Thank you for fixing the bug

Thank you for fixing the bug for paid versions to be able to go back in time to add beverages. The few days that wasn’t working was hugely disruptive to me. I got behind in my fluid consumption a while ago and I’ve been steadily working to catch back up, so suddenly not having that ability was a big issue.

The one thing I wish was better was if your weight goes up and you therefor change the daily goal intake, it also changes it for a the past days, making it like you didn’t hit your goal in the past when you really did because your weight was lower. For example I’m a fit person but I didn’t have much fat so I purposely gained weight recently to try to aid in trying to conceive. I would like to therefore increase my goal water intake by a few ounces, but when I do, it takes away the fact I met my goal in the past when I was at a lower weight. So instead I just keep my goal the same because I don’t like taking my past met goals away from myself. So developer, please change the programming so that when you change your goal number of ounces or if you update your weight which updates your goal ounces, it only changes the goal from that day forward. Changing the goal ounces SHOULD NOT apply to the past! I really hope you can do this 🙏🏻 I would give you 5 ⭐️ if you do. Thank you for MyWater . It has helped me a lot.

Helpful App, but watch weight tracking!

MyWater is extremely helpful in tracking the amount of water you intake and in the paid version ($20 for the year) you can breakdown a lot of different types of drinks, and even the actual amount of H2O in each drink like coffee, and even gives you negative ounces for consuming alcohol!

However if you use the weight tracking feature, and you use a Apple Watch to track your activity and you connect MyWater to your health data, for some reason MyWater resets your weight to the default 107lbs! This is a HUGE problem if you’re trying to close your “Move” ring and you weigh more (I’m 235lbs). I didn’t notice until I was exercising and noticed it was taking me more than twice as long to burn my usual amount of calories! I finally realized that when I entered my weight in MyWater , for some reason it reset my weight in my iOS health to MyWater ’s default weight (107lbs). First I reset it manually in iOS, which worked until the next time I updated my weight in MyWater , at which time the same thing happened.

So... until this is fixed, either don’t connect MyWater to iOS health or don’t allow MyWater to make changes to your weight.

Helpful log but occasionally misleading

I really appreciate MyWater as it helps me easily log my fluid intake and send me notifications to reach my daily goal. But some of the different types of beverage choices can be misleading with how it calculates the water content. I drink a lot of green tea and sugar-free sports drinks on days that I workout. But both of these, while almost all water, are calculated as much less fluids than regular water. I wish MyWater had both the total amount of fluid intake along with the total water intake. Some days I find myself drinking 2-3 extra cups just to fill the meter when technically I’ve already met my total fluid intake goal. Additionally, editing my log of drinks isn’t as easy as it could be. Sometimes I just want to edit a drink’s volume but that would require having to delete it entirely and reentering the whole thing. Overall, MyWater is helpful as a daily reminder and has motivated me to stay hydrated, but there are some changes that could make it more informative and user friendly. All changes that seem reasonable for an app that you have to pay so much for to get the full as a lifestyle tool.

Interesting idea, too bad I could barely use it

Decided to try out a bunch of the water reminder/tracking apps to help me be better about my water in take on really busy days. Thought this one looked promising, especially because it had options for herbal tea and smoothies, both of which I also regularly drink. But, you can only use the water, tea, and coffee options without a subscription. But, I couldn’t even give the 3-day trial with a year subscription a try, because every time I clicked on that link it informed me that I had no subscription and offered only a close button. So, I emailed support with a screen shot and was informed that it was an odd error and they’d investigate and look into having a fix incorporated in a few weeks with the next release. So, until the fix rolls around, if I remember to check back ... this one has been deleted. Perhaps try giving a free 3-day trial upfront and then locking people out with the offer to keep the extended features with their choice of a subscription. That’s probably a better enticement and business model.

