Lazy delivery people?

Used to go through UberEats and was decent at first. Eventually Cornershop started deleting items from my cart. Example, I would add a combined 15 items to the cart and when it was time to checkout/pay about 5-7 would disappear. Would add them again and does the same thing. Exit Cornershop and it still does it. So I believe that Cornershop has issues.

Decided to install the this app app and started out okay. The last number of times now it seems like the delivery person doesn’t look for everything or doesn’t understand what some items are which results in a incomplete order. A few times recently too I have bought 20 items but only got 7-10 items because of this and it makes you guys look bad. Had to go to the same store literally 30 minutes after they delivered due to this & needing some items soon and they had the rest of the items that I needed. It seems like the delivery people just try to rush each order and miss multiple items instead of spending the extra 5 minutes looking or asking some employees for help. So it cost me extra money for 2 separate store trips and wastes my time.

Bad experience

I have tried numerous times to “verify my account” by providing the amounts charged to my credit card, and their system continuously said that I am entering the wrong amount. When this happened, I tried to talk to customer service to explain the issue and request their assistance. I was basically told that they don’t know why that was happening and that I must be entering the wrong amount. They took no ownership that perhaps there was an issue on their end, or try to provide me an alternate solution to the issue I was facing. Then the customer service representative told me that the only way I can verify my account now is by providing a picture of myself and a ton of personally identifiable information. I refuse to give any app more information than what is needed. I asked to speak with someone else who could help me like a supervisor, but of course this was their “person in charge”. When asked if they would be able to call me, they did not reply. They lost a customer in me. There are too many similar apps to give business to.

Flawless!

I very rarely take the time to review an app, but for this app I just had to make an exception. I cannot even praise enough this wonderful app! Of all the shopper apps there are out there, this is by far, hands down, the best there is. There is not a single aspect of Cornershop that is not perfectly thought out, the ease of use, Cornershop feels light, quick, extremely well organized in terms of product exhibition. If I could give 6 stars to Cornershop I would!

Suggestion for a future iteration of Cornershop , I would love to be able to save delivery instructions instead of having to type them out with every order.

Horrible

It does not work. I ordered through uber eats and they tell me to download Cornershop so I do, after doing so the accounts wont sink and the agents refuse to acknowledge its the same account. After being hung up on chats ended with half a dozen agents (refusing to answer, just ending the chat)

They refused to help my account. My account was flagged because of another agents incompetence the day before. She accidentally issued my refund as this app credits. The next day when i see this mistake I get it fixed on the chat (reversed back to my original payment method), I place my order and think all is well until 5 mins later when i see that my order was canceled and flagged due to this agent. I am then ignored hung up on by customer service for over an hour afterwards….now they wont help with my account refuse to even realize its the same account. Its ridiculous. I also had $24 in promotional/marketing credits that I was made unable to use (false advertsing)

Because of this negligence and mistreatment by the customer service and refusal to correct the issues on my account, this week we are filing suit against Uber Eats and its subsidiary, this app

DO NOT USE this app….use door dash or Grubhub but NOT this app!!!

They clearly have a lot of work to do with this new service. It just doesnt work guys. Don’t waste you time. Try an other delivery service

Love Cornershop

I have ordered twice this week from this app. My first experience was so good, I decided to try it again a few days later and I am super happy and satisfied with the entire process. You can pick out your groceries and leave them in your cart until you are ready for check out. You can also text with your personal shopper if something needs a substitution. Your shopper also calls you from a designated this app cellphone for substitutions. All in all, a wonderful streamlined delivery system that works extremely quickly. I am super grateful.

Shady Business Practices

I was quoted $61 (including fees) and actually charged over $110 for my order — incredibly shady business practices!! It took me FOREVER to get any kind of refund and I still ended up paying almost $20 more than quoted - and that’s with one of my larger items being fully refunded because it was not delivered. Cornerstone just claimed it was from “swap outs” or “slight differences in quantities”.... $50 in unapproved swap outs?!!! It was an absolutely nightmare trying to work it out with customer service. To get the $30 refund was near impossible so at that point I just gave up. I don’t know where their high service charge goes but it certainly isn’t being used effectively or worth it. That was my first and absolute last time ever using the service. I order groceries weekly and have never had such a terrible experience.

First time experience and super rude

I asked for chicken breasts as a substitute and he just got whatever he wanted. He hung up on me 14 times when I got the notification it was delivered. He delivered it to the wrong building and the wrong unit. How safe and risky is that? He told me I was stupid and an idiot.

He was a coward and made two other women deliver it because he couldn’t admit or confront me with his mistake nor apologize.

I will not order from this service again. For an $11 fee? Please...

Quality of service in Mexico has dropped dramatically

I’ve been a long time user of this app, and it’s been pretty flawless service-wise until recently. Your app operators in Mexico (City of Monterrey specifically) have been using shoppers to tend two orders at a time, which of course impacts performance. I’ve even had shoppers call me to apologize for running late because they have to orders to tend to. One didn’t go over one of my updated out of stock products because he has super late, another got here an hour after the allotted schedule (and I program my orders 24 hrs. before service).

If your Mexico operations are going to continue exploiting their shoppers to handle two orders at a time and have them make deliveries in time, at least stop calling your app a Personal Shopper one. It’s not.

