Great App!

I really like this app and use it every time I ski. It is a very smart app, and by just turning it on and off you end up with all your ski trips arranged by resort and full of stats--both for the trip itself but also by month and season. Also fun to see if you can get on the day's leaderboard around the world. If you're wondering how that guy at the top of the leaderboard actually got 35k more vertical than you, you can tap on his stats for the day and marvel. However, the social function and interaction isn't done quite so much or isn't a very integral part of the app. Or that could just be for me--maybe the capability is really robust. (And I'm thinking, by way of comparison, of an app like Strava, where the social element is very important.) My one problem with Trace is that it's super finicky about adding pictures to a session. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for when it works and doesn't, and I don't think you can add a picture after uploading a trip.

A Must-have for a Serious Rider/Skier

I love this app. I have been using it every time I head to the mountains for a very long time now. It’s great to see stats like runs/vertical/time/max speed/calories and many more. I never had any issues with this app, freezing or inconsistent data and I’ve been using it since the earlier versions. If you do have issues, it is most likely your phone’s problem. (I am on an iPhone5) They recently redesigned it, and it looks good, one big play button is really all you need. I tried couple others but nope, nothing comes close to the design and user friendliness of this app. One bug I found; Close the app. then start a new session again and it will combine all the days stats this is great but say, if you ride in Breckenridge all day then decide to head down to Keystone for a night skiing when you ready to post day’s data, it will combine all the data thinking you were at Breck all day. While this is a big edge case you might want to look into it. Disable wi-fi and you set to go.

Fun App with some serious data

Great insight to my mountain experience with the visual mapping of the day's activity and competitive statistics. Very helpful in finding perspective to the mountain and knowing where you've been. I'm sure the App will just keep getting better. There is even technical support on the other end of the phone if needed, they were very helpful. Thanks for the fun app!!!
