Simple Interval Timer (SIT) is an app that can be used for any kind of interval training, such as running, cycling, HIIT sessions, stretching, etc. It is an easy-to-use interval timer with a plain design and no unnecessary controls. The app allows you to adjust the number of sets, action, and break duration to your needs. SIT remembers the last 5 configurations you have used and can run in the background while you are doing other things on your iOS device. SIT Watch is a version of the app for Apple Watch that offers the same functionality and measures your heartbeat during workout sessions.

Simple Interval Timer (SIT) can be used for any kind of interval training, such as running, cycling, HIIT sessions (including Tabata method), stretching, etc. SIT is exactly what you would expect. An interval timer, which is easy to set up and use. It features a nice plain design, with no unnecessary controls. Adjust Number of Sets, Action and Break duration to your needs and you are ready to go! On the iOS an extra switch control allows you to prevent the screen from dimming. SIT remembers the last 5 configurations you have used. Swipe left across the Settings screen to switch to another configuration. SIT can run in the background, while you are playing music, watching videos or doing anything else on your iOS device. SIT Watch features the same simplicity as the iOS app while offering the same functionality, plus it will measure your heartbeat during the workout sessions. The recordings will be available in the Apple's Health app. SIT Watch runs independently of the phone, so no need to have your phone around during your workouts (although you will need your phone during the very first time you launch SIT watch). SIT lets you avoid any tedious set up and focus on your training!

Finally a free app that doesn't limit the number of times you can use the timer before you have to pay! Worked perfectly for the circuit I use for working out. It was so nice not to have to reset a timer between each exercise. The app also counts down the last three seconds so you know when to switch. Great app!

I have been using this app for years for running, body building and CrossFit. This is the easiest hiit app. It has audible beeps to prompt go and stop that can be heard over music. Just input your sets, work and rest times. It also has a 3 second countdown which I love. This app is the best!

This is a simple, no nonsense HIIT timer. I use it. My kids use it. It truly fits the bill. All we need is 20 seconds on and 10 seconds rest— for eight sets total. Why this was so difficult to set up using other apps is beyond me. Most others with the unnecessary bells and whistles just fell flat.
