTicker is super cool and I love it so much.

The wallpaper you can set for every event is probably the only thing I think could use some changes though.

When you set wallpapers for your events you can’t really see what it’ll look like until you set it and it’s not always perfect.

To have a sort of interface to customize the look of these wallpapers in the list and inside the event details would be great to have.

Possibly even customizing the font style for the events would be even better.

EventTicker has a sense in style that I absolutely love but it’s customizing of events could use some work. Can’t wait to see these changes in the future!

While the editing buttons are a little difficult to see when creating an app, overall it serves its purpose. Paying 99 cents to upgrade for more countdown storage isn't bad at all. By far the best countdown app I've come across, and I love the fact you can add your own photos for the background.

EventTicker works exactly the way it is advertised. It does exactly what I wanted it to - it shows me how many days are left before a specific event. And it lets me show a photo of the upcoming event. No more no less. Doesn't interfere by showing ads. It's just an app that does what it says it will.

I upgraded to the professional version to get rid of the ads and to allow more space. I got the more space and confirmation that I am in the pro version and the receipt but I still get all the ads. I couldn’t find any support for this

I got EventTicker 5 years ago and I have never deleted it ever. I love that you can add a todo list to an event. It is handy when you want to know how many days there is until your birthday for example. EventTicker might not be for some people but I love it. But anyway that is all I have to say.

EventTicker is good I just wish it had more like tabs on it for free I have more things to put on it then 3 things I almost need at lest 5-6 and I think most people will agree my friend has it and she has it and loves EventTicker to just please add more tabs on it for free version other then that it is a award winning app u can design everything ur self and still is supper easy . Sorry such a long comment .

EventTicker used to be so good, but now its glitchy. Whenever I open the menu it freezes and I have to restart EventTicker and EventTicker always misaligns text when you’re editing it.
I also wish there was a way to change the position of your events on the screen.
This thing has so much potential but nothing is happening to improve it. 😔

People are complaining about only being allowed 3 events? How many things are worth counting down to y'all? Are y'all counting down every single thing in your life? Everything isn't free, want more storage, pay for it.

EventTicker was my first choice based on the aesthetics of how event countdown is displayed. I liked that reviews said I’d be able to upload my own event photo backgrounds and also that there’s an option to pay to list multiple events. Too bad none of that matters since EventTicker constantly crashes, freezes, exits, and never saves my events. So frustrating - no thanks!

The iPhone X should get supported because it’s just a pain to see that apps still have a format that doesn’t fit to the. And you should be able to see a countdown of selected events in the Notification Center! Over all it’s alright but I wouldn’t recommend it in today’s state of EventTicker .

Searched ALL countdown apps event apps and this is the easiest one that allows to upload personalized pics. You get 3 events and then you can upgrade to unlimited and personalized pics.

For free you get 3 countdowns. Not sure how it could be improved short of making the pictures fit in the window better.
