Easy and fun to use! The free version allows you to create a one word bubble which is cool for adding an exclamation. It doesn’t add crazy watermarks and didn’t try and force me to upgrade every two seconds. Spending the $3.99 to unlock the rest was BEYOND WORTH IT.

After getting a hang of the free then upgrading I very quickly made an elaborate looking comic out of some of my nieces photos and ended up gifting her ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite too. It’s been a great way for us to connect since we can’t hang out together during social distancing. (Can we get an undo button in the next update?)

I’ve been looking for a good app to use for my comics. I came across this, and decided to try it, but was greatly disappointed. At first it looked great! And if your just wanting to add some stickers and 1 word to a photo this will be a great app for you! My problem is the word limit. With this limit it is impossible to create comics without a lot of extra work, and if you try to go over it you get slapped in the face with a “buy more” and what not. So if your a comic creator looking for a editing app, this will be a waste of your time. I just want to say good job to the team or person who made this, however this really won’t be creating any authentic looking comics...

I really like what you can get from this after putting through a ringer and other apps afterwards. It does the “comic” stuff better than other app so the design limitations really annoying. No lower cases of fonts? What’s the point if you can only fit a sentence or two tops to a “comic page”? Options are actually cut off in the interface, resizing text is disconnected from the bubbles. And everything created in a long rectangle means making square comics is near impossible so takes at least another app and tons of resizing. I’d buy the full one if I thought I could do any of that but those are basic design elements so it’s unlikely. I’ll revisit it and use it when I’m feeling really patient.

I just made my first comic panels using ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite! Love it. Easy to drop and drag everything from photos, text, and stickers. I used LEGO and photography. If you are an illustrator, this is probably not what you want. No brushes or filters. But it fit my needs perfectly! I tried 4 other apps, and they were too complicated for simple photo/text work. I sent my pages to online comic guys, and they said the lettering was better than theirs! Thanks so much for creating this and sharing it at a reasonable cost!

Late changes have increase difficulty of use. The older version was an easier to use interface. Even though the final product is the same, improvements should be made to cropping tools, picture to picture sticker editing tools with custom photo save options and the final product saving options overall. Sharing to social media is not necessary if you don’t have social media standard resolution templates. Overall use of ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite should be fixed for improvements as soon as posible.

Originally this was a mediocre app. mostly because there are other apps that are not even concentrating on this genre doing a much better job for the same money. Secondly, Updates are almost nonexistent and the ones that do rarely appear ACTUALLY MAKE ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite LESS FUNCTIONAL
The last update has totally screwed up sizing your bubble to a point where it’s near impossible to get your bubble small enough that it doesn’t obscure your background image!

The low res stickers look like they were taken from a Kindergarten wall.

Try You Doodle Pro for much better text options.....

The idiotic developer response given to my feedback is not only insulting, it is typical of a small minded individual who believes reviews should remain static even after ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite has been demolished by incompetent updates and mediocre self described “improvements”.

I like it . It's convenient and fast in my iPad. Not expecting profesional results ( go buy a $400 photoshop program for that ) . What do you expect for $4 ?
It's fun for making my silly comics on the go ,and is the best app I found for this .
More filters and special effects would be nice though . Night vision would be great ( hope you guys are listening ) , rain, snow etc...
Overall , I give it a 9 . Easy , relativity fast and FUN, and that's what is supposed to be . Want to create a twenty page comic strip buy a computer . And a $ 400 photoshop program , and then learn how to use it lol

I was unable to complete a simple text bubble without spending 3.99 in the first minute. I can understand if I was trying to use special items (stickers, fonts etc), but I was asked no less than a dozen times to pay 3.99! I have no problem purchasing apps or packages I would like or use, but this was supposed to be a free app with optional upgrades- and it is not. It’s dishonest to make it seem to be something it’s not, and then force the user to pay 3.99 to continue. The “free” option on App Store should be removed, and ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite should be listed at the full cost, otherwise it is misleading and frustrating.