Killing apple watch series 3 battery

Something happened in January 2018 with MyWater because it quickly starting draining my apple watch series 3 battery. Ive had MyWater since purchasing my watch back in October and never had any issues. Then in January i noticed my watch battery was drained and dead in 8 hours. Now, im pretty pathetic with my apple watch, so far i have a sleep app and the my water app on it.. thats it! I called Apple complaining about my battery and they ran numerous tests which took up all my afternoons. I decided to one by one remove my two apps from my phone and do some testing of my own. Yes, the my water app failed... something on their end is causing my battery to die. Yes, i looked into notifications and settings and made adjustments.. still kills my watch in 8hrs if i have MyWater on my apple watch.
Please look into this and fix. MyWater is part of the reason i invested in the apple watch and at $450 dollars its a bit investment for me.

Thank you

Weirdly Awesome

You might not think MyWater is necessary but you'd be surprised how much you'd end up loving it and using it all the time. Most people don't drink enough water. I intermittently fast as the construct of my diet so staying super hydrated is paramount considering the toxins released needing to be flushed out. I also follow a plant based diet so the no soluble fibers are high in my diet making fluids important for more efficient digestion. I know it sounds ridiculous but it'll change you more than you'd think being able to track your water intake. On top of it all the biggest thing I've noticed is my expanded cognitive capacity and hyper focus. It's like I've discovered the limitless drug and it's been water all this time lol! You can knock me and continue on your current life's path, or you can try this and expand your horizons. Choice is yours.....

This one works, unlike many of the other water trackers

I tried (and spent money on) a few of the other water tracking apps before trying My Water. With the other apps, I was frustrated by really basic bugs: entering a drink on my watch didn’t work unless my phone was within Bluetooth range, or sometimes a simple drink entry on the phone didn’t register, or registered multiple times. This one just works.
I’d love to see a few new features. We all occasionally log a drink after the fact, and making the times previous drinks were logged would be a great help in ensuring we’re not double-logging. I’d like more context-sensitive reminders (am I way behind?). But overall, this seems to be the best one out there right now.

Best App Ever

When I first heard of MyWater, I thought it’d be a waste of time since I have used these “reminder” apps before and they’ve never worked for me. I bought the full version for $4.99 and let me tell you, I can thank MyWater for helping me be motivated to drink more water. I get constant reminders on my phone, so whenever I look at my notification screen, I think to myself if I’ve drank any water today & proceed to do so. It feels like a game putting in how much water you’ve drank, trying to reach your goal. The only complaints I would have is that $4.99 is a little pricey for the extra accesses it gives you, and probably that sometimes I don’t know the exact amount of water that I’ve drank. But other than, I think it’s a worth it app.

My water

Okay so I personally loved MyWater at first to help me be little healthier, but I get MyWater makers want money so they make you buy the other drink options which is unfair. I really think if they truly have good intentions on allowing people to make the most of their lives and live healthier they should not make the extra drinks cost more. Another thing was that I wish MyWater was more interactive. It is an pretty basic, but I love how MyWater allows you to move the water its a very unique feature. I do wish MyWater was more interactive, but in retro spect it does what it was created to do. I think if MyWater makers want to make MyWater more fun and want to get more people to download their app they would make it so you can compete with your friends or something to that effect. I did like MyWater just it could be better.

Almost perfect!!

MyWater is by far the best of its kind that I’ve seen. It does exactly what you would want it to do—it allows you to program customized reminders and set your water goal for the day, track your progress throughout the day, week, and month with an easy to view visual format, and enter pretty much any kind of beverage that has been “weighted” for its water content. Oh it is flawlessly compatible with the Apple Watch, complete with the ability to use as a complication on your watch face.

Literally my one and only gripe is that you have to select water as the beverage every time you want to track your intake—95% of the time this is what I’m entering, so the extra click feels tedious and unnecessary at times. It should just be the default beverage.

A great (realistic) motivator!

I've been using MyWater for almost a week and I have already become much more aware of how much I drink each day. Before MyWater , I tended to drink a cup of coffee, energy water, club soda, and an occasional glass of wine. I would rarely drink plain water. What is great about MyWater is it not only reminds you to hydrate; it also motivates you to drink more WATER. Assuming you are being honest with yourself (and it's your body; why wouldn't you be?), MyWater will adjust the amount of water intake based on the type of drink you enter. For example, my 10-oz daily cup of coffee equates to only 8 ounces of water, due to the caffeine content. My 20-oz energy water only adds 8 ounces to my daily water count. 😔 So I've become much more mindful about what I drink — not just how much. 😎

UPDATE - PROBLEM HAS BEEN FIXED. App currently not usable. Won’t stay active.

