Seems great, so I gave it a shot. First call, couldn’t hear the audio dropped 60 seconds into the call. Call did not drop, no it kept going. They get great reception at home so it wasn’t on their end. But I couldn’t hear the person I was talking to. Called them back from my real number, was fine, so I know SecondTextingNumber was at fault. Next two calls were fine. Fourth call, left a message. That person called me back saying the audio cut out after 60 seconds but the message kept recording. He wanted to know what the rest of the message was, but was also afraid something had happened to me since I seemingly had stopped talking mid sentence. Fifth call, shorted out, after 60 seconds. Called back, it worked. So when it works, it’s great. But it’s crap 60% of the time. My phone never drops calls or has audio issues. But SecondTextingNumber sure does. Worst part is, if I leave a message, no way of knowing if SecondTextingNumber shorted out and the person didn’t get it. Stupid. Unless they fix it, just use *67.

I can’t say enough good things about the above-average level of support I received from Unlisted when I was researching different options for a business line.
Unlisted made the originally frustrating process of trying and picking this kind of service much less frustrating by providing what I needed in a budget-friendly, easy-to-use, and aesthetically pleasing interface. 🙂

I have had wonderful success with his app. Super easy to change your number or add one. Had four at one time and sent a simple email to let Unlisted know that I no longer needed three of them. Not only did they refund me partially on them but were very diligent in getting done.
Customer service is nothing short of amazing. They answer the phone, they respond to emails and they take action when necessary.
I’m very grateful for SecondTextingNumber. It’s versatility alone, dictates that I won’t even look at another app for this service.

I’ve tried all of these 2nd Line phone & text apps. This is by far the cleanest & smoothest and most importantly easy to navigate with no complications. I’ve been so impressed that I’m telling friends about Unlisted! This is intuitive and clean and just employs a no nonsense approach to everything you expect from an app like this! It’s very affordable and provides lots of convenient options. And no constant advertisements! I can’t wait to use this for all my communication all while providing a wall to protect my privacy. I notified the company after I got my new phone and I asked for my old number back well it’s been two weeks now and still they have me covered the number! The Worse Part OF This I had $35 credits that I lost. And I don’t really care that I lost $35 in credit didn’t really make an effort to recover my number which can be done because they were notified.

If you really want to get a number from them think twice that’s my best advice. The least they can do is find a way to pay me back for those who lost credits

I have had one number on here for over four years now that I use for business. It’s great to not have to carry a second phone or use my personal number for clients. The iOS calling integration means incoming calls ring on my phone just like a “real” number. I also get new temporary numbers from time to time when I sell things on Craigslist and don’t want to publish my cell. It’s nice being able to block creeps when I’m done selling. Love SecondTextingNumber!

Am actually glad that I found SecondTextingNumber as I have a business account and did not want to pay $100 a month for another phone, and line. Both personal and business calls come directly to my phone so no need to carry a second one around as I already have quite a bit of things to carry around.

Glad to have tried and have the use of a private use number, it came in handy fir calls I didn’t want to make from my personal/private number. I only wish I would have known that they only provide this number fir a month and if you don’t use the minutes you’ve paid for you lose both the money/minutes AND the number! That’s not so convenient.

I feel like SecondTextingNumber is The best for calling or texting it actually feels like your on your own phone and they don’t have all those random commercials and ads that pop up out of nowhere and don’t let you go back to your texting takes you automatically to some random game to download

I’ve been using SecondTextingNumber for almost two years now. I haven’t had any issues with my number stating active at all. The few times I’ve contacted support, they were very helpful and timely with their response. I primarily use my number to avoid spam, telemarketers and as an alternate for my freelance clients. Voicemails come thru clear when I access saved messages.

As I explained. I signed back into my account. It kept defaulting and asking me to make “ a new account.” After 4 years I know how to use SecondTextingNumber . It made a text notification sound and when I went to open the text SecondTextingNumber totally wiped out of my iOS. One of your techs couldn’t even reference the email it was connected to. Another reached out over a day later with the same unhelpful troubleshooting. I don’t need to continually be told - I logged out and need to log back into my account. Your customer service is awful and I’ve notice throughout the years that SecondTextingNumber isn’t what it used to be. I’ve had more than usual bad sound quality, dropped calls, and hard to understand voicemails.

Consumers there are too many options out there. Go with another 2nd line option

I went with “ burner subscriber “ it’s Amazing and less expensive for 3 lines.

