this app is a wonderful, technically ultra-modern, eclectic radio station that harks back to the origins of FM, located in France, of all places! The DJs are ultra cool and low-key. Taking into account the time zone for France, the live stream is usually perfect for the time of day («drive time », etc.). Hear something cool and not remember what it was? You can search backward for a couple of weeks by date and approximate time to see and re-hear exactly what was played! Highly recommended.

I wish American public radio were this good. Commercial radio was this good half a century ago before trickle-down made everything about maximizing profit, because DJs had more discretion about what they could play instead of just the 5 most popular songs. There are some lyrics occasionally that might be offensive to American ears, but the vivacious nature of the music is refreshing to my corporate-grinded soul.

Only spent a few years in Paris, and perhaps one of the greatest takeaways of that experience was falling in love with this app. Like all of us, was forced to stream it on my slow and crappy desktop with even slower and crappier internet connection.
That was nearly 20 years ago. And now? Thanks to this handy app, I again have instant access to the world’s greatest radio 📻 station.

Great eclectic selection of music from multiple genres. I’m a regular listener who enjoys the variety, novelty, and quality of the playlist. There are definitely some songs I don’t like, but I’m more than glad to accept that to get the benefit of this type of radio, which is virtually extinct elsewhere.

For me, the perfect balance of yesterday, today, and the bleeding edge of music, all served up in a perfectly fresh way. I mostly listen to the main broadcast and occasionally dip into specific genres, because it’s the whimsical mix I appreciate so much.

I love this app, its my favorite online radio and one of favorite sources of music. However after update and redesign Fip lowered in quality, some features gone, others broken.

Favorites export is broken, but at least show the the list of my fav tracks then so I can manually search for it. No sync of favorites between web version and mobile.

Connectivity issues, tracks/stations skipping quite often.

Can't switch stations anymore from Lock Screen.

Currently playing track is often not updated, or displaying weird combo of previous song name, but different artist.

Overall I think redesign was unnecessary, it dropped lot of nice features and only gave some visual aesthetics (questionable)

I’ve listened to this app for over a decade. How many times have I stopped and asked “Who is that” over the years? Thanks to Fip , not only do I know, but I can fave it for later. If I could only listen to one station for the rest of my life, it would be this app.

There is no better music streaming app out there, period. Hugely eclectic and flawlessly curated. I’ve discovered more good music from this app than from all other streaming services put together. Why pay for algorithms when you could have Radio France for free?

Great music all day and such a mix it’s never boring. Plus French news. Wish Fip ads were slightly less intrusive but they got to make money too so I’m not really complaining. Keeps the francophones happy.

Probably no way I can make it through this lockdown without Flip. Great constantly wonderful eclectic flow of music reminding me of vibrant life! Thanks from my boogie woogie heart. When the virus is gone Flip will still be here. And I’ll be flippin’ happy.

I absolutely love Fip and the song selection. Top-notch, world class. But the bloody app shows the wrong song and artist titles and has for TWO YEARS.

This is important in a music app! Users should be able to see who the song is by! Artists deserve credit for their work! Why won’t the developer fix this?

Best mix of genres, artists and “stations” I’ve encountered. Nothing as good in the US. Fip should give a bit more information about the songs and artists in a readily accessible format. Can’t believe it’s free! Thanks!

And a nice app that goes with it. I listen to this app on a Sonos and it’s not showing me the title and artist there - so I use Fip - handy! I can just add the new awesome track to my Apple playlist and look smug when people discover tracks thanks to me:)

Radio stations 5 ⭐️ But discrepancy between track names and tracks being played is catastrophic. Leaving one of the basic functions of Fip broken all these months...

As a listener in the US, I love how this app curates music from all genres from many parts of the world. And, as an American listener, I love listening to music from the US - past and present- that doesn’t get any exposure or air play anywhere else. Merci, Radio this app!

While I live streaming Tidal and listening to my LPs, there is just something great about the randomness of a well-curated, eclectic radio station. Props to Sid Mashburn for turning me on to Fip.

After 6 year lost in the US radio desert, we just found out that this app had an app available on the non-French App Store - soooo good to have this app back with us!

this app is my absolute favorite radio station, bar none. Except for morning edition and all things considered on NPR this is our go to.

Great radio station with no commercials. I have been streaming this station for over 3 years. The selection of their music is just awesome.

I totally recommend Fip. It showed me amazing new artists and great music from all over the world, escaping the all pervasive pressure from bad American pop music.

Love the stations and the content. Fip however stutters constantly, even more so after the new update. Stream stops every few seconds. My internet is very fast and I don't struggle streaming with anything else.

... by not providing a dedicated French Chanson channel which is sorely missing on the world’s thematic web radio scene and this app is uniquely positioned to provide.