UPDATE: The problem described below has been fixed. Thanks for the quick turnaround and fix. Went to the ‘App Store’, found MyWater , selected update (or upgrade), and the problem fixed.

I really like MyWater and have been using daily for at least three months. Three days ago upgraded to version 4.3.6. App was working as expected until early this morning. Opening MyWater , MyWater opens and a second later it closes. Have closed MyWater (swiped up from display off all opined apps) and restarted with the same results. In current state MyWater is not usable. Help needed. Thanks.

You can track your water.. and that’s about it

I had MyWater maybe a year ago and it was pretty great, you could enter your weight and goal weight and access other features which are now unavailable. The worst part to me is that these features are literally taunting you with how MyWater is displayed. There’s different icons that take you to different screens on the bottom and 2 of those you can’t even use without upgrading. Also when your go to track you water intake, there is at least 6 other options (which would make MyWater much easier to use) like milk, soda, etc. If you click on any of those grayed out option, they screen that says you need to upgrade and pay for a subscription comes it. Its overall very annoying to navigate but the style and design is pleasant, and that’s about it.

I like the My Water app but

I struggle to get my daily water intake everyday. MyWater keeps me accountable by a rewarding design that allows me to log my water from either my Apple Watch series 3 or my phone and then I work towards achievements. I don’t like the fact that notifications ONLY appear on my iPhone and NOT my Apple Watch even if I turn off and turn back on notifications. If that is fixed = you get 5 stars from me
Update didn’t fix anything but instead it gave me the option to log my weight. I don’t need to log my weight only water. Devs can you make more achievements? Maybe make cute animals to unlock if you get your goal and they will reward you for doing so…options are fish, mermaid, turtle

AMAZING!

A lot in my life I have struggled intensely to drink water, I would always see friends bring water bottles to school and would look so healthy, but I had never brought any water bottles to school and had even gone days without drinking water and just not realizing it. When I started MyWater it helped me actually want to drink water because I felt I was reaching a goal, and winning at something and I’m a competitive person so it felt really good! I don’t feel as dizzy anymore because I’m drinking water! Although one thing that does upset me is that you have to buy a full version to add multiple drinks and the ones your offered not everyone likes, but other than that MyWater is AMAZING!

Great Way To Stay Hydrated

As an athlete, it’s very important for me to make sure I’m staying hydrated and healthy, but that’s easier said than done. My schedule tends to take attention away from simple things like consuming fluids. Water is used in every cell, tissue, and organ in the body performing tasks from delivering nutrients to the body to lubricating the joints. Due to problems staying hydrated in the past, I suffered many injuries (some serious and some less serious) all of which could have been avoided and their recovery times could have been sped up if I had started tracking my water intake! Whether you’re an athlete or not, staying hydrated is a big step towards a long, healthy life.

Full version a waste? *Update

Downloaded MyWater today and logged the only few drinks available on the free version. I love that there is a calculation that my coffee intake DOES in fact contribute to some water intake. I bought the full version to unlock the rest of the options for things like sports drinks and various teas. Though, as soon as I purchased the full version, MyWater has crashed numerous times when trying to log a drink, update my profile, change the profile picture, or change notifications. It's very frustrating. Not sure the $4.99 was worth it.
*a few weeks later from the above review - the crashing has resolved and I've updated my rating to 4 stars (<5 only because of the issues above)

Amazing app that keeps you healthy!