My order cancelled by cornershop

I placed a larger groceries order. I invested a long time in making the selections and was awaiting delivery. When the order was supposed to arrive, I got a notification that the order was cancelled, with no explanation as to why.

I contacted this app support to inquire what triggered the cancelation and to ask to reinstate the order and deliver the much needed groceries. The support person responded saying that they detected that the information registered in my account generated a security alert (what????!!! This is the account I've been using with Uber for years! I never had an issue) and that my account is now suspended... They refused to share any further information with me as to what caused this security alert.

I really hope that Uber discontinues working via this app. Such a bad experience!

Terminated me for no cause

Started using Cornershop during the pandemic. Their drivers consistently had problems finding/delivering to my address, even though it’s very clear if you use your eyes. Their prices were reasonable though, so I used the service for approximately 10 months. Then last week I am suddenly unable to place orders. I contact customer support, and I am told they “detected inconsistencies” that violated their terms of service. When I asked what inconsistencies, they refused to provide me information concerning MY account, citing “safety and security”. Obviously my account was hacked, which is their fault, not mine. I would not trust your financial information to Cornershop or your personal info like address and phone number.

Corner shop review

Corner shop is a terrible app especially if you are blind or visually impaired. I would give Cornershop zero stars. The navigation controls are not easily accessible and less you are fully cited. My first experience using Cornershop did not go well. I had to have my mother who is cited assist me in making selections and completing the order. In addition, for some reason the shopper did not have my correct address and I had to text her my street address to put into her GPS. Cornershop needs considerable improvement before I will ever use it again they have lost a customer.

In quarantine and they wont let me place more than one order in 24 hours

This is the most horrible policy I have ever seen in my life. We are in Bogota under quarantine. We are not supposed to be out of our homes. We are completely reliant on deliveries. I have been an Uber customer for a very long time. I will probably stop being a customer of Uber just because of the policy of only allowing new customers to order once in 24 hours, never sharing that policy in advance, and the horrible customer service and passive aggressive rudeness and probably racism against me by Claudio the chat customer service rep on this app by Uber for not being a local and being an English speaking customer. Horrible!

Avoid shopping there !!! Contact local shops directly!

It is a disaster with absolutely not existing customer support !!!! If you don’t speak Spanish - forget about any customer support at all as they are all located in South America. The cyclists will pile up your eggs, wine and flowers so you can receive tulips floating in broken eggs with a bottle of booz on top. Local shops care about their customers and will never delivery like that. this app takes 20% percent from vendors and then give your order to cyclists who don’t really care what they deliver and voila!
After this review I got an email from this app telling me to contact team with which I exchanged hundreds emails to no avail. Again - just shop directly !

Hi, I wanted to let y’all know that we appreciate your hard work and it’s wonderful to have shoppers and delivering and having to use a debit card to pay for all groceries is wonderful what most concerns me is the elderly and people who don’t have a debit card but has there Snap benefits as one calls food stamps why aren’t y’all able to take after ones who have orders there groceries it’s the same and cash card bank card I just wanna know why that’s not even on checkout while orders our going out in registers there’s has to be a way if the manager or someone brings it up to Ones attention.

Great at the Beginning.

We’ve had a really good experience up til this week. The dry law ended and the only way to get wine, beer and spirits is through delivery. I don’t know why but my order with a bottle of tequila was cancelled along with the orders my friends had placed.
My shopper claimed the dry law prevented him from making this delivery.
It’s such a shame because everything was going well up to this point. The moratorium ended. I don’t know why they can’t adapt.

First day I use this app and it’s a total disaster

I placed a small order. I took advantage of the free delivery and the fact that the small order coming from a local supermarket will be delivered in 90 minutes. Driver never showed up with the food I get a call 30 minutes later from a supervisor stating the driver is missing in action and he wants to refund plus give a $15 credit no credit ever showed up on Cornershop my order was deleted so it doesn’t show up in the system but I do have the order number. Customer service is nice but they’re denying it ever happened. If your hungry I don’t think I would use Cornershop to order food. Good luck

Questionable...

Much along the lines of several other complaints; verifying the account is a cumbersome process, customer support is of very little assistance, they refer me to my bank, registering is not convenient, terrible response times from the chat lines and email.
After a while I get the impression they have a few kids on their payroll to answer chats/emails with vague answers and no true technical capabilities.

Avoid !!!!!

Claim it’s a free delivery on Uber , yet charge you a corner shop fee that “allows free delivery” , the driver that dropped my groceries off did not check anything except a bag of fries to make sure they were the right order. The food was delivered to my pet sitter who did not know the detailed order, and then proceeded to feed my cat the food that was brought, which caused me a sick cat, and having to replace my entire house worth’s of BRAND NEW cushions and blankets due to the cats infection. The customer service did nothing and and explained there was no phone customer service. In other words.... I wasn’t going to be helped. Avoid Cornershop! Avoid using on Uber !!!!!

We have...let’s say a few dogs. I request that they text when dropped off, and not to knock or ring the bell.
They’ve followed every ask. Friendly notification calls when they’re on the way.

This is one of my favorite apps ever! It’s extremely user friendly. You can do your supermarket in 5 minutes and have it delivered in less than 2 hrs. Their customer service is exceptional. They respond immediately to any complaint or comment made.
