I would give ADPRun negative stars if it were possible for lack of effort from such a large payroll firm. Why even bother developing an app that is so incredibly limited? Anytime I need to manage our employee’s payroll, I cannot from this mobile app. I need to have access to a desktop or laptop in order to do anything. You would think ADP (one of the largest payroll companies in the world) would have the resources to build a useful app for business managers and owners. ADPRun is non-functional at best. Why did ADP even bother? I find it sad that lesser known and newer payroll systems on the market have much better mobile functions than ADP for remote processing on any platform. It’s 2020 and ADP seems to be stuck in 1999. In today’s world of mobile workforces, having a functional app is no longer just a luxury, it is mission-critical. I expect a lot better from ADP. We have been using ADP for four years, but we will be looking elsewhere for payroll services due to our need for mobile payroll functionality.

ADPRun would probably do whatever an Employee needed as far as viewing your payroll, and if you need to do nothing but “run” a payroll that you have already edited and reviewed on the desktop site this would do it.
But in today’s mobile world it would be nice if I could access zip recruiter, access GL reports to download to QuickBooks, access the “full” employee record in case changes need to be made, add an employee or do most of the things an employer needs to do.
The worst part is that at least before I loaded ADPRun , I could access the actual site via my phone’s browser but once ADPRun was added, I can no longer even bypass ADPRun for things I need, I have to either have a laptop handy or get to a desktop. The idea is Great, but the execution is terrible especially from the largest payroll processing company around.

I don’t understand why big companies are so bad now. The bigger the company the worse they are. Instead of making me use an app while on my phone, maybe spend the time it took to develop ADPRun to just improve your overall web portal. I have 3 companies with ADP and a 401k program. I literally have to have 5 different emails in order to access everything. So stupid.

ADPRun is so limited it’s almost completely useless. I wouldn’t be as frustrated as I am if I was allowed to log into my ADP dashboard through an Internet browser on my phone like most of my other business apps allow me to do. However ADP restricts me from even logging on through a browser. QuickBooks is a company I consider to be stuck in the dark ages in my opinion. However I use them because of the availability on apps and through availability through browsers if the need arises. ADP falls behind QuickBooks on their availability through mobile applications and browsers. It’s an absolute joke.

I don’t see the point? My browser automatically sends me over to ADPRun. Downloaded ADPRun and to my surprise you can do absolutely nothing from it. Can’t change rates, can’t add employees, can’t change banking info, you can’t do anything. And if the time cards need to be edited then you have to go find a computer and login. Come on it’s 2019. I literally work from daylight to dark and now when I get home at night I have to go sit down at a desk and mess with payroll when it could very easily be done from the field. ADP please read these reviews and get it together.... such a waste of time.

ADPRun is frustrating for multiple reasons. One, when you have installed it you can’t login to the regular website on your device, it automatically forces you to ADPRun . Even when I delete ADPRun , it still forces me to it. Sometimes you need to go to the regular website because ADPRun doesn’t have all the functions, mainly you can’t see any service tickets you’ve opened. App might be useful you could actually see your service tickets and replies that customer service representative given.

ADPRun is ONLY for processing payroll and reviewing payroll reports.

It DOES NOT ALLOW:
1. Changing personal info for employees
2. Changing payroll rates
3. Reviewing addresses
4. Reviewing start dates

ADPRun FAILS to allow any semi-advanced functionality, which is needed for COVID 19 reports.

ADP does not even allow you to access the desktop site on your mobile phone. It forcibly moves you to ADPRun WITHOUT OPTION.

For a company like this, I am surprised that they have not remedied these issues. Perhaps there is another platform that they offer that fulfills these needs, and that this version is meant to frustrate you into the up-sell.

Edit: I’ve been telling ADP to either allow me to use my mobile browser or use ADPRun to run wholesale client payroll for TEN YEARS. I am not exaggerating. It is an embarrassment that the country’s largest payroll processor is run so poorly.

ADPRun DOES NOT WORK with wholesale accounts, which makes it exceptionally stupid that the Run Payroll website automatically forwards to ADPRun. How am I supposed to run payroll for my clients while I am on vacation or out and about?! Extremely poorly thought out process and very frustrating.