I play different miniature games and like to take photos of the games. ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite lets me add so much more meaning to the photos. Now when I go back to photos of past games I remember what was happening and why I took that photo. I’ve even made a short narrative comic book of some of my games. It’s the perfect way to join the visual aspect of the game with the narrative of the miniatures in the game.

this was a simple to use fun creative tool. It recently changed and now it is completely useless for me. It has always been a little clunky on the UI side of things but i got the hang of it. Now it’s completely useless leaving me with all kinds of thing on the field i cannot edit. Each phase of creation is a one shot deal with no take backs without completely starting over.

I used to love ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite, and it served me well in my work as an aspiring comic artist. However, as of the most recent update, there’s a severe restriction on how small I can make the speech bubbles. Even when reduced to minimum size, they’re still so huge that it’s impossible to place them without obscuring important things, including the characters. This is extremely frustrating because I rely on ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite for my work and now it’s basically useless to me. Is there still a way to make speech bubbles smaller, and if so, why did it change?

I love ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite! It’s quick and easy to load, and with the help of a couple other apps free or cheap apps (generating characters and backgrounds) you can make some really awesome looking comics very quickly!

My only complaint is that the panel sizes are not especially customizable. If you want a layout that isn’t in the list of premise panels, you’re out of luck. Space-wise They fit easily into my phone, but this means I can only make phone-shaped strips. Would be nice if one could zoom out a bit, or change panel ratios/angles.

Drag and drop for speech bubbles and pictures is great! Functions much better than I expected.

Well worth paying for the full version.

Updates to “fix various bugs” actually add bugs and remove functions within ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite .
Last one caused the rotation arrows to permanently stick on and now the ability to edit a balloon is gone. Paint brush does nothing.
Bought this and now got expected to produce a regular project.
Now I’m not sure it will work any more!

Apps come and go from my phone. But this one has lasted longer than most because because it is simply just what I need when in need it. When I want to add a speech bubble to a picture of my dog, ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite gives me multiple bubble styles to choose and plenty of tweaking (font, font size, spacing, bubble traits, etc)

I love ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite! For last few years I’ve used Meme Producer and now it has so many bugs it shut downs before I’m finished. ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite allows you to take your meme creativity into the world of comic book flare. I create memes with a comic book touch, and people love them. You will not be disappointed!! Great product, I highly recommend!!

First of all, ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite is amazing!! If you want to make an amazing comic definitely get ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite. But, there are no backgrounds you need to use your own picture. And if you’re in the middle of a comic and your device dies, it won’t be saved automatically and you’ll have to start again. Incredible App!!!!!!

I’ve been using ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite for a few days now and it’s made some hilarious comics out of my photos. One thing that I would ask is that we be able to color in the background to match the borders so if the picture doesn’t lineup correctly with the template it doesn’t make it so obvious.

I love that they allow you to test things out throughly so you don't blindly buy expecting one thing but getting another. It's a very reasonable low price and you don't have to subscribe. I bought the full version after playing around with the options for only 10 minutes.

It’s a great app to make comics on (I look for stuff like this a lot because I LOVE making comics) but it’s a little hard to use and you can’t really make a bunch of comic stuff I also like that there is a free version but back to the point I think it is a good app. Overall it’s a good app but I suggest getting the pay-for version, good work on improving your app your making it better!

I’ve never had a problem with ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite. It’s easy and almost self-explanatory. The learning curve is not deep at all. ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite has never frozen on me.

I have the paid version but it’s WELL WORTH the cost and the value is unbelievable. Do yourself a favor and pay the few dollars for that version. Well worth it!!

My partner and I have a comic series we write and before we had to use photoshop to get it made but ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite made it 100 times better. It has a lot of great tools to make any comic you want. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because on the iPhone it has a tendency to slow down when you write a lot. The iPad is better for ComicCaptionMemeMakerLite. Other then that we love it
