Kitchen Stories: Recipes Reviews

Hello everyone who can see this. This is my absolute first time I’ve been inside this much organized processing of a cookbook. I only shared a #4 because I certainly haven’t learned anything yet, just came in and read the edges to see what the excitement is all about. I finally opened it and my mind is blown. Is this something a simple minded, HS level educations person can jump into both feet first or shall we go in toes first and get out quickly? What is, THE STORY, about KitchenStories? It appears free from all I’ve initially read which is minimal. Is this like a game where you learn as you go and the reward is by doing your best and learning to build on the simplistic or is there a secret you figure out on your way to your first step, then completion of your first successful recipe? I guess it might be, I’m writing about something I’m not knowledgeable enough about, at that in itself, difficult. I guess part of learning is by making mistakes and laughing at yourself. So could you please just bounce off a few thoughts to get someone interested to get started and make it more clear, what’s in this for you, as someone who obviously loves to cook and share vs. someone whose tired of the same ole same ole that would like to learn more about making less taste better and actually provide a healthier, more filling morsel, snack, meal, buffet.

This is generally a great app but then Kitchen Stories food editors really need to work on how to write recipe instructions. There will be equipment listed, such as a blender, and then no information about its use. Ingredients are randomly listed in both the ingredients lists and directions. One has to guess when they’re to be used and, if they have a divided use, it becomes even more confusing. I’m an experienced cook but KitchenStories seems oriented to young people out on their own for the first time, who are looking to learn how to cook interesting recipes but who don’t have a lot of practice, so it’s pretty confusing for them. I recognize that there is a translation issue with some recipes but that doesn’t explain the lack of information or the scrambled order of instruction. I like the recipes best that come with people doing full videos, the Szechuan Dumpling recipe is amazing, as was the Chicken Tikka Masala. So the recipes are quite good but need better editing.

It doesn’t get any better than this, a woman owned app (not because of stereotypes but because we have to support our women) KitchenStories has so much detail to it you have videos, ingredients which you can add to a shopping list, you have instructions and reviews from others! Everything is perfect about KitchenStories if you want to learn how to cook or even if you’re just looking for some new good recipes this is KitchenStories that gives you all the support even when you want to up your servings it will change the amount of ingredients right in KitchenStories . It’s just lovely.

I have to say this is the most impressive cooking app I’ve ever used. Love that there are no ads. Love that you can easily toggle the servings and then quantities are updated, there are built in conversions. Love that each step has the ingredient quantity listed at the top of the step, and there’s a “cooking mode” where you only view one step at a time. The videos and pics are high quality. International reviews are translated to my language. As a software developer, I kinda have a crush on this UX. It’s so well thought out. Can’t believe I’m only just finding KitchenStories! It’s amazing!

I have been scrolling through it and finding so much recipes from contributors and other people around the world 💕 I’m soooo glad that its free for everyone, I haven’t seen any ads or like in app purchases which i adore so it wouldn’t stop anyone from learning. I truly fell in love with the videos that the people in their team show how to assemble a piping bag or even how to beat butter and sugar. As a first time baker, its the best! I truly love it. I also see some contributors in KitchenStories answering questions from people and show alternative. It’s literally the best thing ever.

Ever since I got KitchenStories , I have never had the thought of what to cook for breakfast lunch or dinner. If you add KitchenStories into your widgets, it will give you daily recipes for you to follow. My favorite has been the wild mushroom risotto. All the recipes are very good and they have how to videos to show you every steps of the way in case you stumble upon some hiccups on your culinary journey. Th app has also introduced to me new ingredients I have never heard of or different combinations I have never tried before. KitchenStories is definitely a good app to start cooking with.

I’m a very visual learner, so of course I am afraid of cookbooks and recipes out of magazines... so I subscribed to one of the many food subscriptions that sends a meal to your door... I will never waste my money on that again. I was blown away when I just tapped a grocery list button and when to the store to purchase everything. KitchenStories is AMAZING. I made my very first lasagna from scratch and with KitchenStories I was able to make the most delicious recipe!! My family is going to be very happy from now on!

I love KitchenStories! I stumbled upon it months ago and have since spent countless hours perusing recipes, articles and video tutorials, and of course, cooking with it! I look forward to opening KitchenStories every day to check out the new content and end up finding a new recipe to save to my cookbook tab. I consider myself an advanced-intermediate home cook and think cooks of any level from beginner to advance would enjoy and learn from KitchenStories!

“Learn how to cook”. This has been my New Years resolution every year for I don’t know how long. I’m 30 years old. It’s time. It wasn’t until a friend recommended KitchenStories that it’s finally starting to happen. I use it every week. The “how-to” videos are great, especially the basic ones. It lets you know that you are not alone and others are benefiting from these videos too. I look forward to digging deeper and perfecting my newfound craft!

PROS:
KitchenStories inspired me to actually cook; the recipe pages are often all-inclusive (ingredients with each step, in-step timers), making the process very convenient. It features countless unique recipes that I’d never find by just casual searching on the net.

Staff often reply on their recipe comment sections, showing good engagement.

There are NO advertisements—a blessing! The interface is super clean and easy to navigate.

CONS:
My minor dig is that the in-app recipe database seems young still; searching for specific recipes may yield too-specialized results at times, however it’s a great app for scrolling to find “what do I want to make this week?” and you can find tasty meals you wouldn’t even have imagined!

Also sometimes the staff recipes will have an ingredient that is hard to find in rural/suburban areas (creme fraiche for example) so suggested substitutions could be helpful.

