17LIVE - Live Streaming Reviews

*This is my first experience with a streaming app*
17LIVE can be a bit overwhelming, there are a lot of things happening between the streamer, the gifts, and the comments. When I initially logged on it wasn’t clear how to use 17LIVE and I was ready to bail. But once you get and understanding of how the streams and graphics work, it can be really fun to go between streams, meet streamers, chat with people from all over and more. I recommend at least checking it out, it may not be for everyone, but there is an unexpected amount of community and friendship to be made through this platform.

I’m a former contracted streamer for 17LIVE and if you’re considering streaming here, RUN. 17LIVE is full of not only incredibly misogynistic and predatory viewers, but also management as well. The viewers on this platform are mainly middle aged men who just want to date you. Management is incredibly ableist and pushes you to become a sell out and go out of your comfort zone. Management only cares about you if you’re bringing in money for them every month, otherwise you’re nothing to them. Their contracts are incredibly shady and some involve having to gambling your paycheck at the end of the month if you might not hit your “coin threshold.” 17LIVE is full of incredibly unprofessional talent managers that will only help their friends instead of doing their jobs. Managers have also openly talked trash about the streamers they’re assigned to IN SOMEONE’S STREAM. I’ve never had to deal with such an awful platform in all my five years of content creation. The community on this platform AND the management is just disgusting. STAY AWAY, GO BACK TO TWITCH AND DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MENTAL HEALTH.

Usually I hate writing reviews, think their a waste of my time but, I wanted to now take the time out of day and thank the developers whoever created 17LIVE a big thank you. I can finally express myself through my art without no judgement of others and enjoy other open minded people that connects here. There a so many nice individuals on 17LIVE and they actually knowledge you and have a great conversation. Thank you again for the creating this social media platform to accommodate us introverts. I look forward to see what you have in store for us next with updates!!

I love the wild and weird world of streaming and this here app gives you a chance to watch various people[typically from Asia, but also from the US and South America] to strut their stuff. There’s a lot of weird crap, and tons of cute girls. They encourage you to spend cash on them, but I don’t. I mean, what’s the use? But it’s a free app, and if you’re bored at night you can wander different streaming videos for entertainment purposes. It’s associated with another app called LINE which is quasi-Facebook profiles loaded with robo-girls pimping “their” streaming broadcasts.

I am a contracted streamer and my experience has been great. This has been my first time streaming EVER. It has been a challenge to get acclimated but I really enjoy having a community of people no matter what. I never feel lonely and when I do I just turn on my app and stream. Really would have loved to keep my talent manager. & have some type of monthly video calls now that I am with support. It was a real bomber finding out I was no longer with an agent. All in all this is an experience I would recommend to other but not just anyone. Only special people have what it truly takes to make an impact on this platform and it shows.

basically what the title says 17LIVE is being ruined by so many bot accounts stealing red envelopes from actual people. the devs aren't doing anything about them and everyday more new bot accounts are being made and you can tell they're bot too they will all joined a random streamers room and chat shows new accounts and it'll show all of the bot accounts join at the same time sometimes they'll all say the same thing too and people don't notice them since they don't seem to know what bot accounts are it's so stupid. Unless you're rich and can afford the stupidly over priced points they sell go for it enjoy 17LIVE . but other than that trying to get free points is so pointless with all these bot accounts.

I’ve seen a lot of reviews of people complaining about there being a lot of bots on 17LIVE but that’s just them not understanding 17LIVE . When you go into a stream there are scripted comments you can choose from to start a conversation, but the result is a bunch of users all saying the exact same thing, which to a new user looks like bots all commenting in.

In reality this community is one of the most authentic and welcoming online groups I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with! I HIGHLY recommend 17LIVE!

Would love to but it back to five stars yet for the positive things Love the fact you can chat and meet new friends and build a friendship up with them and also love how you can video chat with them while they are streaming yet on the downside hating all the Lagging and freezing 17LIVE does along with drains the battery life from your cellphone yet also been seeing where we can do Audio streams and would love to know how to do audio streams

I’ve enjoyed 17LIVE for several months. Recently it’s been blunder after blunder of ridiculous competitions that are handled poorly at the end and show the ineptitude of the two clowns running it here on the US side. It does not appear that they are interested in the community that is trying to enjoy/grow the content, lack of true leadership is really beginning to show. Have all the stream schools you want, but if you can’t honestly try to be leaders and competently run a competition, then maybe there needs to be some reevaluating in what the mission is here. The lack of professionalism when addressing the users (streamers and audience)of the platform only highlights many of the issues that are wrong with this platform.

I was a paid streamer for 3 months on 17LIVE. Do not buy into this company, they are dishonest and will do anything to take your money and make you work crazy hours and not get paid!!!! The “agent” I had, not gonna drop names was such a conniving liar. I had a minimum of 30 hours monthly to reach— knowing that I was going to be short in the middle of the month he told me to keep going and that he was going to try his best to get me paid but do my “hours”. Come time for payment they do not give me my $500... there goes my wasted 29.5 hours of work.. not even a whole hour off... smh. These guys are a waste of time. The “points” they rub in your face barely add up to pennies. 17LIVE is soul sucking and wack!!!

After a year of quarantining, Livit was just what I needed to get the feeling of going out and socializing again. It is the closet to going out and meeting new people I could get with limitations of everything going on these days. Have been caught up for hours on 17LIVE and feel like real friendships have been made from time spent on 17LIVE both with streamers and other viewers/supporters.

