Llevo diez años viajando a Costa Rica y ésta es la única empresa que no ha tratado de estafarme. El precio que me dieron es el precio que me cobraron. El precio incluía los seguros de a terceros. Aceptaron los seguros contra daños al carro que ofrecía mi tarjeta de crédito. El carro exacto que pedí fue el carro que me dieron. La atención amable e informativa de Silke fue sin par. Fue un poco difícil encontrar la oficina, pero queda frente al Mall San Pedro detrás de la Embajada Italiana. Para mí, ésta es la única empresa de rentar carros en Costa Rica. Si pudiera le daría diez estrellas.

I’ve been traveling to Costa Rica for ten years and this is the only company that hasn’t tried to swindle me. The price that they gave me is the price they charged me. The price included insurance for third party damages. They accepted the collision insurance that my credit card offered. The exact car that I asked for was the car they gave me. Silke’s kind and informative customer service was outstanding. It was a little difficult to find the office, but it’s across from the San Pedro Mall behind the Italian Embassy. To me, this is the only car rental company in Costa Rica. If I could, I’d give it ten stars.

Refund

I rented a car and prepaid for it for 4pm last Monday, I went to go get my vehicle and upon arrival they asked for 200$ deposit, would have been nice to know. The person at the counter gave me options that did not work for me and treated me like I was being rude or unreasonable. I decided to 20 minutes later come cancel my reservation as I could not book a flight in time for it to make sense for my business trip. I came back to the new people at the counter talking about how rude I apparently was, which having worked customer service in award winning companies I know I was not rude at all. They canceled my reservation and did not know when my refund would be given to me, that customer service would have to know, which having worked credit card processing as well I find to be outside of PCI compliance. It is almost Friday and no word from their customer support, which Sixt still has my nearly 300$ in money I already spent before hand. I am not going to use this company ever again and suggest you look into them further before working with them. Completely unsatisfied and I hate leaving reviews like this. Poor service, bad model, and a deplorable service agreement

Outstanding Customer Service

I rented a car from Sixt
in JUNE for three days and extended it for two additional days. I had a family emergency and had to stay longer. In addition to the extra days, when I turned my car in I left my own house keys in the car. I am diabetic and needed my medicine but the agency at the Plaza was closed when I realized I didn’t have my keys.
The customer service young lady Who answered my call patched me through to another agent who found a tow truck to bring the car to the airport and someone there opened the car and held my keys until I could get someone to bring me to the airport location.
I will forever be grateful to the competent staff of workers who helped me that evening and who remained pleasant and obliging during the six hours of my crying.! Sixt will always be my rental company!!!

May cost me my job

Okay okay! I hate that I have to give them one star. REALLY HATE SEEING THAT STAR! Let me begin by saying F)?K Sixt! I turned to this company looking for my dream experience but instead they gave me a horrible nightmare at 7am.
Downloaded their app. Selected my car. Got the premium insurance, the $0 financial responsibility one. Paid (oh how quick they are to withdraw the cash from my account) and got the warming emails claiming CONGRATULATIONS YOUR BOOKING WAS SUCCESSFUL!
With all expenses paid, I confidently go to get my car only to be rejected at the desk because they excepted my payment on a debit card and I did not have a credit card on me. I sat and read through all of their paperwork and nowhere does it say I must bring a credit card in order to rent their vehicle. In addition to that, The transaction was already complete, with NO FURTHER FINANCIAL LIABILITY. In addition to that, the on-site manager took it upon himself to cancel my reservation due to “improper documentation”. I found this out only after contacting customer service. It’s now 3 hours later and I have missed work, my money is tied up, and I’m living a nightmare. Keep hiring (and being) as$h%!@s!

Shining In The Dark

In addition to the competent & friendly service I receive from SIXT at The Plaza Hotel & Casino, LAs Vegas location, The General Manager (Georgios) has gone the extra mile on a few occasions. He not only corrected my account promptly when there was an adjustment needed but handles car exchange situations without the indifference & coldness of most other companies I’ve dealt with where, once they have your money, things get a bit hairy. The staff is full of nice people there & are the reason I switched from using Budget & Georgios is the reason I set up a corporate account. Now, I’m looking forward to starting a monthly car subscription in December. Range Rover Velar or Volvo XC90... who knows but expect the experience to be a good one!

Warning!! This App does not work and you could loose $!!

SIXTrentsharerideplus books cars for wrong dates you will think you have it right until it sends you a confirmation and if you pay on SIXTrentsharerideplus - even if your dates are wrong- and even if you call customer service, they will not help you. When I realized dates were wrong on confirmation, I called, customer service said they knew SIXTrentsharerideplus was faulty but there was nothing they could do. Later I received a letter refusing to let me cancel and said that they would only move the dates out or charge me a $100 cancel fee!!! This happened to me and although I thought I liked the company when I booked with them before -not on SIXTrentsharerideplus - I will never use this company again. They would not take responsibility for their own mistake and chose to abuse their customer)me) instead. I am disputing their cancel charge. This is outrageous behavior!
Don’t make my mistake and pay on SIXTrentsharerideplus !!!

