ICQ Video Calls & Chat Rooms Reviews

ICQVideoCallsChatRooms has been great! I like that it easily pairs up with the desktop version of the program. I have only found the issue that I’ve needed to reinstall it because of problems with message notifications. I have also recently found the problem where I am unable to look up more than one thing when doing a search through a chat. I’ve only been able to search one item, get the results, and then I can’t search anymore.

I read an article that listed ICQ as a great app to reminisce of the chat rooms we used to have back in the early 2000’s.

Downloaded ICQVideoCallsChatRooms and soon found out some men use it to prey upon women, to either scam them or for sexual purposes. One man, whom I had to block, added me to a private group chat with over 3k people in it. It’s a private group for the sole purpose of sharing and posting pornography. As I was reporting the images, a thumbnail for a video showed there was a child involved. I reported the chat due to child pornography. This was two days ago. ICQ has not done anything to eliminate the group chat or even the accounts posting the content. Which I also reported.

After managing to find someone that could guide me, I was told to contact an ICQ moderator who can delete groups and accounts. But was told ICQ allows this kind of group chats as long as there is no child pornography. Wow! If that’s the case why is that chat still running after reporting child pornography content in it!

There are fun group chats. But the fact that the reported content goes unnoticed really bothers me.

*Update* It has been a week since the chat and child pornography was reported through ICQVideoCallsChatRooms and after contacting ICQ via email. Name of chat and link for owner of chat was provided. Nothing has been done. Owner posted more child pornography.

TO ALL this application IS NOTHING like the original ICQ ( I Seek You)...where the entire chat was Anonymous. This is nothing more than the GRU capitalizing on Nostalgia, and using it to Phish for your information WILLINGLY. I would never recommend ICQVideoCallsChatRooms to my worst enemy...

So the Developer contacts me but gives a blurb to respecting user data control as if it means nothing....when you look at their privacy statement there is a link to the actual privacy policy but guess what...it’s in Russian...Apple should remove ICQVideoCallsChatRooms for that alone, never mind all the Russian Government interference....after all your data is rushing through Russian owned servers....no way to know for sure WHAT the Russian Government owns and has access to, regardless what this developer says.

So I’ve read the policy - no mention of Encryption, nothing other than they have the right to SELL your data to 3rd parties, nothing about your rights or privacy. Small blurbs on setting your security, but then backhands you and says “it’s your responsibility” everything about it says they are not responsible. In this day and age ANY Company has a burden of protecting your data not selling it all for profit. There is already an app like that, it’s called FaceBook

My husband & I are currently in a long distance relationship & have been looking for a good forum for video calling. We’ve used Duo but I want something else bc I don’t like to support Google. Also we had tried Tango in the past but he seemed to remember us having some technical problems. We are usually good at navigating around new apps, but trying to navigating ICQ turned out to be confusing & frustrating. For example, we’d press a ‘button’ thinking a certain action was going to happen but a totally different one would. Also the sound had a significant delay & echo (we’re only a few states apart, not a few countries) which meant I heard everything I said twice. Finally we got annoyed enough to not want to continue & deleted ICQVideoCallsChatRooms .
I think we’ll just head over to Skype.

Please, update your app that supports Tor, VPN, that only uses the latest form of TLS, and eliminate HTTP pure text, or badly outdated “security” features, that still uses SSL, or plain text, vs TLS encryption. The same applies as to why OpenPGP isn’t included by default in email, or the same direct perfect forward secrecy between connections. I understand offering ads, makes no issue or problem, and so long as they use “safe” annoying pop ups and stuff. So long as ads would qualify to the “safe” ads that are easily approved and allowed by any half decent content blocker. I grew up using ICQ, and would gladly jump back towards using ICQ only, if those security holes were fixed and removed.

When my boyfriend couldn’t FaceTime me when he had a different type of phone, and I had an iPhone ICQVideoCallsChatRooms was our go to now we chat together with friends privately without having to use our messenger app on our iPhones. I love the stickers that you can choose as well and I like that you can make your own stickers. The only issue we had was the fuzziness on facetime but other than that no complaints. You can also see when another person is online or has read their message. You can edit and delete personal messages you have sent as well.

Thank you for responding to my review last time I sent it about privacy features. Today’s review will be about the loading times for sending pictures and videos. When your sending pictures and videos with someone or a group chat for example it needs to be fast. That person/group needs to receive the pictures/videos lighting fast speeds. Right now it is kinda fast but still noticeably slow. And when someone sends a video it doesn’t properly send. Please fix this. Thank you.

I want to use an app with my husband, families and best friends only. My friend referred this lovely app To me. So far, it works very well. A lot of free cute stickers and I can have private space as well. I hope it can keep protecting the privacy of the chat and account. The only problem is the contact list with an “invite” button in the main window. I have to try best every time to avoid inviting since I want to keep it private. Any tips?

