Widget - Add to Home Screen Reviews

I’m still fairly new to widgets but this was a neat concept and works well except for one thing; the clock time isn’t accurate and will fall behind considerably. One reviewer commented on this issue back in October. I’m writing this in March. That’s five months with Widget developers not fixing it.

I like Widget, mostly for its customization options, but there is a semi-serious issue: widgets take too long to update their content. I have a customized date&time this app and I can see its time isn’t changing. I hope this issue will be fixed soon (then I’ll change these stars to 5 😉)

I like how I can customize the widgets only downside everytime I scroll to a different font it’s looks the same. Purchased Widget thinking it was because I needed to own the premium version... I was wrong. You guys don’t have more than ten fonts.. and it seems like you guys do but all the fonts you select don’t even change when selected. When I clicked symbols no symbols show up.... if I can use more fonts than the ten that are actually different from the rest I would of have it more stars. I wasted money thinking the fonts would be unlocked.

UPDATE: Ok, the fix for the clock lasted only an hour, now the clock is back to being way off. Again, tried refresh rates of Automatic and every second. Still doesn’t work right.

The last update fixed the this app refresh issue, and Widget now works fantastic! I love the customization abilities of Widget and the widgets look great! One suggestion I have would be the ability to add more info to the widgets, like weather or activity. Thanks for such a great app!

I love the way you can do what you want with the clock this app but when you make the this app and place it the clock doesn’t update. If that was fixed this would be perfect

I like that because there are so many cute things you can do with it and there’s so many cute backgrounds it is a very good app but what you could fixIs it takes too long to download and it glitched so the-other this app I had I accidentally deleted it it’s not the best app it could be a little better though I only gonna leave it to start the stars never mind I hate Widget so much 👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Should have done more research on Widget. If it did what it was supposed to do, it would be exactly what I have been searching for. Went ahead and paid for the upgraded version. Went to add the widgets I set up and the image shows up for a half second and then is gone. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!! Oh, and did I mention, all of their contact links don’t work?!?! BEYOND UPSET.

hey, i like Widget and like how you can add photos as backgrounds to each this app, but do i have to go premium to 2 or more of the same sized this app, because i was trying to redo my homescreen with actual widgets for the first time and i was trying to have like 2 or three of the small sized this app, and it turns out i can’t have more than one, it just refreshes the one already in there to put it as the updated one, also, the battery does update:(. could Widget people help me, i would appreciate

Since the most recent update my widgets aren’t working. My calendar has been stuck on the same day, weather doesn’t update, and when I try to change them they just turn gray. Hope this gets fixed soon!!

I just purchased your premium app and can get absolutely nothing but the size screen for the date this app. There is no choice for colors, there is no choice for photos, etc. I know it’s only $1.99 one time charge but that one screen was not worth $1.99. There’s nothing that even tells me how to put it on my home screen once I do make it!

I’ve recently downloaded Widget and really thought it was an amazing app and people should download this! Except Widget has a horrible UI and should be redesigned.

The digital clock is slow by about half a minute. It's not in tune with the iOS time in the status bar. Could use larger text options on the medium this app. Otherwise, a nice this app app.

Why did you take away the calendar this app from the side? I used to always use it. I've been using it for about 4 out 5 years now!!! All I had to do was swipe to the right & my calendar was there!!! Now it's not even an option😥😡😥😥 Sorry, but because of that, it's only 1 star for y'all. Please bring it back!!

Love the flexibility and customization options! A couple small suggestions that’d take it over the top:

• Ability to toggle the AM/PM off on times would be wonderful
• In the calendar grid, options for rendering the month name (“November”, “Nov”, “NOV”, etc.)
• Some more date/time rendering options, like “Mon”
• Ability to edit the color hex values directly

Overall a great buy.

I downloaded a this app app so I could have a battery gauge on my Home Screen. The first day it was stuck at 1% (before, during and after charging) and from then on out it was stuck at 2% regardless of the charge. It’s aesthetically pleasing but not very functional

Thank you for Widget. But little bit better Will be there to check a time zoning change

how do you add the this app you made to your home screen?

Everything was great setting up the this app and it turned out great until I noticed the time wasn’t updating. I set the this app to update every minute and then automatically but neither worked.

I love this is perfect you don’t have to pay either..

I loved using the calendar like seeing the whole calendar and being able to tap to the next month. I’m very upset/annoyed having this update. While it is nice I’d rather have the old calendar view back. It was super convenient & is now gone. Rest In Peace

Widget is amazing a few more handy widgets should do the trick but that's nothing an update can't fix maybe a tip calculator or what not and some notification picture frames just to keep up with competitors .. Don't think you would want to lack in futures you could have .. Just saying other then that is a handy app and use full for the battery percentage it lets you not have it in your way in the top of the screen all the time desperately looking at you battery just sink .. Having it in your notifications is nice ..

Widget is great; the interface is simple and the widgets are nice, neat, minimalistic, and tidy. I mainly only use Widget for the battery display as my other this app needs have been filled (the battery themed charge-meter is so simple and so beautiful). However, I have noticed the Weather tracker is pretty poor and I wish that the this app didn't open Widget when pressed.

Addressing those two issues would make this definite 5-star app

it's a simple app but you cant really customize it that much. I can never use the weather part because it's only in celsius (to my understanding) and if it's not it's super hidden and hard to change.

This was a great app until the IOS 8.3 update (I have the iPhone 6). The widgets do not update until the Notification Center is swiped down and then instantly freezes with no movement whatsoever (clock, battery level, weather - all of them) ran fine until then. Also paid for the premium tier several months ago with the promise of of more widgets coming soon - still waiting. Please regain your best status and will gladly re-rate.

Can choose a few different styles of a calendar, a clock, weather, & a battery status. More widgets are promised in the future, but these, for free, are great. If desired, for 99¢, you get several (over twice as many) additional text and background colors.

I was looking for a simple month view calendar to put in the notification Center and I think this is the only free app that has it. I have zero complaints, but I only use it for the monthly calendar view.

Woke up one morning and it was just there, on my homepage.... so i opened it and gave it a shot, used the weather, battery and week/date.... weather is only in Celsius and battery is always "full" even if you have 1%, and lets be honest the date is in 3 easy to see spots already and most people just know it.... use at your own risk, but i recommend sticking to the free verision

Widget is doing the weather correctly.
It is not in Fahrenheit. It is in Celsius, clearly the makers of Widget aren't in the United States, which is one of the only countries that uses Fahrenheit.
What I do wish is that Widget would give you a choice of Fahrenheit, so people wouldn't make the mistake of not picking up on that.

As everyone else has stated the weather only reads Celsius. I would give Widget 5 stars if I could change it to Fahrenheit because all the other apps work great.

I love Widget. It has so many useful widgets that are very aesthetically pleasing. But if you could add Widget to the iPad, that would be even better.

Time dates appointments they all work. However the weather this app i cannot get to work and have run into this on both phones i have and other friends too. Weather doesnt refresh and shows wrong information. Weather this app was only reason i downloaded Widget ....

The clock doesn't even appear in notifications and the weather is usually wrong. I even paid the .99 to make sure I was getting their full version. The Digital Clocks are faded out as are some other themes I other categories. Come on guys. FIX IT!!

After going to work with no coat or umbrella because I trusted Widget I'm deleting. The weather is completely wrong and I'm cold and wet. It doesn't seem to be a location setting, just never updates consistently.

It's nice but it doesn't work too well on ios 10...

With Widget you get all you need. An the calendar this app has been fixed. Thanks for the update.