Free Upgrade

This is the second time I’ve used Sixt Rental Car. First time was easy to use, but since it was off site from the airport needed to take the shuttle. Not a problem. This time it on site, which I liked. However, my flight was delayed for over two hours, so my reserved rental car was not available since it was over their two hour time limit for holding a car. There was no car available for about 20 minutes. Luckily I wasn’t on a time restraint. But when a car became available, the attendant at the counter in Atlanta, Ms Raffaela K, gave me a free upgrade. It was a beautiful yellow Mustang. Love it! Couldn’t be happier and was almost glad I was late! Sixt is awesome and I will definitely use them again.

Great Service & Outstanding Staff

I was at the Frankfurt Germany Airport last night and had trouble getting a taxi service to Luxembourg. I wandered over to the Sixt counter to ask for help. The two young ladies who worked there warmly greeted us and searched the Internet for a solution and allowed us to charge our phones while we were waiting. They even offered us chocolates and water. Amazing!

Just an hour ago I booked my Mercedes SUV rental in Denver Colorado for the week of September 21st through Sixt. With this type of warm dedication to customer service this is the only rental car company we will use from now on!

Horrible in Berlin

Two major problems occurred on my first rental experience. I used SIXT to rent a scooter and then the scooter stopped working, it said I was outside the business area (no way to view the business area on the map), then when I drove the scooter back to the area that It was working it was still unable to lock. I was left with a big bill and no response from customer service. I will not be using SIXT to rent anything again.

Bei meiner ersten Vermietungserfahrung traten zwei Hauptprobleme auf. Ich mietete mit SIXT einen Roller und dann funktionierte der Roller nicht mehr. Es hieß, ich sei außerhalb des Geschäftsbereichs (keine Möglichkeit, den Geschäftsbereich auf der Karte anzuzeigen). Als ich den Roller dann zurück in den Bereich fuhr, in dem er funktionierte konnte immer noch nicht sperren. Ich hatte eine große Rechnung und keine Antwort vom Kundenservice. Ich werde SIXT nicht verwenden, um wieder etwas zu mieten.

Car rental

First time using this company, was surprised with outstanding service I got. Rented a car for 5 days at Orlando International Airport. First of all there were no line at rental kiosk at all, took me 5 min to talk to associate, pay and get all info. Plus they upgraded my car from Camry to 4Runner for no cost. Very quick return process, just drop the car with keys at airport parking, 1 hour later got receipt emailed to me. Will definitely use them again!

I love this company

I don’t own a car since I walk almost everywhere I need to go, but when I travel longer distances I always rent a car. This is BY FAR the best car rental company I’ve ever used. The staff is knowledgeable, polite, and extremely helpful. The cars are kept absolutely pristine and they offer better models than any of their competitors and equal to or less the price. Whenever possible I will always use Sixt.

NEVER PRE PAY

Sixt will not allow you to rent a vehicle from LAX without a credit card to file, I prepaid for my reservation ($175+) and was told I was going to receive a cancellation penalty now because I don’t have a utility bill w my name on it to use at another location. Thank you Sixt, not only for making me believe I’d have your good business but also for ALLOWING ME TO PRE PAY FOR MY RESERVATION JUST TO BE TOLD I CAN’T GET A CAR BECAUSE OF ONE STIPULATION. You can literally add on insurance through them and that’s not even enough “good withstanding” for them to give you a vehicle. Hopefully Sixt will give me enough of my money back after they dip in the pot first. Smh, this is my first and last time doing business with you guys! Deleting SIXTrentsharerideplus right now.

Horrible experience

I rented the car for 3 days to drive from Indiana to Houston Texas and when I got to Houston the car started giving me warnings that the oil was low
Anyway we called them and they just didn’t care
So we drove back the same day because we didn’t want to keep driving the suv and for something to happen to it and then be responsible for it
When we got back it had 3% of oil and then the oil light came on so I had to return the car the next day I still had a whole day I was supposed to spend in Houston and I contacted them to see what we could do because I had to cut my trip short because of them not being responsible and having their cars completely ready and everything under control. All they did was give me back like $20 or less which is a slap in the face after everything I went through.
I won’t ever be booking with them.
I’ve rented cars at other places and they’re amazing when there’s problems unlike this company they won’t care .

San Francisco was a joy. SIXT made it happen

Upon arrival in SFO, I was apprehensive of this new rental company being there for me. They were waiting for me and treated me like royalty! The car was spotless and brand new, waiting for me as promised. SIXT has this system down pat and it was an absolutely joyous rental process only to be topped by the return process which took minutes... Great service and I look forward to a long relationship with SIXT as my preferred rental car agency.