Downloaded KitchenStories then kept flipping through different recipes. Finally I gave in and tried one, “Baked Pesto rigatoni”. Totally hooked, the various skill levels are a great addition. Don’t worry about your abilities just jump in. Step by step instructions aren’t enough for you then you’re in luck there videos too.
Get started before they realize how awesome this is and start to charge for this wonderful application.

Anyone can prepare and enjoy great nutritious food at home. The recipes are fantastic, with step by step visual instruction, and run the gamut from the simplest to the most complex dishes. By far the best feature is the library of. ‘HOW TO” videos (“how to cot an onion”, ‘“how to spatchcock a chicken”, ‘How to prepare ...”, e t c ) Sometimes the ingredient can be tricky to locate, but there are usually suggestion for substitutes either from the recipes themselves, the notes supplied by readers who try the recipes t home, or both.

At first I really liked KitchenStories . Until it kept freezing and then anything I favored, it was disappearing. It kept saying I had to create a profile when I know I had created one.
I never got a answer to my question about is this a App that has to be paid monthly.
I am going to delete KitchenStories because after 3 tries of having to do a forced reload of KitchenStories I am done.
Can’t enjoy a App anymore for good recipes and How-To’s.
Most of the video How-To’s are not even in English, so constantly having to read subtitles and not watch the How-To’s of how the recipes are getting created is tiresome.

I love KitchenStories. I use it almost weekly if not daily. The variety of recipes in KitchenStories I could cook for days. I think that anyone that loves to cook should get KitchenStories, it is also easy for beginner cooks. My only complaint is that they changed their video format which is a lot more like tasty. I liked old version of videos better. It was easier to follow along and understand. Other then that I recommend KitchenStories to everyone.

What a wonderful resource! They give the best ideas for recipes for beginners to the seasoned cook without making anyone feel not worthy. I get excited about checking for new videos and recipes and love that they give people from the world “community” the ability to submit recipes whenever they want. They thoughtful think of ways to educate anyone who’s willing to learn.

And how you can make delicious meals that are healthy and not worrying about if someone put anything bad in your food. I like the process of cooking because you try new things and it is a work of art. And I cant wait to start cooking!

I love KitchenStories. It reveals food and the origins of food from around the world. The kitchen app team work hard to provide one of the best classic recipes. It also encourages learners to cook, making cooking fun. The step by step recipes are easy to follow and often come with videos on how to make them. I encourage you to download KitchenStories. You will learn a lot about cooking with KitchenStories and learn awesome recipes and classics from around the world.

For years I’ve enjoyed Kitchen Stories for being an elegant solution for discovering recipes that have clean, clear steps to follow. I love being able to add my own recipes and the method for input is fantastic. The only issue I’ve had is being able to put fractions as amounts of items. The implantation of choosing non-whole numbers seems hidden in plain sight and i wish i were to natively input fractions via the keyboard.

This is the cleanest user interface and app for a messy afternoon cooking food. This experience has allowed me to cook food more often and made me aware of the ingredients that go into my food, not to just be a mash of food, but a mash of complimentary ingredients. The only thing I would recommend is to be ready to set some time aside to try these delicious recipes on your own.

I’m not a cook so this makes it easy. The videos and tips are very helpful. One thing I would suggest is after you save a recipe it would be nice if I could add my own notes. This way I could truly make it mine. For example I could save my own notes to my saved recipe to substitute items and it would not change the recipe for anyone else seeing how it is save under my recipes. Overall, great job. Keep up the good work.

I discovered KitchenStories in the top charts and have been glued to it for over an hour! Forget Instagram, Kitchen Stories is just as addicting if not more! I love the clean and simple feel of all the videos, How To section is a treasure chest, and the collection of recipes is so perfect! I had to favorite almost every one I clicked on, and I’m just getting started. Whether you enjoy cooking or looking for inspiration to eat better/healthier/homemade - you’ll love Kitchen Stories!

I have tried so many recipes and they all have been yummy. They make the directions so easy and go by step by step so you don't get lost. They provide a video and step by step instructions. This has helped me have ideas to cook for my family, it's hard to come up with ideas during the week and the shopping list is so helpful to! Love love KitchenStories!!

KitchenStories is elegant, easy-to-use, and exactly what I have been looking for in a cooking app. The section about supporting the team let me know their vision for KitchenStories and I love the content that is being supported! Keep up the great work and this will be a required download every time I get a new device!

KitchenStories is great for people who want to practice cooking and get access to some great recipes...except that you can’t bookmark how to videos! It would be great to be able to somehow flag videos of skills you want to try for later without having to try recall without a reference. I’d up my rating to 5 stars if this were an option because it is one of the main reasons I want to use KitchenStories.

I have just found KitchenStories and I am thrilled! The information provided in the “how to” videos is easy to understand, and this will definitely step up my current level of cooking! If you want to put the flair into your cooking repertoire, this is definitely “the” app for you!

KitchenStories is incredible, but there is one thing I would love to have and that's custom grocery lists. Just being able to create a grocery list that doesn't correspond to a recipie would be helpful when you aren't shopping for only 1 recipie. The Watch app would show the general shopping list and make grocery shopping so convenient!

Love the recipes, blogs, and videos that go along with KitchenStories ! It’s perfect for both my husband (a novice in the kitchen) and me (experienced but looking to add new skills). I actually look forward to the emails from kitchen stories with new seasonal tips! 10/10, I’d recommend to anyone.

KitchenStories is beautifully designed. It’s not just recipes, it’s healthy options that will make those starting out in the kitchen want to cook.
One suggestion I would add is an alternative page. For example not everyone is familiar with Tahini sauce. It will take some frustration when cooking.

Love the overall navigation and a beautiful images as well as instructional information what I don’t like is the slowness of the videos to load. But will use KitchenStories and get back to you about whether not it will become part of my habit.