Great App when it works, unfortunately ADPRun sticks when you try to resume or run payroll. It pops up and tells you you have to review time cards but then does not allow you to see the time cards. You have to press OK at least 5 to 10 times before it will finally pop up the time cards if it does at all. Please fix it ASAP!

ADPRun does not allow you to access ziprecruiter or most HR functions. In addition it won’t allow you to open the browser version even after you delete ADPRun . Which means if you wanted to get an employee paystub on the go you will have to log into your computer. If ADPRun had a negative star, I was click it twice. Developers have never run a small business before based on these functionalities.

Terrible payroll company to begin with. Has absolutely no support. I downloaded ADPRun to use the chat function however now just one day later after successfully using the chat it is refusing to allow me claiming I don’t have access despite having had it yesterday, logging in again, and PAYING for the feature with my enhanced payroll.

When attempting to use the website, it forcefully redirects you to ADPRun Store rather than letting you login. Then when using ADPRun , it doesn’t have all the things I access online. So I have to be at my desk to use adp payroll as an employer. Gross

Every time I attempt to log in ADPRun tells me I have the wrong user name and password. So change my password thinking that would allow me access, but no same error message comes up. Called customer service and no help there either. ADPRun is ridiculous. The all the negative reviews you would think ADP would do something to correct these problems.

Trying to add an employee which you can not do on ADPRun . Went through Safari and Chrome trying to access Desktop Site as employee needs to be added immediately. Impossible! They redirect to ADPRun which is useless for HR functions. On hold 20 mins later and still no customer service on phone. Very frustrating as payroll is due.

Forces you to use the mobile app. Need features on the go but can’t access them due to forcing you to go to ADPRun . Par for the course because ADP has horrid customer service. They also promise you many things to go with them and then they completely go unresponsive just like ADPRun when you need them.

I need to change tax information on an employee and there’s no way to do that through ADPRun! Pointless if ADPRun isn’t at least as complete as the online version. And what’s worse, it that none of my browsers on my iPhone will let me use the webpage option and simply redirects me to this useless app. 😡

Unfortunately ADPRun can’t help you at all if you want to run you payroll and the time and attendance needs to be fix you can’t fix it from ADPRun you will need you computer to fix it so why I need ADPRun when I can’t don’t nothing what I need to do

ADP needs an entire overhaul of their mobile platform. I am completely unable to submit payroll for my staff using my phone as I am unable to manually edit time cards through ADPRun . If I try going to the website I am redirected to ADPRun . This very inconvenient for when I am on the go and do not have my laptop accessible to me.

Not sure why I’m taking the time to write this since 3+ years of negative reviews should have prompted some sort of action from ADP. ADP must not be concerned with any functionality of their app. I am not able to use ADPRun at all, won’t let me log in. I love ADP as a whole, but I would love them even more with a functioning, useful app.

ADPRun has limited functionality and, if you’re trying to login from a phone or tablet, you’re forced by ADP to use ADPRun (can’t do browser login from these devices; only from a computer).

I don't see the point of ADPRun since there's only a few features available. I can't access the desktop site on mobile without it redirecting me to ADPRun . Either put all of the functions on ADPRun , or make a mobile website site. ADPRun is absolutely useless.

Doesn’t have a payroll calculator function to write manual checks (for those situations where a check needs to be written before the payroll period). Calling Adp directly involves a 29-40 minute wait to speak to someone and the website doesn’t work on iPhone Safari or Chrome. Currently looking for another payroll service!

I am so surprised that in this day and age this does not have iPad support. On top of that the website on the computer has million times better User Interface. I really hope they change this soon there looks to be better options out there right now.

I have a difficult time recruiting zip recruiter through ADPRun. Because I have complimentary zip recruiter through ADP, I cannot seem to go to that functionality from ADPRun. I have to always use the laptop computer to get to zip recruiter. Not great functionality for me.

For wholesale clients, ADPRun is not authorized. Hopefully ADP will fix this soon. They would like to run payroll via an app too.

After I click on Start, it says that hours and time card data have to be validated. Can’t run payroll via app anymore

Called support to see if they could fix it. Their solution was to delete ADPRun and reinstall it. That did not work.