17LIVE has figured out a lot of ways to help the streamer and the viewer by watching and interacting. The UI can take a minute to get used to but after you understand it 17LIVE becomes a lot more fun and rewarding. All the way down to customization of an avatar that you can get new items for through using 17LIVE , watching, and interacting. Very well done app.

I honestly never do this but I just had the single worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. After downloading 17LIVE, I discovered it’s a total mess and decided I wanted to delete my account. Finding no way to do so in 17LIVE , I clicked “customer service”. I did not get any. Beware that there are EIGHT STEPS you have to complete in order to REQUEST that the company deletes your account. I’ve done all of them and no one will tell me how long it will take or even if I will get confirmation that my account was deleted. The rep I was chatting with stopped responding to me altogether. Frankly I find that very scary. Do what this information what you will.

LIVIT is a really cool streaming platform, with a very talented, and positive community. However, the tech behind 17LIVE is literally the worst I’ve ever experienced, on any streaming platform. Not only does LIVIT constantly crash on my iPhone 11...but it makes every other app on my phone crash as well, after using LIVIT. It basically bricks my phone, until I do a hard reset on the device. I think LIVIT would really benefit by investing in new tech, as these issues are becoming more common place and others on the platform, are starting to talk about it more often.

livit (formerly liveAF)contracts people to livestream for money. they also hold prize contests where viewers can buy points to gift to streamers. that’s how the company makes money. unfortunately, streamers are under so much pressure to meet schedule or monthly point quotas that they literally spend 90% of their time begging viewers for points rather than showing off their talent. other times, streamers complain about not being paid on time, rigged contests, or the high livit staff turnover. there are also a lot of weird rules and censorship around what streamers can and cannot eat, drink, do, or talk about while broadcasting. honestly, it’s super depressing and no fun to watch.

I honestly think this is one of the best streaming platforms out right now. I am not being biased because I have streamed on a few others and this one seems like a large community that supports each other and the other platforms seam like a large competition. You WILL grow on 17LIVE and will have fun ! 😌 enjoy !

Livit is a fun app. But as a previous certified streamer, be wary about talent managers reaching out to you. I streamed for two months with a promise of $800 if I met my minimum hours (40 a month), my first month I was unable to due to technical problems with 17LIVE and now starting at the beginning of the month (aug 12). Understandable to not meet the minimum. My second month, I reached 40 hours but was told I will my receive money because I didn’t meet the baby coin minimum (I have 32,000 and was supposed to reach 200,000). This was humanly impossible. Give it a try if you want but I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO.

I am enjoying watching people from all over the world do their thing on 17LIVE just as much as I am enjoying them watch me do mine.

Very well put together app. I haven’t found any bugs to mention.

The community is great and very supportive of each other. There are also competitions built into 17LIVE for chances to win some amazing prizes.

17LIVE is super easy to use and is very interactive!!! As a viewer you have the ability to chat with live-streamers around the globe, meet and watch interesting people express themselves artistically/creatively, and have tons of fun!!! It’s completely different from other social media websites/apps and I highly recommend downloading and giving it a try

Livit is very unique and immersive, showcasing real people and priding itself on interaction with the viewer. It is very confusing to control at first and there are some issues on the streamer side which can be frustrating but there is a lot of potential for the US side of 17LIVE . If you are looking for entertainment please give it a download and try it out!

I was literally only on 17LIVE for 24 hours before they decided to block me for no good reason and I had spent money to support one of my favorite streamers on 17LIVE and was only on 17LIVE to watch my favorite streamer I tried emailing them and they told me that I was in violation of their terms of service and when they sent me the terms of service they were in Chinese which I could not read do you not get 17LIVE they banned you for no good reason I do not know what rule I broke as far as I know I followed all the rules

Its totally weird . Its basically streamer asking for points that the views must pay for . And of you want to stream they have to approve you . I guess they just to make sure you can make them money . So all the streamer are just there to make money for the developers. I hope that the streamers get paid at least . Not to mention its a bit of a rip off from periscope. So if your thing is to give money away or hear a bunch of people beg for your money you can download it or just go to Times Square in NY .

I absolutely love it! Every single live streamer welcomes you with open arms and the policies on 17LIVE in order to become a live streamer from what I learned is great! It weeds out the bad apples that could potentially ruin their social network by interviewing you first before you could proceed to becoming an avid live streamer

I’ve done my fair share of rounds around the “mobile-streaming apps” and I’ve come to find LiveAF as being the best of the bunch. You have a community that’s close and cares for each other, clean chat, awesome contests and more! Highly recommended

Everyone is so friendly here it feels like a family! It’s all PG, which is great. I’m a streamer and I’m always painting, playing video games, cooking, or just interacting with my people! I get tons of love from the ones watching :) Highly recommend everyone to it!

I love 17LIVE. The streamers are so talented and the LiveAF community is amazing. I have so much fun on 17LIVE watching my favorite streamers and making friends with other users. They have UNREAL events and prizes which keep things super exciting. Definitely recommend

The size of 17LIVE is getting bigger and caused 17LIVE is crashed all the time. It's always crashed while I start to enjoy watching the streamer broadcasting their show, and I feel really annoying. I'm not sure if the engineers of the 17 will see this message or not. However I would like to say 17LIVE will be more better if it becomes more smaller in size and more powerful in function.

I have downloaded a lot of livestream apps, but the LiveAF livestreaming community is one of the most authentic and supportive ones! People here (viewers AND broadcasters) really get to know each other. It’s like “Cheers” where everyone knows your name 🥰
