This is the only app review I’ve ever written. I’m writing this before I delete my account tomorrow. this app has the potential to be an extremely fun place to meet new people all over the world. However after two months on Doongle , there are too many issues to make a good place to talk. this app is a place full of just straight up rude people. I cannot tell you the amount of perverts I had to go after, because they hit on my friends. There’s also a lot of toxicity on Doongle . People can just abuse the hell out of the reporting system to get innocent people banned. That’s how my account got suspended for two days (still haven’t gotten it back yet - they requested a profile review which may suspend my account for another day). There are also scumbags that make fake accounts to intentionally harass innocent people and support does nothing about it, even after all the reports. They let people like them run amok and then ban my account for no reason. Another issue I’d like to address are the amount of bugs I faced on the platform. this app never seems to function properly and the developers make little to no effort to fix anything. With all of these issues in mind, I decided to delete my account and leave this terrible app earlier this week. My friends are doing the same. I would highly recommend not getting Doongle. A pretty good way of making new friends .

Doongle is alright but it can be comparable to that of Instagram. Most people either post selfies or pics of food and that’s pretty much it. Instead of being a community where you can learn and exchange culture people are more preoccupied with finding love (not that there’s anything wrong with that) but it really defeats the whole purpose of Doongle....

There are lots of fake profiles on here looking to scam women (or men too, maybe?) and that can be pretty annoying and time-consuming. Most of the fake profiles are of Asian men with somewhat Asian names like Ken Wong or something; it kinda gives it away once you get used to seeing it. I am quite saddened that all these fake profiles kinda reveal the fact that Asian men (especially Koreans) get the most attention, given that the community is majority females. But oh well, I guess.

Doongle has so many bugs... and I don’t get the point of it. It’s just people liking your pictures...they even praise you for how many followers and likes you get. Nobody even talks on here it’s not healthy to have Doongle I think. People use it just to get likes. And there’s a lot of problems. It shows my location even after clicking to not share that. That’s so dangerous. I live in a small town so?? It just mixes every country in one newsfeed. 100% not for language learning as they marketed. You can’t even translate anything. If you want to meet people around the world and learn languages, download Hellotalk.

I give Doongle 5 starts cause I used to used it , re download Doongle and trying to set up my profile but when ever I try to download my profile picture the screen goes blank and won’t go through you press done and the profile picture not their that you download from your phone . Doongle won’t let you used Doongle until you set up your profile with your picture. Can someone please help me.

Such a cool idea, and I was so excited to meet new people from around the world. However I can’t upload pictures! After several tries it let me upload one but now no matter how many times I try, nothing. I’ve tried to email this app and they responded to my first message within hours. Told me to give more information on problem which I did and now they haven’t responded for weeks. Really sad but I’ll probably just delete Doongle since I can’t find a solution or let alone get the customer service to respond to my issue.

If you could filter out the countries that would be a nice addition to Doongle. Also, having being blocked. Why am I not able to block back? Why can I still their posts and not even block them? It’s annoying. There are way too many people pretending to be korean. Usually from turkey. Does the report button actually work? Seems like it doesn’t. Also tired of seeing people just spam and give likes to be “ featured”. Doongle needs more work.

Doongle is progressively getting worse. Its now almost exclusively dominated by influencers and the user interface is unnecessarily complicated.

Most recent update is just simply awful, and despite all these constant updates, Doongle still is full of bugs and glitches that make it even more difficult to use.

Doongle was SO much better back when it use to be “epenpal”. And Ive met some amazing friends on it years ago. Now its gimmicky garbage, sad to see how this turned out.

I think this is a cool app but there are a few things wrong with it. First it won’t let you upload high-def pictures (i.e. portrait mode photos) and second if it doesn’t crop right, it kicks you out of Doongle !! I don’t know why it keeps doing this but it’s super frustrating. I also wish we could upload videos too!

I even sent them an email I just cannot Post anything from time to time the second I click on the posting icon located at the center below in the screen the posting page opens up and closes right away

I found Doongle really good easy UI interface and smooth and this is good app for making new foreigns friends I really enjoying Doongle.

There’s a lot of young girls and boys in Doongle and too much predators outweighed the positives no matter how much I tried to report Doongle there’s no regulations. I used Doongle for 3 to 4 months before deciding that it was not for me. This is a good concept but dangerous for young people.

Yeah.. I’ve been trying to fix this for months but never have been able to get a password resent to my email so.. I will go elsewhere.

First of all everyone here is either millennials or boomers and literally Doongle is filled with pedos and perverts like 40 y olds write wassup bbg like EWW NO 911 and most people here are dry af so I didn’t like Doongle at all if you a genz don’t download this and ruin your social media!!!!!!

I downloaded Doongle last night and today when I woke up I saw that it had logged me out and it won’t let me log in. I tried resetting my password but it won’t send me an email where I can do so. Please fix it !!

It won’t let me set up my profile for some reason. I’ve downloaded Doongle twice and it still isn’t letting me do anything. Please help me.

It’s a great app and is really fun but it glitches and some things don’t work

Doongle itself isn't too bad. You do have to pay for features like adding more pictures or seeing certain content. But it runs pretty smoothly. Great concept, it's a rather safe website. A lot of the users seek attention, so I recommend finding friends under 'matches' or other 'new users' not from the home feed (I never even check it). It's a great way to meet friends and learn languages / culture. I can on here trying to improve my French as I am a 5 year student, and was impressed with all the friendly people. With friends in the U.K, France, Turkey, and Indonesia; I couldn't be happier! I highly recommend Doongle to anyone looking for a penpal.

I love the way it works but scams should be reduced

it was nice at first and cool to see/interact with people from other countries but... mainly guys use it to s*xt, people promoting their instagrams, and i’m sure there’s a s*x-trafficking ring going on as well :/ i’d suggest either going to these countries and making new friends or finding a different app :/

I’ve been using Doongle for a while and I can say that I love Doongle . Doongle is different from dating apps or language exchange apps. You can talk casually about your life, get to know how other people from different countries live, and ask questions to each other. I made some good friends here and looking forward to meet them in the future. Though, the previous version had a lot of flaws that made me almost erase Doongle (message problems was the biggest) but the updated version fixed them. It was weird and awkward at first, but now I like the update. One thing for the developer, I would like to have a group chat feature where I can talk with more people but not like Right Now.

When you first start off Doongle you're only able to look at people on your story. Not even able to post your own story until you have "7 likes" which i find difficult to achieve if you can't post a story to advertise yourself to people. Also there is a weird thing where you can only like ONE person per day? Quite limiting and annoying. I hope to see these restrictions remove or lowered down in the future.

It's a great app even though you have to wait for your profile to get approved. To me, the snail mail is confusing, when you add someone and you decide you want to send them a letter I can't find their address and the "help" button doesn't help. In the end you have to wait for someone to send you a letter and then you can reply back. Other than that, Doongle is amazing! I've met so many people and love it!

Don't bother trying to use Doongle. It takes days for your account and profile picture to go up, mine was pending for I think three days. And then I went to change my profile picture and it went into pending status for four more days and now there is no picture at all. And while it is pending people can still see that you're there and can send you a message but you can't reply until you're not pending! I felt so badly when I got two messages when I was pending and I couldn't reply. I've had Doongle for a few weeks and I'm done trying to make it work.

I love Doongle but my only problem with it is that the picture quality gets ruined when you post it. Is there a way to solve this? I see that everyone else’s pictures are just fine but all my pictures lose their high resolution once uploaded. I’d appreciate some help :)