I personally love MyWater because it helps keep you hydrated if you are not doing so well at regularly drinking water. It gives you an option to pick a time range when you want it to notify you and tell you to drink some water. I chose every 30 minutes, and it is totally making a difference in everything and really does help. The only thing I would say is it gives you an option of what you want to drink when adding a drink. There’s options like coffee, smoothies, wine ETC. and I don’t recall those ever helping hydrate yourself. But that’s a small reason, and doesn’t matter that much because I always choose water!😄

So much for reminders

I was never a drinker. One cup of water would last me a day. But my Dr told me that he would rather see me drink alcohol to get the fluids in I knew I had to do something.
So, I downloaded MyWater for my phone and watch. I’m extremely busy and would never remember to drink.
I’ve had MyWater for 1 week now and have only gotten 3 reminders. I set the reminder up for 1.5 hours starting at 5am and ending at 10pm. So you can do the math to figure out how many it didn’t remind me for. First I though it was because I didn’t leave MyWater open (battery drainage, I always close my apps) Nope. It still didn’t work. The. I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Nope. Last shot was to litterally leave MyWater open on my phone. Nothing.
I have the most current update on the phone and watch.
Unfortunately, MyWater didn’t do what I needed it to. Great idea.

Love it!

MyWater is amazing! I don’t have the premium edition and don plan on getting it but even the starter pack is great! I recently had been dehydrated because I haven’t been drinking enough water throughout my days. I had constant headaches and an upset stomach. But now? I am feeling much better within a day of drink 90oz of water. The water tracker is awesome. You set a daily goal and every time you drink some water, you type in the ounces that you drank and it will tell you the percentage of water for your daily goal you drank. I also compete with my best friend! It’s awesome! Hi definitely need to get MyWater if you are looking for a water tracker app! 💧😍 It keeps me motivated and ready for life!

Simple and easy to use. Use it everyday!

At first glance, you wouldn't think that you needed a special app to remind you to drink water. People have been drinking water for 2,000 years so why is an app necessary?

It turns out that using MyWater has actually increased my water intake in a very positive way. You get reminders throughout the day if you haven't entered any data in a while. This prompts you to drink water or some other liquid and then log it into MyWater . I have been more hydrated than ever before and I can even say that my appetite has lessened since I have been filling up with water instead of mindlessly grabbing a handful of chips. These are all good things!

The premium price is worth it because you can add different liquids and drinks to your daily intake. I also love that I can label certain and specific sizes of my favorite vessels that have different volumes than the standard 8, 12, or 16 ounces. The Apple Watch integration is great and serves you another gentle reminder to drink water.

Highly recommended!

Too many notifications

I got MyWater a few days ago and enjoy it, however I turned the notifications on and set it to 2 hr reminder increments, but after the first day, I started getting regular notifications of encouragement that were coming in in less than 2 hr increments. I thought it was because on day 2, I forgot to add my water intake, but even when I did, I kept receiving the encouragement notifications. Encouragement is great and all, but this is highly annoying. Today, I entered my water and tea intake and not 5 min later got the notifications. If MyWater just stuck with the “time to drink water” reminders, I’d give it 5 stars, but the encouragement notifications are unnecessary. I want to keep the reminders on, but I do not want the encouragement stuff.

Notifications

UPDATE: Notifications are now coming in. Once I record intake through MyWater notifications stop. The developer did contact me stating this is a problem with iOS 11x. A friend bought MyWater the same day as I did. She doesn’t receive notifications either and is using a Samsung.

Paid for MyWater but it DOES NOT send out the reminder notifications. Rip off IMO. Emailed the developer and no response. Uninstalled then reinstalled still doesn’t send out notifications. I would like a REFUND!!! One of the main reasons for this purchase was the notifications. DOES NOT work on my Apple Watch either. Also a friend of mine purchased MyWater for Samsung and is having the exact same issue. Still waiting on a reply from developer. This is why Apple should offer refunds within a 48 hour period.

Didn't realize how much I WASN'T drinking water until this app.

I have used technology for lots of silly things, but never in a million years would I think I would need it to remind me to drink water. But somehow here we are. MyWater doesn't just remind you though, it makes you WANT to drink more. I love the simple interface as it still challenges me to complete the days task. I also really like that I can record more than just water. As an avid wine and tea drinker, it just wouldn't be fair to only record water. All in all, it's simple, efficient, and syncs with my Apple Watch so I'm all about.
Bless up! 🙏🏾🙌🏾
