Please forward to your IT department because some additional things are needed on your website.  My main group is Earth Science/Earth Systems The link to join it is ******, It says that anyone with the link can join.  Now I made a topic in the group, called Graham Cracker Activity. When I try to share it with my students*******You will see that students can not join unless I approve them, even though it is in the group anyone with the link can join.  I offer my Flipgrid to my public school and online students. As soon as parents or students try to upload their work it comes across the screen they are not able to post til I approve. That is not the way Flipgrid use to be so something is wrong. I have reported it to Flipgrid support, and at first your reps act like they can't redo the same steps and see it-so I have attached the steps and explained it with attachments to show the steps. Then I was told by another rep to just approve the students that would like to post. That is not possible. When we assign work, we should not have to visit Flipgrid over and over multiple times a day to approve it so students can post. If the teacher sets the group to "anyone with a link can join" then it should be the same for topics. If you can't do that then please offer the option to change it to "anyone with the link can join" for topics. I have a lot of experience with website development and this is an easy fix for your IT if you will just forward and take the issue seriously. Many teachers are affected by this, and if your goal is to help us then please fix this website issue.  I have recommended your site to as many teachers I have come in contact with. I work in the school system part time, teach online to help homeschoolers, and write curriculum for companies. I have been recommending how great your site is since 2016. At this point I can not recommend your site anymore because so many teachers keep coming back to me to let me know about this same issue. I let them know I have reported it but I think we so many other options online you are going to lose a lot of clients if you don't look into this issue.  Thank you,Jennifer Collins

Good afternoon, We are having some issues with a teacher who is trying to get Flipgrid set up with her first graders. We walked her through getting her group set up and created her first grid. We tested it out with two of her students but the camera would not work. We closed out and signed in again and it gave us the option for the basic camera but with that many extra instructions the teacher is leaning towards not using it. We are using a Chromebook which only has the internal camera. We tried two different student accounts and two different chromebooks. We also came back to the office and tested it with another student, a different group/class, and a different chromebook. All had the same result. We signed in with the group code and then Gmail, and we also went in through Google classroom and neither one worked. I am including some screenshots of what happened. We also know that the camera itself was working because we used a QR code badge to sign the students into the computer. Please help us!

Wondering if Flipgrid is looking to add the ability to archive groups. Teachers create many groups each year and their dashboard gets full. While you can hide a group from others seeing it, the teacher still has it on the dashboard. Would be a great feature!!

I received a message yesterday that a video one of my students submitted was flagged as inappropriate. Can you give me some details about that video. I do want to address it with the student and the details will help me to communicate the issue. Thanks, Judy Jenkins judy.jenkins@redacted

I have given my students the "code" for their discussion but they are ending up in another class & can not find their videos. Can you tell me how to correct this? Also is there a support phone number?

My students have been having issues with accessing their Flipgrids during remote learning, so now I am trying to do it just through the Flipgrid app and not have them access it through Canvas, but I can't figure out how to make my account not linked to Canvas anymore. Please help! When they put in the code, their screen now says "The code you entered is for a Canvas Course. This course is only accessible via the Canvas app or website." I created this topic in the Flipgrid app and did not do it in Canvas, but my account is now linked to Canvas, how can I disconnect that?

My students can't access my flipgrids. I have checked everything and can't figure out what the problem is. It is on active and I have the correct domain for them to join. When they click on the link it says join code not found. I'm using this as an assessment tomorrow and need for them to be able to access it. I wish you all had a contact number. I put in old flip grid links that they already completed just to see if those would work and those too will not work anymore.

I have been looking for Customer Service or Technical Support number everywhere, but no able to find one. I have several FlipGrid accounts. This semester I would like to open up 2 new grids but I think I need a Consumer key for integration to my existing accounts. I don't want to open up a new account if I don't have to. None of the Grids I have created work. HELP!! It is probably something simple and maybe a technician can walk me through it. Please reach out as soon as possible! Thank you, Clarisa

Created a school account in summer and just started experimenting. I was able to create a topic video, insert the link. In a Google classroom, type in the join code for topic and it seems like it should work with students however, when I watch tutorial videos my main page doesn't say "My Grids". When I go to Actions there are no choices for grids actions.... I feel like I might have set up my account incorrectly when I 1st joined.... Thanks for your help Jane Borselli

When I pre-record a video and upload it in flipgrid, I get a black screen. My video plays, but it's not showing my picture. Please help.