Do not use it outside USA

I recently use SIXTrentsharerideplus as I travel to Mexico since I was told it was a good place to rent cars. Very disappointed first I got text messages that there would be some one at the air port to pick us up and take us to the dealer that’s a lie had to walk to the place and their excuse was the had no body to drive. Second I had paid in advance and once I got there they charge for some other thing I had no idea. Third the guy who help had a actitudes. Fourth when I return the car the lady who recibes the car told me she had no one to drive me and my family to te air port and I had four travel bags. Finally I paid double as to what I was quoted. Last time I use SIXTrentsharerideplus.

Nice design but poorly qa

Website was not working when I tried to reserve a car so I ended up using SIXTrentsharerideplus. All my info is already on the website but SIXTrentsharerideplus asked my home address and sixt card nbr. It also asked to take 2 pictures of my passport. It says side passport, which side is it? Very poorly instruction. After I gave my sixt nbr, it still asks me again. It seems that sixt always have qa issues bec I had problem with SIXTrentsharerideplus last year that led me to use a different car rental service and now this. Half disappointed with SIXTrentsharerideplus.

Rentals

I have two concerns. When a person pays in advance to save money they cannot cancel their reservation and you lose your money if something happens and you can’t go. So therefore a person has to pay an extra amount of dollars, which isn’t cheap, at time of rental.
Also I have never, never received the top car on the list. When I get a grouping of jeeps as a top vehicle I always get a Toyota or a Chevrolet. I never get what is the top listing.
I believe both of these things are misleading and just away for the company to make extra money.

Sixt is a great rental option. But I have learned the hard way that some branches are much better than others in terms of vehicle offerings, mystery charges, and sales pitches to buy the rental insurance. I have had 3 nightmare experiences at Sixt DIA, but Sixt ORD experiences have been top-notch. It’s a great way to enjoy premium cars, but be wary of their pricey insurance, hush-hush geographical limitations, and surprise billing after drop-off. Definitely take HD videos of your car before and after.

They no refund the money when they make mistakes

I have a chime credit card my bank tell me is a credit car and I make a reservation whith that card ,when I went to the pick up they ask me for the card and the say they cant rent me the car because is chime car when i alredy pay before , so I call customer service they say my credit card is not a real credit card and because that they refuse rent me a car and refuse to refund and when I call hang me the phone 3 times be careful don’t recommend this company never have this probl before on my life they taking 488 from me really bad

Nice service in Denver

I often fly to Denver and drive up to the mountains. Until recently I had to do business with other rentals. Now this month I was so lucky that Sixt finally opened a branch at Denver airport. Attitude, service and car were more than satisfactory. Signs back to the lot were non existent but I’m sure that will improve. As the outlet is brand new and all.
Looking forward to a speedy and positive service in Zürich next week! 😎

Sixt App is different to the other car rental Apps

...because it actually shows the best rates available on the cars. Avis and Hertz have better Apps, but the prices quoted are generally 50% to double what you can rent the same car from the same agency from using one of the online booking portals like Expedia. To me, this makes them pretty much worthless. I use the Sixt App because it quotes lower than Expedia.

Highest Recommendation

I travel to Europe a couple time a year. The first time I rented with Sixt was about eight years ago. The service was fantastic, the car superb and the price was great, so I used them again on my next trip. Fast forward eights years... Sixt is the only car rental agency I use. I have consistently received excellent service, great cars and the best prices. Sixt gets my highest recommendation.

Sneakily increasing prices bit by bit

I’ve been traveling to/from the same airport in Germany twice a week for several years and the Sixt driver/limo service charges has slow and steady increased over the past 12-18 months by a whopping 50%

Also, since migrating the original Sixt MyDriver app into SIXTrentsharerideplus, i now have to go through several steps to add my mileage bonus program EVERY time I book a ride.

Sixt used to be reasonably priced and with most of the time good service plus a decent app, but it’s all gone downhill since last year...

I’m currently a gold member with Sixt. I came upon this company in Michigan Detroit airport location which is now closed. But I rent quite often from Orlando airport location and couldn’t be happier with my experience there. Time after time I’m beyond pleased.

When I asked for the lady at Bristol drive to NOT say my address out loud she decided to say my address aloud !! And louder . That’s rude and that’s a privacy issue . I’m asking for my monies back on that car rental due to her constant attitude towards me and my rights . It’s also the same “girl” that likes to hang up on me . I have pictures and videos of both incidents.

A great surprise

I once went to a conference in Tampa. When I got to the event every other car there was a BMW,Mercedes,or Jaguar. I was wary of Sixt at first because I’d never heard of them. Recently I was on a trip to San Antonio, and I had to chose Sixt because it was the lowest rate in DTS. The staff was friendly and professional. The Jaguar I got was fantastic I’ll be using them again.

Difficult to understand, great company

The color scheme is not friendly for color blind people. The developers should do their research and tons of down a bit. Otherwise it’s great. Prices could come down a big. You would get many more repeats, rather than deal seekers. Lower prices will get you regulars - or give your members lower prices... loyalty is won, not a given.
