I’ve been using Start Page as my main search engine for over a year. My favorite thing is that you can print from it, something that Mozilla Black doesn’t seem capable of. Second fav thing is that if you’re going back and forth between apps your search results don’t instantly VANISH.
I have experienced a few odd results where they should’ve been obviously detailed, but these may have been due to outside factors—late software updates on the iPhone perhaps.
Overall I really really like it. It’s generally better than Duck Duck Go, and I love being freed from the shackles of demon google!!

I’m an activist, truther, research scientist, conspiracy hypothesis hacking, justice seeking human that would like to just keep it real with the layman society created by tv, movies and radio ADVERTISING. I use the net as my hands on library when I need quick information to substantiate claims I have to make against the matrix I was born into. Thanks to startpage and any others co.’s that focus on simple privacy!!!!!! It’s like, if u don’t have curtains on the windows, anyone can see inside!! Well, I hope to further learn how in the future we can all defeat the machine that continues to believe it will one day be as efficient as the human brain.

All users want is a solid, quick and uncluttered search engine. StartpagePrivateSearch fills the void. I've tried others that are more concerned with bling to the outright ruination of what was a solid engine. Others track, filter and censor results and that after you sit there waiting for their cute scripts, graphics and ads to load.

Startpage is a solid, no frills and reasonably quick engine that doesn't snoop, filter or censor results...as far as I can tell. Thank you for just giving us what we want and need. Other devs/apps need to learn from your example. Nice job.

It’s too much, with all these Search Engines buying into your private life, I’m sick & tired of hearing about people’s identity being stolen and also all of our information being sold to companies so they can bother us via email, phones etc. it’s annoying and rude!

I’ve used StartPage for many years. It’s the only search engine I trust. It works great, too.

Also we get results to relevant news and information that the mainstream search engines like duck duck go. Google, Bing. Yahoo, etc block from unsuspecting users.

I’d like to see larger text in results and web pages and the ability to zoom pages however.

I tried duck duck go on safari and was stunned at the amount of cookies they push on you by default just by opening safari. Facebook and all sorts of things the list was long. And that was before even searching. I don’t even have a Facebook account yet duck duck go decided on its own that they’re going to enviro them to mine me for whatever data they wanted.o wanted to delete safari based on that principle alone but apparently I can’t how rude.

Scammed again, ill check back and see if google sensors this review, or if apple sensors it. Front page* enhanced by google. Every key stroke is logged and recorded. Face it. The days of internet privacy is over. Go ahead and log away. The only thing you'll find me searching for are the avenues to become a sovereign citizen, land patents, constitutional rights, God given rights, and a bunch of weird porn to give you something to ‘have on me’ while i redeem my birth account and get free from the corporate fiction of the united states as an indentured slave. Nice try losers. All of you looking for privacy need quantum incription, or better.... fight fire with fire. Big brother is recording and watching you. Wwg1wga!

With data privacy in the news this search engine is just what I hoped existed. The searches yield cleaner more helpful results. The first page doesn’t seem bogged down with sales website links. It seems more like just the facts—what a search engine should reflect. Thanks for providing this service!!!

This is the most secure search engine I have ever used. Been using Startpage for over two years and it has delivered on privacy ALWAYS! It the only one my wife uses now that the news of the privacy issues with all other search engines and social media platforms. We love it

It is a great search engine, and I have used it for the past year or 2 and it has been great. But the reason I didn’t give it a five stars is the border. Could you fix the borders to the full screen because it annoys me when searching up something. Summary: Great search engine and privacy. But please fix the borders.

What a great search engine! I’m seeing more sites on my searches because this one doesn’t block out site the way the big name ones do. I love that my searches are only my business and no one is tracking me. Thank you!

Something has gone terribly wrong with StartpagePrivateSearch since late May. I'm searching from the USA in English, but all of my results are heavily loaded with results from Russian websites, and are usually in Russian. I haven't made any changes to my app settings, and after I started seeing these results I went in and changed my settings to use US servers only, but that didn't help. What the heck went wrong?

I have always liked the search engine StartPage. I’m giving it a low rating because of the lack of integration of StartpagePrivateSearch with iOS. It should give the user a choice, perhaps under settings, to open a resulting page in a different App (Safari, Chrome, etc.) or at the minimum to be able to share the result.

Please update for the iPhone X screen! Thanks for a great product, I browse the web with complete confidence regarding privacy.... It's been a long time since an update, are you still supporting StartpagePrivateSearch ?

I love the service, but the 10 year old design aesthetic keeps me from using StartpagePrivateSearch . I've reverted to using the new safari web design of Startpage as an "add to home screen" app, or even just using DuckDuckGo's app. Please update StartpagePrivateSearch design to match the new browser design.

This was my constant go-to search app for years. In the last three weeks it has become virtually useless. Perform a search and get esoteric useless garbage. Has startpage been purchased by google who then changed the parameters so that searches now turn up nothing but useless drivel? Not sure what happened but StartpagePrivateSearch is not even close to StartpagePrivateSearch it was up until three weeks ago... something is rotten in Denmark.