I can use Zoom just fine. I cannot get my camera to access Flipgrid. I am getting the black screen that tells me to set the camera to always. I have no always setting, just an allowed setting. I am using Google Chrome/windows 10. The camera icon next to the URL doesn't have an X on it. In setting it says Flipgrid is allowed to use the camera. Just used Zoom so internal camera setting are correct. I am a teacher trying to record for the first time and was planning on using this all year. School starts Monday so hopefully I will hear back over the weekend.

This was my first attempt to use Flipgrid in my 4th/5th classroom today. I studies how to use Flipgrid over the summer, created two flipgrids for the beginning of school (today), got the kids on Google Classroom, clicked on the Flipgrid link and it said it was experiencing difficulties and to try back later. It didn't come back and I moved on. We played Kahoot, so at least they learned how to do that. I'm super disappointed I wasn't able to use Flipgrid, and I really hope if I plan to use it again, on Monday, it won't let me down again. Looking forward to using Flipgrid. Hoping for the best, not sure what to expect. Not a good feeling. Ms. Huber

Way too inconsistent

Riddle me this, I just put hours into a video I had to shoot for a class and when I go to edit all the segments to perfect them, it decides not to load them up, I was literally looking at a black screen. I tried pausing and unpausing the video, and it wouldn’t load up, I tried watching each piece by itself and it still wouldn’t load up. Heck, just to confirm it wasn’t on my end I switched from WiFi to LTE - still nothing. Then within moments it’s just gone, the entirety of my video gone. Are you kidding me? Hours of work down the drain because this app couldn’t function like it’s supposed to. Also, I was within my time limit too! The teacher gave us up to 10 minutes for this video and I was at 8:34! There is no excuse for this. This app does not function like it should. Very poor user interface. Hey kids, if your teachers are wanting you to use this app for any school related thing, do everything in your power to get them to not. Worst app out there for video assignments. One star rating if that.

It’s not fair to all of the platforms

Filpgrid is a great app to be honest but sometimes it isn’t fair! First of all, why is there different features for different platforms? The mobile/iPad/tablet platforms can let the user have the rainbow brush while the PC versions don’t have one? Also, one the mobile/iPad/tablet have the black outlines or some sort of outline on the text? While the PC has no outline? And also can’t adjust too much of the text (such as, making it squeezed together, reverse the text and etc.) Some features are great but are on different devices, which I consider isn’t fair. Second, when typing the text on mobile/iPad/tablet I can’t even see what I’m typing at all. I have to guess what I’m typing which is really hard. Im just a student typing this but... Note to the devs: Please make all features possible on all platforms and make it all the same (somewhat; but please remove the outline of the texts I don’t like it.) It just makes the program be more fair like. PLEASE SEE THIS!!!! thank you

More Frustrating than Efficient

I rarely take the time to write a review, but this app can make me soooo annoyed. It CONSTANTLY glitches (like every day) in the most inconvenient ways possible. And the software is just clunky as heck. I just uploaded a video that took me a half-hour to make (p.s. two minutes for a response is not enough), and I look under the topic and it’s not even there. Nowhere to be found. Additionally, I posted a video to the wrong topic because I can’t see what topic I’m posting to when I’m actually in the process of uploading. I have to trust myself that I clicked the right one before. Also, I can’t delete my videos as a responder to topics, and I can’t upload videos as a response if it decides to glitch. It makes my teaching experience worse because I literally have to put aside feelings of frustration constantly. I love the idea of this app, and most of it works okay, but it needs to be much more efficient. It feels as if you make a small mistake, it’s completely irreversible.