Best messaging app I’ve had yet! The only suggestion I have is in the stickers when the “N” shows up there should be a new section so it’s easy to see what’s been added, not just the trending. Also maybe an ICQ section so we know specifically what ICQ has put out. Now that everyone can do stickers it’s a bit overwhelming and I loved the ICQ ones that I feel I’m missing out on now! Still love ICQVideoCallsChatRooms though!!!!!

ICQ remains the best chatting app ever, you can logging on any devices and your chat history will be there unlike other app. You have to backup other app if you really want your past messages history. I think they need working on the Availability of users to determine if user want you to know if they’re online or not. They use to have but not anymore which is not fine.

ICQ is good enough to chat on but i just wish you guys would work on addition more features to the icq so it would be more of use to the public just like the general chat room (whatsaap). We should be able to post video on our profile status and many more. You guys are really doing a good job.

With Snapchat being the biggest for social texting it’s sad to see how they still are glitchy and laggy with constant bugs. ICQVideoCallsChatRooms is the best I’ve found for communication and really easy to figure out how to use. Some sort of video/media page update would be AMAZING PLZ

Very disappointing. Wanted to switch from Duo and IMO to ICQ but couldn’t for the heck of it made it work on my iPad. Latest iPad, latest iOS! When opening, it had a very thing active strip masking the access to ICQVideoCallsChatRooms , which I finally realized was some writing to link to the Privacy Policy and at the very bottom an accept button. Pressing it, swiping it, nothing let me get past it. .... Deleted and reinstalled, no changes. So I guess I’m stuck with other apps that at least work.
P.S. is everybody aware that this is maintained and owned by a Russian Company?

I read a few racist reviews here about ICQVideoCallsChatRooms. Apparently, a few people think that they are so important that the Russian government is interested in their silly chit chat! For God’s sake! IF you have a problem with Russia, just use Facebook! While this is not the old ICQ that a lot of us loved, it’s a very good app!

I just got this new device and I have been trying to login into my icq account with my phone number and it keep saying incorrect but I have the account on my old account , I’m able to access it there but when I try logging in on my new device it say wrong number ,most of my friends have similar issues. I will be very much glad if I can get an assistance and get my old account back

The only thing that I would change is blocking. When you block someone it’s completely removed from your chats, but the can still see the messages and videos. I think it should be completely removed from their chat as well. Just a thought.

It always logs me out and it takes 3 days for me to be able to log back in. It always says”error, please try again later.” This is so annoying and ICQVideoCallsChatRooms is the only way I can talk to my bestfriend so plss fix it like.. yeaaaa. It really needs to be fixed.

Hi! I love ICQVideoCallsChatRooms use ICQVideoCallsChatRooms every day but I would love it if you made it so the badges (the red thing that shows you how many notifications you have) went past 1,000. The limit is 999 and I wish it could show me how many notifications I have because I have more than 999

Love ICQVideoCallsChatRooms , just wish it was compatible with Apple Watch. Would be awesome to be able to get notifications on my watch. I use to but they stopped when I recently updated to iOS 12.4. Would be even more awesome if it was watch compatible, not only received notifications but also have the ability to respond thru the watch (much like regular texting).

I remember when this program was first out, everyone love using it there was so many groups that you can join and communicate with people all over the world. I met so many wonderful people, We really had fun with it. Now that it has gone and come back, it is taking a little getting used to, a lot of what we had is not there anymore

I know how good iCQ is. It shouldn’t hurt just to ask. I have been very familiar with the colorful chat room that ICQ is known for other than being a true messenger. It is better than the long defunct Yahoo and the overrated AOL Messenger. You can find friends and create groups for a private chat session.

I have the filters, and it says voice changer how do I do that there is no help me button and a random person texted me saying something totally in appropriate and I'm only 10 years old can you fix this not allowed to contact you can you give me a straight answer as a reply

Please....ICQ Updates to much on iPhones...We iPhone users are suffering From the update....Imagine your business partner writes You and you wanna reply him or her....You can lose The opportunity Because of this update so please try and fix it up for we iPhone users

ICQ was much better 10 years ago. So many unique features have been deleted to add such bs as stickers, etc.. at 1 time you could have multiple identifies under the same account.. you could sign on in invisible mode.. you could then select who could see your status and control who would message you.. sometimes it was nice to just sign in to see what's going on without everyone on your contact list knowing you are online.. bring back the good old days

ICQVideoCallsChatRooms is very good for chatting and making group.

The only issue is the video player. You can’t forward, pause or backwards the video. This feature is available in any basic video player. I don’t understand why it isn’t available for ICQ.

I hope to see it soon.
