After the update it doesn’t recognize e-subscriptions nor bought over iTunes Store anymore. Still works fine on the old version on the iPad. Extremely annoying.

Since iOS 15 SüddeutscheZeitung always crashes seconds after opening. The developers are unresponsive and have not addressed this fatal failure since more than two months.

I love SüddeutscheZeitung but I am only giving one star because it doesn't support iOS 5 and newsstand. SüddeutscheZeitung has good functionality and is a pleasure to use. However, there is no excuse not to add iOS 5 newsstand given that all three iPads use iOS 5.
Add newsstand so the subscription downloads automatically as well as an iPhone counterpart and I will buy a yearly subscription tomorrow and update to 5 stars!!

Man könnte verzweifeln: Da macht die Sueddeutsche alles richtig, und meint, die Qualität müsse unbedingt durch einen hohen Preis gesichert bzw. bewiesen werden. Das macht doch alles keinen Sinn, wenn man bedenkt, welche Kosten fuer den Verlag wegfallen. Impulskauf fuer ein Jahr bei einem Preis ueber 300 Euro (ohne Moeglichkeit des clippens von Artikeln) ist jedenfalls ausgeschlossen. Schade.

App ist gut gelungen, mal abgesehen von den Lockartikeln für ein Abo. Leider ist die Qualität der kostenlosen Artikel mancher Journalisten inhaltlich recht schwach. Anscheinend verdienen sie nicht genügend Geld mit Klicks. Vielleicht das journalistische Niveau anheben, dann gibt’s mehr Leser und man braucht keine Abos online verticken oder gleich alle Artikel komplett nur im Abo anbieten.

Leider sehr überteuert. Lohnt sich nur mit sz-plus-abo weil man ein tablet seiner Wahl dazu bekommt. Dann lohnt es sich allerdings sogar wenn einen das abo nicht interessiert.

Die App an sich ist wirklich gut und übersichtlich, das einzige was mir fehlt ist die Einbindung in das Apple Programm Newsstand/Kiosk womit dann auch automatische Downloads erfolgen könnten.

Eine schöne App, wenn man erstmal in einer Ausgabe angelangt ist. Aber der Kiosk ist auf dem Retina Display wirklich hässlich.
