BiTaksi - Your Taxi! Reviews

My cousin sent me a taxi through BiTaksi the driver showed up within 1 min. Upon arrival he tells me NO ENGLISH! And shows me the gps destination I tell him ok and yes. We get near and he’s still few blocks away and it’s wet and raining out lightly and he says no more pay now!! Starts to demand money I told him it’s been paid through BiTaksi and to call my cousins number that’s on BiTaksi he refuses and signals that he can’t call anyone through BiTaksi and the whole time keeps the meter running. Then he drives off with me to the Main Street stops in front of Naz Hotel and I ole with him to let me go out and find someone who can translate he agrees. I found 2 people who speak English and both refused to help. Eventually one employee from the hotel gives me the wifi so I called my cousins and they came within 8 mins just as the police came. In the end we were forced to pay this CROOK 100 when it was only meant to be 79 and we were away from our destination.
DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE BiTaksi DRIVERS WILL SCAM YOU!!! THEY’LL ACT STUPID TAKE WRONG ROUTES ANYTHING THEY CAN DO TO SCAM YOU!! DO NOT USE BiTaksi!!!

There is not much difference between BiTaksi or the process which should be somehow (regulated)
Drivers STILL do not turn in the meter sometimes. Or they do charge you MORE even if the meter says a number. They want more ! They don’t give change back unless you ask( I always give more as a tip). And the worst part they still Drivers have the choice to take you or not! They asked me where I’m going to and they say they can’t? I was at mall if istanbul and all taxis asks for 150 instead of the 45-55 I always pay for the same pick up. Drop off location. If you at a tourist attraction point they will NOT come. Because they know they can find a tourist who will agree to their added price !!
Many times the meter starts more than what is suppose to start. The opening rate should be 5.5 lira. Many times they have it at 8-9 lira !!

I used BiTaksi once 3 weeks ago. I asked for a taxi from hotel to the airport. BiTaksi said i should pay 139 tl so I ordered a taxi. I can say i felt safe because it was 4 am and i was kinda worried. But unfortunately when we arrived the driver asked for 199 tl and when i asked way he showed me a screen from BiTaksi that said 199 tl, i was shocked but I didn’t accept to pay more. Since I cannot speak Turkish, he didn’t try more and said bye. Idk why but unfortunately I didn’t ask costumer service to call me. But ig it’s a bug for BiTaksi and drivers shouldn’t be able to ask for more money.
Ps: I followed the way from google map and I understood he used the longest way to the airport.

BiTaksi worked once but hasn’t worked on mine or my wife’s phones to run the payment. We have to pay the drivers directly.
When it first happened we already left the cab because we thought it was paid so they kept calling us asking us to pay but it wouldn’t work. We called our bank and they said it’s the merchants end that’s not working. In the end we had to depend on locals to translate over the phone, get a hold of the driver, get the drivers bank info, and they paid them directly then we paid the locals cash. It didn’t update on BiTaksi so we can’t even use it because it says we still owe, but they did stop calling so I guess they know we paid. I use BiTaksi on my phone since my wife’s is the one that got disabled for non payment.

Nice app and good service.
However noticed one weird thing ( is it bug or intentionally not sure ). App working flawlessly while connected to wi-fi spot. When it comes to LTE connectivity- no way. I cannot even search for required address. When trying to set destination location directly on map, same problem - cannot set it hence app becomes just useless.
I am using roaming while at Istanbul, but don’t think that this was the reason. Internet and other apps ( which need internet connectivity) just flying. Except of BiTaxi. Very frustrating.

I decided to use BiTaksi to avoid being scammed by taxi drivers. I fortunately, the first time I used it, the driver did not explained to me that I had to accept the rate on my phone when the ride is over. It said it was something wrong and made me pay to him. After my second ride, I realized after finishing any ride I had to go to my phone and accept the charge. But I can tell you it is much easier and cheaper to travel around Istanbul.

Today I had request of bi taxi but just in front my home another lady took the taxi and went
I wanted to cancel the journey but I couldn’t also I couldn’t ask for another taxi until she arrives

I have been using this map for about two weeks and there have been quite a few times BiTaksi could not find me any taxi. In one occasion, a taxi which came to pick us up from the grocery shopping, as soon as he saw the bags in our hands he took off. In another location, A driver claimed that he did not have cash to give us our change. Over are BiTaksi has a lot of room to improve.

BiTaksi was nothing but problems for me. First of all, my credit card was randomly deleted from BiTaksi and I wasn’t able to add it back because it said it was already in the system. Also, it was almost impossible to get a taxi on BiTaksi and when I did, the driver said we needed to pay in the taxi even though I had selected card payment on BiTaksi and the price was 20% higher than the quoted price. Completely disappointed.

We’ve had great experiences our whole time in Istanbul with this app. Given some of the warnings about scamming tourists, we have been very thankful for the transparency and reliability that BiTaksi provides. Seems to remove a lot of the risk, and we’ve had good service.

Im going to go to turkey...would you please do me a faver and tell me how can i change it’s language to english?

Maybe connected may not
Was playing trip to Turkey and online says this is a good app for getting cabs signed up in the morning placed my credit card information in and by the evening someone has use my credit card in turkey Istanbul can’t say 100% it’s from this but it was the only thing I placed my info in and the bank says it’s from it

These taxi drivers are rude
They never show up
2 minutes away becomes 20 minutes because they purposely drive away keeping you there just waiting and waiting and these Drivers won’t cancel the ride, they want you to cancel so they can get cancellation fees from you. Total rip off

Please learn from Uber and lift the American company And see how much they are easy to use and see how they make connection between them and google map. Or let them work here instead of you.

I sent them emails many times asking for help to use my Turkish credit card in BiTaksi , it never sends the required 3d secure text (even though the card works in other Turkish websites). Their support never responds to you, which is not good sign if you want an Uber-like company that protects you from scams.

For someone cant speak turkish its good to send photo from location (example in airport) it will be good to driver find you easier

Alot of taxi drivers are rude and ignore and cancel whenever they feel like it. I hope those taxi dont go unpunished for leaving us under the rain sometimes

BiTaksi used to be great but now it crashes with a "response could not be serialised" error that doesn't go away even sometimes after a phone restart. It is unfortunately no longer usable for me.

Used BiTaksi to get to airport only to find the credit card payments don’t go thru , even though was able to add my Amex, visa and MC, but neither one worked in BiTaksi. Had barely enough cash on my in dollars , driver was not happy.

This is the worst app i have ever seen. Taxi all over the place but non turn on there meters. Sent multiple request and non respond. What a joke on an app or company. And the ones that take you charge there own rate and pocket the money. Horrible

Finally, I found app help me in Istanbul to paid by visa but when it’s rain BiTaksi can’t find any car for me it was a hard time 💔🙂

I like using BiTaksi , but need more improvements such as:
-rate previous rides
-follow up the map when you are in the ride

Be careful to check address after u request becaise it seems to changed

An amazing app, helps you get around with no headache of giving directions or discussing destinations / fares

Really good app, way better than picking a taxi on the street.