This is a great service because you can have multiple phone numbers for different businesses or whatever you need and then pay for one set of texts or phone calls which can be used amongst all of them. And it’s a pretty fair rate

It’s cool I didn’t realize that when you bought minutes that you are not really buying minutes you are paying for a month and get so many minutes to use during that month. I still have 30 something minutes but because my month is almost up I need to pay again. I wish that was explained alittle better

I use SecondTextingNumber to separate my work calls from my personal phone without having to carry another phone around. I like it calls are clear enough and who can beat the texts. Only thing is that the minutes go pretty fast, sometimes I’ve only used 5 minutes and SecondTextingNumber will deduct 8-9mins from my credit. Other than that good

My phone broke and wouldn’t register a SIM card so I was out of luck for a while before finding SecondTextingNumber, so long as I have WiFi I can make calls and texts so it really saved me from having to buy a new phone for a bit. Simple and easy to use but very handy.

Hours after signing up and selecting a number SecondTextingNumber shows me as not having any numbers even though I see a pending (3 days away) charge in my Apple App subscriptions. Unfortunately I already used and can’t change the number I initially selected for my required purpose and now I have no access to it. Vendor responded the bug has been fixed so I will try again when I have the need.

Perhaps the best part of this voip app is the navigation and clean look and feel. Next?? You can add a number or change your old number in less than a minute. Great for those annoying stalkers you can’t get away from :)

Spouse always over your shoulder or picking up your Phone to see your texts? You need SecondTextingNumber. Face recognition keeps them from accidentally getting access and seeing things they shouldn’t. Wish I knew about SecondTextingNumber this months ago!

This to give out a number so I’m not giving my personal number. It helps me keep track of who is calling. When I sell my Real Estate, I give out my unlisted number so I don’t keep getting calls after it’s sold. I can just change it to a new number. Love SecondTextingNumber!!!

I love SecondTextingNumber it hasn’t let me down yet! I’ve only had it 2 days. I did the 3 day free trial but I’ve already used up all of my free credits and I believe I will be purchasing SecondTextingNumber!!! It is a million times better than TextNow and any other WiFi app I have used this one definitely beats them all!

My phone is issued through my employer. I purchased SecondTextingNumber for privacy of phone calls and texts on the phone bill my employer also covers. I have tried to contact and figure out if my texts (phone numbers and context) as well as phone calls show up on my bill, but can’t get a response. I really liked the privacy possibility while not carrying two phones but I wish I could confirm if it actually did that for me or not!

Perfect for separating work and personal calls. Super convenient feature to have separate numbers with option to forward calls to my personal line as necessary without giving out my personal number to clients.

Been using this for a while. It works seamlessly and is a great way to have an alternative number to txt from. Works even with pic texts as well. Due to all the robo calls when I have to give out a number to someone I don’t trust this is my go to service.

If u don’t see SecondTextingNumber in the notifications menu just re install. Works perfect now and I get real time alerts. Wish I didn’t have to remember to always buy more monthly time but that’s only issue I have. Much cheaper than other 2nd line app.

Despite being prompted to do so, you can’t buy more time or texts unles you ALSO buy another number. This is super frustrating.

SecondTextingNumber is a good app but it does have some technical issues for some reason when I tried calling it dropped the call which was unusual and then it kept kicking me out of SecondTextingNumber .. maybe it might be my phone or it might be SecondTextingNumber but overall it’s a really good app and I recommend it too anyone who needs a second phone number

Best phone line app I’ve used - great as an American expat to keep old US number working and useable while living outside of the country indefinitely. Erik is super helpful in answering about any issues and goes above and beyond in customer care!

SecondTextingNumber was working well for me until today when I tried to get a new number. The first time it got stuck on the screen right after I paid for the new number. I tried to get another number (paying yet again), same issue - screen hangs right after the payment is accepted.

I have an iPhone XS Max with no issues with other apps.

I’m looking for a reasonably priced app that will give me a second line for my phone and at first glance thought this one was a good alternative to Burner because there was a $2.99 a month and a credit pay option. I paid the monthly fee and then discovered you also have to buy credits on top of that to make it work.

Go for the good app that already has a good reputation and get Burner. It’s cheaper!

Functional service and helps with additional business

I’ve had SecondTextingNumber for a while and I really enjoy it. I haven’t had a problem until now. For some reason it keeps adding texts I didn’t buy to my account. I’m up to 10,000 texts now. I don’t need to be charged for texts I’m not actively buying. Thanks for your attention.

I hate when websites ask for my phone number. I have one and I intend to keep it for a long time. LineUp is the perfect app to get a 2nd number that I can give to all the websites.
